Moving To England

Chapter Fifty-Seven

*Harry’s POV*

*Christmas Evening*

“Harry! Harry! Wake up, Harry!” Gemma exclaims, struggling to shake my awake.

“Go away, Gemma. You’re so annoying.” I moaned, shoving the pillow onto my face.

“Come on. Get up. The party is going to start soon. You can sleep tomorrow.” Gemma demands.

“Argh. Five minutes.” I whined, carrying on in my sleeping position, knowing very well I won’t be up for another 30 minutes.

“Fine. Destiny doesn’t need you there anyway.” Gemma smirked, walking out of the room.

“Damnit, Destiny.” I groaned into my pillow before I begun laughing. “Only reason I’m about to leave this heaven.”

Rolling out of bed, I wobbled into the shower. As the refreshing water, washed over me, waking me up, flashbacks of our trip to Florida played through my mind.

‘Completely worth it. I smiled, thinking to myself. Fresh and awake, I walked out of the bathroom ready to get dressed up.

“Harry? Where are your presents? Your father is going to take them to the hall. Bring them downstairs, honey.” Mum informs me, knocking on my door.

“Oh yeah. Hold up, Mum!” I called to her. Rushing to the suitcase filled with all my presents, I rolled it down to the living room. Loading each one carefully into a large red bag, labelled “Styles”, I made sure I had one for everyone. “Alright. They are all in!” I called to Dad.

“Good. We leave in about an hour, get dressed and help me take these to the hall.” Dad tells me. I nodded, running back to my room.

*Destiny’s POV*

“Destiny? Are you dressed, yet?” Mum calls to me from outside my room, her voice was very faint.

“Mhmm,” I mumbled.

“Destiny?” Mom called again. “Where are-. Destiny!”

“AH!” I screamed, suddenly alert, sitting upright. “What’s wrong?”

“Why are you still sleeping?” Mom questioned me, finding me on the floor sleeping.

“Sleeping? What do you mean I’m getting ready.” I say staggering, looking around and trying to find out where I was.

“Well, you aren’t,” Mom confirmed, weirdly staring at me.

“Oh damn … it was just a dream.” I realise, dazed in confusion. “Where am I?”

“On the ground. Sleeping. Destiny. Are you okay?” Mom raised an eyebrow.

“Yeah.” I nodded, still a little hazy, as I rested my head against the side of the bed. Without warning, Dad walks by my room, peeking in he bursts into laughter.

“That’s not my child.” Dad laughed, “You look like a hairy monster! What have you done to Destiny!?”

“Grrr.” I moaned, throwing a pillow at him, but it barely reached him.

“Ha! Loser.” Dad laughed, teasing me.

“Dad,” I whined, falling back down onto the floor. “Ouch!” I yelped, as my head hit the hardwood floor.

“Ha!” Dad snickered. “Ouch!” Dad yelled as Mum smacked the back of his head.

“Ha!” I laughed, managing to get up.

“Alright, kids. Get dressed, or we’ll be late!” Mom exclaimed, giving both Dad and me stern looks. “And makes sure your presents are ready. David, you have to take them down to the dining hall.” We both nodded and immediately went to do what we had to.

Dumping all my perfectly wrapped presents into the big green bag, labelled ‘Bakers’, I retreated into a long shower. Afterwards, I turned on my music, locked my bedroom door, and admired the outfit I had laid out earlier, as I begun to get dressed.

Dancing into the pair of sheer tights, I locked on my strapless white bra.

Rushing to the bathroom, in my room, I scrubbed off any remaining dirt off my face and begun applying my makeup. Covering my face with a thin layer of foundation and concealer, I dressed my eyelids with a glittering pink shade of eyeshadow and a faded brown eyeshadow outline the top of my lid. Drawing on a sharp, black winged line shape the bottom of my lids, I perfected my eyebrows. Moving on to my lips, I coloured them in with a light red colour. Finishing with contouring and highlighting my face, I went to slip into my dress.

Shrouding my body in a long, silk dress, I went to the mirror trying to fix it and smooth it out. The skin tight top half of the dress was decorated with glittering, with the deep red laces wrapping around my neck. The bottom half, connected by a thin dark belt like strap, was a long glowing, multi-layer red skirt.

Pulling out my hair curler, hairbrush and several hair ties, I pulled my hair into large waves and allowed to carefully on my back. I dressed my arm in a single, gold-coloured arrow bracelet, and my fingers with four silver Charlotte Russe embellished caged rings. Finally, I screwed on my rose gold coloured arrow drop earrings and my black Gian Vito Rossi Bari heels.

