Moving To England

Chapter Fifty-One

*Destiny’s POV*

*Two days before Christmas*

“What shall we do today?” Niall asked as we ate our breakfast, in McDonald's.

“Sleep.” I yawn, leaning on Harry’s shoulder.

“Good idea.” Liam nods, winking at Ally.

“Sleep. Not sex. Y’all are so dirty.” I scolded at Liam., making everyone laugh.

“We can sleep at home,” Elizabeth says.

“How about that haunted house?” Zayn suggests.

“NO!” All of us girls exclaim in unison, making the boys laugh.

“No haunted house. That place sounds so freaky!” Mabel exclaimed, cuddling into Zayn’s chest.

“Yeah … I don’t want to go.” June whined.

“Then we will go. You girls can stay, being bored. You girls are just scaredy cats. ” Louis says, sticking his tongue out at Elizabeth.

“Louis,” Elizabeth growled at him.

“We are not scaredy cats.” Ally snarled at Louis.

“Prove it,” Liam smirked, crossing his arms.

“Grr. Fine. We are going!” Ally declares.

“What! No! No! You. Are going.” I blurt out, waving my arms.

“Are you scared?” Harry smirks.

“Yes. Problem?” I smirk right back at him, getting up.

“If you don’t go with us, you must give me what I want,” Harry smirked.

“Fine.” I smiled, kissing his lips.

“Really?” He looks up at me, through innocent eyes.

“Nope,” I smirked, quickly retreating from the table we were out.

*Harry’s POV*

“So close.” I groaned, banging my hands on the table. With a loud sigh, I say, “We are going. Get ready.” With that, I got up with a smirk and ran after Destiny.

Destiny was bolting out of the store, trying to escape me. Unfortunately for Destiny, I was quicker.

I was about to catch her before she exited the store and an elderly woman was moving about in front of me, slowing me down.

Once I finally got outside, I saw Destiny running across the parking lot. My eyes darted to the car that rushing toward Destiny’s direction.

“Destiny!” I screamed out her name in fear. She turned around in the middle of the road, while the car was a mere meter away from where she was standing.

I ran like death was chasing me. I grabbed hold of Destiny and pulled both of us off the road moments before the car passed right by our faces.

*Destiny’s POV*

My body was motionless, as Harry held on to me tightly. My mind seemed to shut down, the colour leaving from my mouth, mouth slightly opened and I stared ahead wide-eyed at nothing.

Soon my breath came back to me, the shock melted away, everything returned back to me, as I cuddled into Harry’s arms.

“Are you okay?” Harry frantically asks me, turning me to face him as he cupped my cheeks with his hands.

“Yeah.” I nod, with a raspy and barely audible voice.

“Good. Let’s go to that house now. Yeah?” Harry smiles.

“Harry …” I whined.

“Let’s go! If you can survive that I’m pretty sure you can handle some old house.” Harry brushed my worries off.

“Ready?” Liam calls to us.

“Yup!” Harry shouts back to him, giving him a thumbs-up.

*Harry’s POV*

We all decided to go in the evening, so to pass the time we went to the theatres and watched a movie. At about five o’ clock in the afternoon, Zayn drove us to the address the elderly couple at given us on the aeroplane.

We reached the store parking lots closest to the house.

“Why are we here?” Elizabeth asked.

“We are walking the rest of the way. I ain't paying more for this thing if it gets damaged there.” Zayn warned Elizabeth as we began walking.

“Ugh. I hate walking.” Elizabeth whined.

“Suck it up.” Liam laughed as she continued to groan. We chatted away until we came up to the creepy looking house that matched the address given to us.

“I guess this is it,” Niall says, in a weary voice.

“Yeah …” I nod trailing off.

The sidewalk was chipped and fractured. It seemed to shake whenever the chilling breeze would pass by. I held Destiny close to me, as we held on to one another. Luckily Louis forced as all to wear a sweater today, blocking off most of the coldness.

There were barely any houses that bordered the street. There was only this one, which was the size of a mansion, torn apart and seemed to be abandoned. There was dark red graffiti sprayed on the walls. All the windows were shattered, the walls on the outside, bent and broken.

Dimmed streets lights, scattered along the roads, all rust and old. The lights gave off an eerie, unnatural look. They flickered at the slightest hint of movement, barely managing to keep themselves alive.

We noticed strange shadows and distant voices echoing off in the distance, sending chills down our spines. In the distance we all heard an ear piercing scream, making all jump.

“Alright. That’s enough. Let’s go back.” Mabel cried, jumping in Zayn’s arms.