Disconnecting my phone from its charger, I turned off the lights, closed my door and left my room.

“Hey, Dad? I’m ready!” I announced, walking downstairs.

“Woah, nice job Monster. You went from hideous to less ugly.” Dad smirked, looking at my astonished.

“Oh please, like you could ever pull this off.” I giggled.

“Oh honey, I’d look absolutely fabulous in that red dress and that stuff on my face.” Dad dramatically posed, in his pretend dress, making me laugh. “But for real, you look absolutely gorgeous. Probably just like your mother, as well, if she ever decided to come out that is.” Dad smiled at me, planting a kiss on my forehead.

“You look very handsome too, Daddy.” I smiled at my Dad, as I admired his red wine colour suit from Marc Wallace.

Dad and I plopped onto the couch, waiting for Mum. “Funny. She was the one complaining about us being late, now look who is being late.” I giggled, rolling my eyes. Nodding in agreement, dad laughed at my comment. “Aren’t you suppose to take that to the hall?” I questioned my Father, noticing the big bag of presents laying in front of the door.

“Shoot,” Dad exclaimed, immediately jumping up, “If your mother asks, I’ve been gone for a long time.”

“Of course.” I laughed, nodding.

*Harry’s POV*

“Harry, help me with this bag, please,” Dad called to me, as I had been texting Destiny in my suit.

“Yeah. Okay.” I nodded, slipping my phone into my pocket. Picking up the large bag with my Father on the other end, we wobbled it into the car.

“Hold on!” Gemma called to us, running towards us in her dress, holding several nicely wrapped boxes her hands, just before we left. “I have a couple more presents.”

“Throw them in,” Dad tells her. Nodding, she did as she said, before retreating to the house.

“Alright. See ya.” Gemma waved at us.

“Hey! Gemma?” Dad calls her back.

“Yeah, Dad?” Gemma asks as she stopped in her tracks and turned around.

“You look beautiful, Darling.” Dad compliments her.

“Thanks, Daddy.” She smiled, brightly, watching us leave the garage. She wore a Sweetheart A-line tea-length red dress, matched with red satin round toe, ankle strap Stillet heels. Covering herself with rose earrings and a matching ring, with a Lord & Taylor 14K yellow-gold flower pendant necklace, Jude Smith Pacey Cup and Rose Gold Micheal Kors Pettit Norrie three-hand watch.

Piling into the car, Dad and I drove off to the Hall.

“I haven’t gotten to talk to you much since I came back.” Dad pointed out.

“Yeah, probably wouldn’t be a first, though.” I lightly laughed, realising that I actually haven’t had any time alone with him since I was about seven years old.

“I really missed everything,” Dad shyly says.

“Yeah, same.” I nodded. The drive to the hall was about an hour long, Dad and I filled it with a long overdue conversation. Chattering about anything we could think of – Mum, Gemma, School, and even Destiny. It felt like I was talking with an old friend, someone I had lost contact with ages ago. Dad told me some stories he had experienced during his time apart from us.

We laughed hysterically, tears running down our faces. Laughing at absolutely nothing. We laughed, laughed with pain, suffering, laughing for all we lost, laughing as if we had lost our sanity. Choking on it, we continued to laugh, unable to stop.

“We are here,” Dad announced, trying to suppress his laugh, as did I. Climbing out of our car, we stood in front of a large dining hall.

“Woah,” I managed to choke out, awestruck by the building’s largeness.

“I know right, and it's all ours for tonight,” Dad nodded. “Come on, you can look around after we get this thing to the tree, inside.” Dad motioned to the trunk. Nodding, I helped him haul the large bag into the building.

*Destiny’s POV*

“Dad is you sure you don’t need help,” I asked, as I helped him load the big bag into the car.

“No, it’s alright. We wouldn’t want your dress to get ruined. Plus, it’ll only be guys there, you wouldn’t want Harry to see how beautiful you look, too early now, do you?” Dad smirked, making me blush.

Apparently, it had been a tradition in between us friends and family, that a husband or boyfriend shouldn’t see their girl before the Christmas party actually begun. Just something fun our parents had done for years, Mom had said.

“Well, alright then. Have a safe ride. I’m going to go check on Mum.” I nodded, kissing my father goodbye.

*Harry’s POV*

All the guys had already arrived at the Hall, along with our gifts, adding any last-minute touch-ups to it.

“Where is David?” Mr Maxwell asked for, probably the tenth time, still tugging at his suit. He wore a snow-white Gucci cotton poplin shirt, with a dark blue Gancini Silk Tie and Oxford, jet-black, plain toe dress shoes. Along with, a two-piece navy blue, Canali formal suit.

“Traffic?” Mr Horan suggested. He was dressed in a dark green suit, dark gold coloured tie, leather dress shoes, and a brown colours wristwatch.

“Argh!” We hear a groan coming from the front entrance, we all rushed to see to it was.

“David!” Dad exclaimed, rushing to help him with the big bag of presents he was tugging behind him.

“This thing is so heavy.” Mr Baker whined, collapsing onto the benches. “I’m getting too old for this.”

“Should’ve brought Destiny along to help you.” Mr Payne suggested, in his white two-piece suit, black shirt, leather dress shoes and black wristwatch.

“And break tradition. No, thank you.” Mr Baker shook his head, trying to catch his breath.

“Tradition?” I questioned them.

“It's something that husbands and boyfriends can’t see their girls before the party. Apparently, they’ve been doing it since they were our age or something. My Mum nearly flipped this morning, when Dad tried to see how she looked,” Louis fills me in.

“Oh right,” I remembered, laughing.

“I mean, we could’ve tied Harry up, and thrown him in the closet,” Niall suggested, smiling.

“I personally would love to do that.” Mr Baker said, smirking at me.

“Destiny probably could've brought that in herself.” Mr Thomas laughed, teasing him, stroking his all white outfit. From his two-piece suit and shirt to his tie and wristwatch, he looked like a pile of fresh white snow, the only difference being his jet-black, Alexander Mc Queen classic dress shoes.

“She actually did carry it from the house to the car, alone…” Mr Baker confessed as the rest of us broke into laughter.

“Of course, she did.” Mr Miles chuckled.

“Oh right. If Faith asks, I was here before all of you.” Mr Baker demanded.

“Let me guess. Destiny reminded you that you have a job to do.” Mr Tomlinson laughed, in his blue coloured Freeman Classic Fit wool suit.

“Obviously.” Mr Baker shrugged.

“What would you do without that daughter of yours?” Dad questioned him, chuckling.

“God knows.” Mr Baker shrugged. Helping Mr Baker carry the bag to the Christmas Tree, we pulled them out and decorated them neatly around the tree. By the time we were done, all the presents were piled high around the massive decorated tree.

*Destiny’s POV*

“Mama! Hurry up! We’ll be late!” I exclaimed, knocking on my Mother’s door.

“I’m coming! I’m coming!” Mom sighed. “First this child makes us late, and now she is showing off that she was ready first.” Mum laughed, shaking her head.

“Oh please, it's more like you rushed Dad and I and now you’re taking your sweet time.” I chuckled. “Can we leave now? Dad just called, everything is ready there, and the girls are waiting outside for us.”

“Yup. Let’s go!” Mom says, coming out of her room.

“Damn Mum.” I complimented her, “You look sexy.” With her body wrapped around a long red Cocktail dress, with a matching lip colour, and golden decorated nails. With her hair flowing behind her, exposing her recently done amber look, she covered her arms with a gold wristwatch, and a double layered round circled bracelet. Here eyes were coloured with a light pink shade and a perfectly done winged eyeliner.

“Thanks, baby.” Mum laughed, kissing my cheek, “You look absolutely adorable.”

“Alright. Let’s go now.” I declared, grabbing my Mom’s hand, exiting the house.

“Hey Girls!” I exclaimed, waving to the girls, as I carefully exited my house.

“Hey!” June called back, as she slowly corded towards me in her dark green Stingray Suede Cage heels. “You look absolutely gorgeous!” June exclaimed, as she fixed her rose flower crown, and smoothed out the long green shirt she wore with a tight fitting white crop top, which bored complicating green patterns.

“Oh my gosh, I don’t like this dress. I picked it up last minute. Urgh, I’m so stupid.” Mabel cried. She was clothed in a floor-length black Ball Gown. It was made with long sleeves and split into a skirt and a tight fitting crop top. She matched it with a golden coloured lip and perfectly winged eyeliner, black heels which were nearly 3 inches tall and a pair of golden drop earrings.

\

“Are you kidding me! You look like a princess!” Ally demanded.