“We haven’t even gone inside.” Niall pointed out, shaking a bit.

“Exactly!” Ally cried.

“Come on. How bad could it get? There is ten of us. There is no such thing as ghosts. It's just stories.” Destiny tries reasoning.

“Destiny are you crazy?” Mabel exclaimed.

“Shut up! I’m trying to calm myself down.” Destiny cried.

“Alright. Alright. Let’s go in. And we will be out. We came this far. Might as well get over with it.” Louis announces, calming everyone down. We nodded, walking up the broken, unnerving pathway to the house.

“What if it isn’t even open?” Ally questioned everyone.

“Shh.” Louis hushed everyone, crouching down, he used two paper clips to unlock the lock on the door, getting us in the house. Entering the house, the cold wind howled through the dark corridor, as we all breathed slowly.

“What’s that horrible stench?” Liam said in disgust, as we all noticed the musty smell that had a strange taste or iron.

“I have no clue. Whatever it is, it has to be removed.” Destiny whined, covering her nose.

“This place is so dark.” Zayn points out, searching for light switches.

“They won’t turn on. The electricity in this house must be dead.” Louis answers him.

We could feel the cold air whipping against our skin, the taste of bitter air overwhelming our noses. While the smell of the old walls seeped around us, the darkness looked ominous. We heard eerie howls in the distant.

“Why do I hear wolves,” Mabel whined.

“No clue,” Louis answered.

“Let’s check out the upstairs?” Liam suggested.

“But we haven’t looked around the bottom floor,” I say.

“True.” Liam nodded.

“First, we find the light,” Niall suggested. We found three torches on the wall, lighting them with a match, I had found in my pockets.

“Now we have light.” Destiny nodded. We ventured around the living room, just to discover unexplained footsteps scurrying around the entire living room.

“What was that??” June cried, grabbed onto Niall’s arm tightly.

“Footsteps. Someone is here.” Zayn whispered. Knocks, banging, rapping and scratching sounds came from all directions, with each sound becoming louder and scarier.

“Where are they coming from?” Louis cried.

“Maybe we should just leave,” Mabel suggested.

“Good idea.” I nodded. We all made a start for the front door which was wide open. Rushing to escape the house, we made it to the front door, but just as we were about to exit the door shut right in front of our faces. Several knives were thrown at our heads, barely missing by a mere inch.

“Ah!” Destiny cried, clutching on to her ear.

“Destiny!” I cried, grabbing on to her. I removed her hand from her ear, the knife has sliced a bit of the top part of her ear. Blood faintly dropped out of her ear.

“It hurts so much.” Destiny cried in pain. I frantically ripped a piece of my shirt and wrapped it around Destiny’s head, making sure the bleeding ear was fully covered.

“That should block the bleeding until we can get the hell out of here and take you to the hospital,” I assured her, hugging her gently.

“How are we supposed to get out?” Zayn exclaimed, in fear.

“No clue …” Louis trailed off, his eyes trained on something in the distant.

“Louis, what are you looking at?” Elizabeth asks him, resting her hand on his shoulder. Louis points at the direction he was staring off to.

“It's a rocky chair,” Ally says, confused. “There are more important things then rocky chairs.”

“Look it's rocking by itself,” Louis explains, his eyes still focused on the rocking chair.

“It looks like someone is sitting on it,” Destiny says, as we all strain to see what Destiny and Louis were seeing.

Soon a person slowly fades into appearance as we all slowly begin to see someone rocking the rocking chair. Old women.

“That must be Mizzabel,” June whispers to us.

“Come forward!” The old woman orders us, in a loud, harsh voice. No one moves, we stood there frozen, speechless, as if all of our sense vanished from our minds.

“Come forward to me!” The old women screamed louder. Again no movement from any of us.

“Come!” The old women demanded in an eerie voice. Suddenly a strange, strong force pulled as towards her. We all screamed in terror clutching on it each other's hands as we were pulled towards the old women.

In seconds, we were standing in front of an old, frail women. She was extremely wrinkly and looked fragile, as she rocked in her rocking chair, her frizzy, split-ended grey hair covering her face.

“Why have you come to my house?” The old women questioned us, no one answered. “WHY?” she asked again, after moments of silence.

“We … we got lost. We are new to the neighbourhood.” I lied, stuttering. Destiny has me a quick death look for lying.

“Lies!” She spat at us. “Tell me the truth!”

“That, that is the truth …” Liam stuttered.

“No, it's not!” She screamed, so loudly I thought that we would’ve all gone deaf before we were killed by this crazy lady.