“I don’t come anywhere near you, honey.” Mabel shot back at Ally, who was dressed in an A-Line/Princess Sleeveless High Neck Tulle Beading, floor-length gown. Matching it with plain white heels, white earrings and a matching white lace choker necklace.

“Okay but, look at Elizabeth,” I added, admiring her elegant, floor-length dark blue Ball Gown. Matched with Cobalt Blue ball drop earrings, and Blue and Silverstone stackable bracelets. Dressing her eyes with a light blue eyeshadow and letting her hair loose with a rose bun. She stood tall on her rounded Heels.

After exchanging our compliments, all the girls from our ten families had finally gathered on my front lawn.

“Alright then. We should probably get going. The boys must be getting fancy waiting for us.” Elizabeth’s mother pointed out.

“Definitely.” Mrs Cox nodded, as she fluffed her super curly hair. She was dressed is a beautiful, flowing A-Line red dress, matched with black high heels.

“Destiny?” Mom questioned me, “Where’s my car?”

“Dad probably took it,” I replied

“Okay, so where are the keys to his car?”

“Aren’t they attaching to his key chain?”

“Okay, so he was my car, my keys, and his keys.” Mom sighed.

“So, looks like we are taking my car?” June’s mother laughed, motioning for us to follow her.

“I guess so.” Mom nodded. June, Mabel and I piled into their family car, along with our mothers, and June’s younger sister Suzie.

“If you have the car, how did Adam take your presents?” Mabel’s mother asked, referring to June’s father.

“Oh, I’m pretty sure he went with Ally’s Dad and the twins.” Mrs Bush replied as she drove out of the parking lot.
Halfway through to the Hall, we heard a frantic scream from the front passenger seat.

“Mum?” I exclaimed, scared something bad had happened to her.

“Oh my gosh, calm down,” I say, trying to ease the tension.

“I can’t! I have a lot of money in there. The house keys, my driver’s license, and your father’s expensive watch!” Mom cried.

“Don’t worry Faith, check the car, you probably dropped it in here.” Mrs Miles suggested. Immediately everyone started to shuffle things around, trying to uncover the missing purse. Unfortunately, there was no sign of it.

“We have to go back. I know I had it once I left the house.” Mom declared. Instantly, without warning, Mrs Bush slammed on the breaks, starting everyone, as she turned the car around in a big circle. Terrified, we all let out loud piercing screams. Eventually, the car halted and begun moving ahead.

“Is everyone alright?” Mrs Bush cried, shaking as she continued driving.

“Yeah.” Everyone faintly says, still shock from the event.

“Never riding in a car, with my Mother driving it, again,” Mabel whispered to June and me.

“Agreed. Or at least during winter.” I whisper back.

“Alright good. We can quickly can the purse and go back the party.” Mrs Bush says.

“Thank you.” Mom sighed of relief, as she drove back. Immediately upon arriving, Mum jumped out the car and search for her purse like mad.

“I found it! I found it!” Mum cheered in glee, in front of our doorstep.

“Sheesh Mum, I’m pretty sure the whole neighbourhood can hear you.” I laugh, as she happily returns to the car.

“Oh, shut up. Do you not like my voice, that you’re telling me to quiet down?” Mum snarled at me, jokingly.

“Yes ‘Cause that’s exactly what I said,” I sarcastically shot back.

“Alright, everyone got what they need? Anyone got to use the washroom or anything? I ain’t turning back again,” Mrs Bush announced.

“We are all good, Mum.” June nodded, on everyone’s behalf. With that, Mrs Bush drove off straight to the Hall, where we were met by Dad, and June’s and Mabel’s fathers.

“Look who finally decided to show up,” Mr Bush laughed, as June’s mother parked the car.

“Oh please, don’t bother complaining,” Mrs Bush sighed, waving off his comment, in distress as she carefully gets out of the car not to ruin her floor-length V-neck green dress, which she elegantly matched with a Chanel Green Lambskin Leather Purse and Jennifer Chamundi olive green pointed heels.

“You look beautiful, Emily.” Mr Bush smiled, complimenting his wife, as he helped her out of the car.

“You’re not too bad yourself, Honey.” Mrs Bush smiled back, allowing him to take her hand.

“I guess all that time in your room was spent wisely. You don’t look like half the beast you did this morning, Faith.” Dad grinned at Mum, looking over her, as he took her hand in his own.

“Oh, thank you, Dear. The old rags you’re wearing really bring out the colour in your eyes.” Mom smirked back.

“You’d never have known that they’re in love,” I whispered to Mabel and June, snickering.

“Has everyone else come?” Mrs Miles asked, with her husband’s arms wrapped around her neck.

“Yeah.” Dad nodded.

“Saved the best for last?” I suggested, with a shrug.

“Obviously.” Mabel laughed.

“Now can you go, I really want to see Niall,” June whined.

“Yes, please let’s go inside, it’s freezing out here!” Mr Miles complained.

We trudged along the pavement at a sedate pace, my mind focused on the Harry wondering how he’d react to my appearance. ‘Should I have done something more to my hair?’ I thought to be to panic, ‘Is my dress to simple? Oh my gosh, my makeup could probably be so much better.’

“Destiny? You alright?” Mabel questioned me.

“Yeah. It’s just what if I don’t look as good as I could’ve.” I sighed.

“What are you kidding me right now? You look perfect.” Mabel demanded.

“If it's Harry you’re worried about, then stop. He'd love you even if you had nothing on.” June chuckles.

“Naturally.” Mabel giggles.

“Plus, he is probably dying to see you,” June added.

“Yeah, Zayn texted me saying that he was ready to send a search party after us.” Mabel laughed.

“Alright then, let’s go in!” I declared.

“Let’s,” June added.

Pushing open the large double door, we enter into a large spacious room. A long oak table set in the middle of the chamber. At the very far, left corner stood a large, well-decorated Christmas Tree. It was decorated with bright, golden lights, and several beautiful ornaments hanging off it. The sweet pine aroma of the tree filled the room. It was mixed with other welcoming fragrances which made the room a sensory overload of a pleaser. Underneath it, lay a large red cloth, covered by multiple boxes, each carefully wrapped in cute Christmas themed wrapping paper.

Next to the tree was a lighted fireplace, which was circled by two large couches and several Christmas coloured blankets and pillows covering the floor in front.

Along the high walls, were large glass windows were bore frost-spiked, like an iceman’s glassy fingers.

The silver flash of utensils glittered brightly on the large oak table, next to the delicious looking dishes which were set up neatly. The exotic and spicy whisper of stuffing and parsley burning into turkey flesh makes stomachs rumble and mouths water.

I continued to look around in awe, forgetting about everything else.

When my eyes finally rested upon Harry, I was filled with such joy, as I happily walked over towards him. He wore a Tight fitting red suit, matched with a red tie, with classic jet-black dress shoes.

*Harry’s POV*

“Everyone looks so amazing,” Louis says, wrapping his arm around Elizabeth.

“Yeah, but everyone’s not here yet. Mabel, June and Destiny still aren’t here.” Niall says.

“Oh I think they forgot something at home, we saw June’s Mum turn the car around and go back home.” Ally points out, with both of Liam’s arms wrapped around her.

“But why is it taking them, this long.” I sighed. Just then, the large double doors burst open, grabbing everyone’s attention, to reveal June, Destiny and Mabel entering the room.

Immediately without warning, my mind and body shut down. I fell into a trance, as I watch Destiny’s beautiful self-enter the chamber. Her raven-black hair, flowing off her shoulder, in waves adorn her glowing, porcelain-like skin. Her bright blue eyes, framed by long-lashed. Her straight nose, full lips – she was picture perfect. Her smile seems to drive me mad. Destiny’s dress flowed to the ground, wrapping gently around her body, showing off her beauty and gracefulness.

‘How?’ I though mesmerised, ‘How can one girl look so perfect?’

“Harry? Are you okay?” Destiny shook me out of the trance.

“Not at all. God. You’re driving me mad. You look so amazing.” I say, slowly, still coming out of the trance, “Congratulations, I hope you’re happy, you’ve completely stopped my heart just by walking into the room. Gosh, I don’t even have the word to describe how you look tonight. I love you, Destiny.”

“Harry,” she giggled, blushing as she looked down at the ground, “I love you, too,”

Slowly, I lifted her chin up, so our eyes met, and bring her close to me I leant in to give her a kiss on her lips. Breaking away, we continued to stare at one another, not saying a word but smiling brightly, until Niall’s father broke the daze we were falling in.

“Okay, how about we start dinner? Everyone’s here now!” Mr Horan declared.

“Oh yes! Please!” Niall whined.

“Like father, like son.” Niall’s mother chuckled, shaking her head, making everyone burst into laughter, as we all took our seats.

“Let’s have a toast.” Mr Baker started, as we all lifted our glasses in the air, “To all the chapters we left behind us, and to the new ones waiting to be unfolded.”