“Yes..” Niall tried as well.

“Do you know what I do to children who lie to me?” The old lady says, getting up, her face still covered. She walked over to a table which we had not noticed before. Several dangerous knives were set up on the table.

“Oh God.” I heard June say, in a hushed terrified voice as her eyes laid upon the knives, each covered with dark red blood. The scariest part of that was the blood still looked fresh.

“I cut off their tongues.” The old women say, sliding the bloody knife along her tongue. We could hear the smirking in her voice.

“Now tell me the truth!” She demanded, banging the desk extremely loudly.

“We wanted to know if all the ghost stories were true, so we came here well we were still in the country.” Destiny quickly spat out, jumping at the loudly bang on the desk.

“Destiny!” We all sneered at her, the look of astonishment plastered on her face.

Destiny didn’t move, she was paralysed in fear. I rubbed her back and held her close to me. The old women had stopped in her tracks, her back facing towards us. Turning around she stood to face towards us for a couple of moments, before she extended her arm, forming her hands as if she were to choke someone.

*Destiny’s POV*

I stared in fear at the elderly women, watching her stand in front of me, her arm extends towards me. Her hand formed as if she were choking someone. Soon after, I felt an ice cold hand gripped around my neck.

My eyes widened, terrified as the gripped became tighter and close. I struggled to catch my breath. I fought back instinctively, frightened about what was on the other side. My hands scratched at the invisible hand around my neck.

The grip of the old lady was unyielding. As my lungs began to burn from lack of air, I was raised into the air by the tight grip around my neck.

“Such an innocent girl. So terrified. Dragged into the death house by her friends.” The old woman smirked, keeping a tight grip around my neck and keeping me in the air. I desperately fought to be released.

“Let her go!” I heard Harry, and the others scream at her. Harry tried to run up to my aid but was pushed backwards by an invisible force coming from the old women. Harry was thrust back, causing him to fly backwards crashing into the wall.

“Harry!” I struggled to choke out. June and Mabel ran to his side, helping him up.

“So innocent … and a virgin? How?” The old women laughed. I cried, struggling to break free, seeing Harry’s forehead bleeding. Luckily, June had bandages in her backpack, giving one to Harry.

“The first child who has told me the truth. I won’t kill you, sweetheart. But you … and your dirty friends will get a piece of my house. I like you girl.” The old women, Mizzable Scratch. She released me, dropping me from a great height before she disappeared letting out a shrill laughter.

I let out a loud cry as I crashed to the ground.

“Destiny!” Ally and Elizabeth rushed to my side, while Zayn, Niall, Liam and Louis searched for a way to get out of this death hole.

“Come on get up.” Elizabeth shakes trying to help me up.

“Argh.” I cried, getting to my feet, I had twisted my ankle. Elizabeth helped me sit down.

“Are you okay?” Harry frantically asked, coming to my side hugging me tightly.

“Yeah … the dead even know I’m virgin … that’s bad.” I say, slyly. All my friends giggled at my comment. “Stop laughing at me! It’s not fair.”

“Then change the fact.” Harry nudged me.

I glared at him. “Trying so hard to be nice. Too many bullies around me. Hmph!”

“Bullies?” Liam laughed.

“Oh come on, Destiny. We all know you want to have sex with Harry.” Niall smirked. “June and I heard you call him sexy the other night.”

“What! I can’t call my boyfriend sexy!” I exclaimed.

“Not when you haven’t seen anything,” Niall says.

“Who said I haven’t seen anything?” I smirked.

“What?” Harry questioned me.

“Remember that night you were drunk. The night you and the boys went out to … where?” I smirked, raising an eyebrow. Harry quickly cupped my mouth, realising what I was talking about. The boy's eyes widened.

“You told her?” Zayn questioned Harry.

“Drunk me told her.” Harry defended himself.

“Yeah. Now normal you will be explaining.” Elizabeth says to Louis, raising her eyebrows and crossing her arms.

“What …?” Louis stuttered. “Destiny.” Louis greeted his teeth.

“Niall started it.” I laughed it off. June was going to say something, but she was interrupted by flickering lights and thumping noises from upstairs.

“How could we forget? We are still in the death house.” Zayn face-palmed himself.

“We need to get out of here.” Harry started.

“This isn’t over.” June gave Niall a death glare.

“Destiny …” Harry gave me puppy-dog eyes.

“I love you too.” I laughed, placing my hand on his cheek gently, planting a light kiss on his lips. “Let’s get out of here.”