“To the years we were all apart.” Mr Styles added.

“To love, happiness, friends and family.” Mr Payne continued.

“To us!” Mr Miles finished.

“To us!” Everyone else repeated, and with that, we clinked our glasses together, as we cheered in glee and took a sip from our glasses.

“What is this? Pepsi?” I questioned, looking at my drink confused.

“Of course. What else would it be?” Destiny shrugged.

“Uhm, wine?” Louis says, crinkling his eyebrows.

“You kids are all under-aged.” Mrs Malik stated.

“But …” Zayn started, but was immediately shut down once his eyes met with his mother’s, who shot him the deadliest look as if to say ‘Shut up!’.

Laughing and talking away, we shared stories and smiles as we all indulged in our food, eating more than we would’ve thought possible. The table was layered with trays of the most delicious food and drinks. These delicacies were capable of making one’s mouth water. Starting with a whole roast deer with sprigs of rosemary threaded through its antlers and stuffed with bacon and rye bread, and marinated Glenloth chicken. To a grilled trout with lemon, smoke sausages and a pineapple glazed ham, mounds of fragrant wild rice and potatoes and diced pumpkin smeared with butter and spiced baked on hot stones. Not forgetting the many kinds of cheese that went with baskets of crackers and bread rolls shapes like seashells, and all sorts of varieties of salads and side dishes.

“Can we go open our presents now?” I whispered into Destiny’s ear.

“No, Harry. We have to wait until midnight. It’s tradition remember. The parents will kill us if we do otherwise.” She replies, hushing me.

“Fine.” I whimpered, pouting.

“Oh hush, Harry. Eat your food.” She giggles, as I slipped my hand underneath the table to gently squeeze her thigh. Immediately, she shot me a dirty look, and she slipped my hand in her own.

*Destiny’s POV*

Chuckling, Harry shook his head, looking down. I smiled at his reaction, he looked absolutely adorable. Squeezing his hand, I leant in and planted a light kiss on his lips.

*Harry’s POV*

“So, Harry, how are your studies going?” Mr Baker asks, clearing his throat.

“Uh … good, I guess,” I say, stuttering.

“So this ‘Uh, good, I guess’ is how you’re going to become a doctor and live a luxurious life with Destiny,” He questioned me, raising an eyebrow.

“What?” I asked, terrified. Destiny’s father was usually a super chill man, but once it came to Destiny, he would become the scariest human on Earth.

“Oh, David! Leave the poor boy, alone. He is doing nothing wrong,” Mrs Baker laughed, trying to get her husband off my back.

“It’s not like, Destiny would even let Harry do anything wrong,” Liam smiled.

“See,” Mrs Baker says.

“Well, I still got my eyes on you boy. The only reason I haven’t already killed you is that your father and I are besties. And he could easily kill me …” Mr Baker says, glaring at me.

“Besties? Where’d you get that from, David?” Dad questions him, with a smirk, and chuckle.

“Besties. Me and you.” Mr Baker declared, shooting Dad a big smile with his teeth, causing everyone to burst into laughter.

“Alright, whatever you say.” Dad laughs, shaking his head.

After finishing our huge meal, Greg rose to his feet and pulled out a joke, “What do you call a chicken that crossed the road, rolling in mud and crossed back over?”

“We don’t know, Greg. What do you call this chicken?” Gemma asks, on behalf of everyone.

“A dirty double crosser!” He finished, proudly.

“Jeez, Greg.” Doniya laughed, along with everyone else.

Everyone departed from the table, the little kids rushing to the blankets in front of the fireplace, followed by the parents who gathered on the couches. Our older sibling left for the beach just out of the Hall.

“Why don’t we go for a walk?” Ally suggested. Agreeing, us, friends, dawdled down to the boardwalk.

The ground was covered with a blanket of crystal white snow. The bright lanterns cast shadows behind us, as we trudge through the fresh snow. The narrow road was deserted of cars, except for a few tight-knit couples holding hands making their way to the Christmas Parade at the boardwalk.

I looked over at Destiny, smiling as I watch her red dress flowing with the breeze behind her.

Despite having to see her over a million times, always watching her beautiful and adorable self, tonight she looked like an angel sent directly from heaven and into my arms.

Starting to notice that she was shivering, I take off my coat and wrap it around her body, “Here, take it, you’re going to catch a cold.”

“No, Harry. It’s alright. I'm all right, I swear.” Destiny says, trying to stop me.

“Well, too bad. It’s already on you. And I’m not prepared to take it back now,” I smirked.

“Thank you.” She giggled, shaking her head.

Talking and laughing about the things we did in Florida, we took several photographs of each other, collecting memories from our very first, great Christmas together.

*Destiny’s POV*

It was nearly midnight, once we had got back to the Hall, where everyone was gathered around the couch area, next to the Christmas Tree.

“How about we open some presents now!” Alvin, Ally’s younger brother, whined.

“Yeah! Let’s open some presents!” Andrew demanded.

“It's like they are calling to us,” George says, staring at the presents deeply.

“We have to wait another ten minutes.” Mrs Payne demanded.

“Oh please. Who’s got the patience for that?” Mr Maxwell whined.

“Yeah, I kind of just want to open them now.” Mrs Miles says.

“No, we can’t! It’s tradition!” Mrs Malik declared

“How about we take a vote on it?” Gemma suggested.

“Perfect.” Mr Bush nodded.

“Alright, all for opening presents now, raise your hand,” Gemma says, immediately more than half us threw up our hands.

“Well, I guess that settles it.” Greg laughs.

“Either way, it's practically midnight.” I point out.

“Alright then, let’s go open some presents!” Mrs Cox laughs, with a nod, as all of the children and fathers let out a roar of cheers.

Immediately everyone rushed to retrieve their presents, desperately searching for each of their names, they grabbed at their boxes. Slowly and carefully, everyone unwrapped their gifts, revealing smiles spreading across their faces. One could hear cheers and scream in joy over their gifts. ‘This day couldn’t have gone better,’ I thought.

The room filled with more happiness and laughter, as the tree shined brightly over our heads. The fire continued to burn brightly, as we continued opening our presents and thanking each other for the amazing gifts.

Not having all the money in the world, I only choose the closest people to me from the large group of ten families.

To Mabel, I gave a cute little pink dress, she had been drooling over since she discovered it in the mall. June a makeup kit, she had been desperately wanting since her own was becoming old and crappy. To Ally, I gave her a penny board she had been taking about since summer. Finally, Elizabeth a box of chocolates and a new phone case, because she has been complaining about hers for the longest time.

Object 15 (Presents for Girls):

Not knowing want to give Louis, I ended up giving him 10 dollars, and to Liam, I bought him a Starbucks gift card, because of his obsession of the café. For Zayn a cute little black wallet, because his was old and torn apart and Niall, 6 cans of Arizona, because of his passion for the drink. Finally, for Harry, I bought him a Michael Kors watch, in a red-velvet watch case.

Object 16 (Presents for Guys):

For my Mum, I bought her a jewellery set, and I got Dad an adult-sized onesie, he always laughs at when we go to the mall.

Having become pretty close to Harry’s family, I got Gemma a set of fancy Tumblr rings, since she’s been talking about trying to get into the trend of wearing multiple rings on her fingers. For Harry’s Mum, a cute red sweater and his Dad a mug that read: “COFFEE. Because crack is bad for you.”

Object 17 (Presents for Family):

As for my own presents. I received a baby blue Diary from June. A locket from Mabel, which contained a group photo of all of us, and another side which was empty, which I’m going to fill with a family photo. From Ally, I got a box of my favourite chocolates, Ferrero Rocher and a cute little card. Elizabeth gave me a photo album, with the cover photo being a picture of myself and the first photo inside a group photo of all us, friends.

From the boys, I got a bookworm phone case from Louis and a framed group photo of us friends from Zayn. A cute little sweater from Liam. Finally, Niall got me a gift card to Nando’s.

Object 18 (Presents from Friends):

Momma got me a new makeup set, while Dad got me my own Laptop because the three of us using one laptop was getting tedious.

Gemma got me a beautiful bracelet, while Harry’s Mum and Dad got me a long summer dress.

Object 19 (Presents from Family):

The only present I hadn’t found was mine from Harry.

“Oh, Destiny. My present for you isn’t with the others.” Harry informs me. “Come with me.”

“Uhm, alright.” I shrugged, following him to the kitchen where he had demanded that I close my eyes. Moments after covering my eyes I felt something soft brush up against my skin.

“Open up!” Harry exclaimed. Opening my eyes, I was met by a Giant stuffed Bear.

“Oh my gosh! It’s adorable!” I exclaimed in glee, jumping on the bear and hugging it tightly, “I love it!” My face sunk into the bear’s stomach. “I love you, so much!” I cried in glee, again, struggling to get up. Harry pulled me up and held me a tight hug. I planted a big kiss on his lips, in the enjoyment of the moment. The photographer that Mr Maxwell managed to hire had shot us in the excitement of the moment.

“I love you too, baby.” Harry chuckled, hugging me back tightly, cleverly making sure we were out of sight from my Father, who would have probably been sending dirty looks toward Harry.

We returned to the group, where Harry refused to meet eyes with Dad, and I showed off the giant bear to the girls. After the lengthy exchange of the presents, while everyone was talking and chatting away, Harry held my hand, and whispered to me, “Let’s get out of here.”

“Let’s,” I nodded, with a big smile plastered on my face. Taking my hand in his gently, he leads me to the balcony.

“It’s so lovely here,” I smiled, looking around at the yellow lights decorated around the balcony.

“Thank you,” Harry smiled at me.

“You decorated this place?” I asked, astonished.

“Yeah. Surprised?” Harry teased me.

“Uhm, yeah! It looks so amazing,”

“Rude.” Harry pouted, jokingly.

“I’m sorry, baby.” I pouted, cupping his cheeks. As Harry placed his hands on my waist, I leant in to plant a kiss on his lips.

“Mhmm … you are such a good kisser. Just imagine what you can do in bed.” Harry moaned, resting his head on my shoulder.

“Harry!” I exclaimed giggling, lightly smacking his head. “You won’t live to find out if you keep doing that.

“Wait. Wait. That’s means I will get to know the feeling. Right?!” Harry anxiously asked.

“Yes.” I laughed, shaking my head.

“Yes!” Harry cheered, wrapping his arms around me tight, lifting me off the ground as he hugged me tightly. Leaning against the barricade, Harry and me gazed into the night sky, as we talked about life in general.

We walked, about life for a while, as we looked up to the brightly lit moon.

“Destiny? Can I tell you something?” Harry shyly says, looking down from the balcony.

“Of course, Harry. What’s up.” I say, turning around to face him, as he did the same. Taking my hands in his, he seemed to be examining them for what appeared to be for a solid minute. “Harry? Is everything okay?” I asked, starting to get worried.

“Of course. Of course, everything is okay. Actually, it's better than okay. I just wanted to let you know that, I know I’m not that typical guy you probably dream of. I mean I get into a lot of trouble and sleep around a lot. I just wanted to tell you, how much you mean to me,” Harry says, looking deep into my eyes. “Being with you, gosh, it changed everything. At first, it was only me. Everything I did was for myself, and the boys. But now? Now I have you. A responsibility. A reason to live. My reason to stay.”

“Harry …” I trail off, as a tear formed in my eyes, I continued to listen.

“No, please just listen to me. I love you Destiny Baker.” Harry says, “I would probably drop everything for you. Anything. I love you so much. You're driving me mad, love. When you’re in my arms? U get some weird, but perfectly amazing feeling. Sometimes it just doses not seem real, we are a living dream. A new reality that is just so gosh. You are unbelievable, perfect, beautiful, and my everything. I love you so much.”

The snow continued to fall gently around us, slowly accumulating on top of our heads, tears filling my eyes.

‘I love you, too.’ I though, unable to let the words come out of my mouth, ‘I love you with such a burning passion. I would give you my life. I never want to let you go. Ever.’

“Destiny. Oh my gosh!” Harry exclaimed, pulling me into a tight hug, “Don’t cry, Love. Please don’t cry.” Trying to fight back the tears, I let him hold me close to him, “Can I have a dance?” Harry sincerely asked, stepping back as he held out his hand.

“Dance? Without any music?” I questioned him, wiping away my tears, carefully not to ruin my makeup.

“Yeah, why not?” Harry smiled.

“Of course, you can.” I smiled, with a light chuckle, as I allowed him my hand.

So, we continue to dance and spin. The lights were twinkling with every step as Harry turned me around in delicate circles, my red dress billowing out. It was so amazing, the pressure of a warm hand on my back and the feel of my small, agile feet gliding along the floor. It felt like being a little bird learning how to fly. Flailing around and finally taking off with outstretched wings and wind-swept feathers. The imaginary music in our heads spun around us lifting away gravity. I couldn’t count how may time I had squished Harry’s foot under my own, but still, he smiled brightly as our heels clicked on the wooden floor. He watches as my hair spun out and bounced more with each move and beat. It was perfect. The high pointed moves aren't mattered here, only the person in front of you.
