The Boy with the Butterfly Tatoo
You Game?
HARRY'S POV
She steps into the living room and I smile immediately. She looks absolutely wonderful. Perfectly dressed for what we're doing tonight.
I step toward her and smile, saying, "You look gorgeous, love."
She blushes and looks at her shoes, mumbling, "Thanks."
I chuckle and lift her chin up. "Ready?" She nods and, taking her hand, I lead her past the other three girls and toward the door.
"We're gonna wait up for you here, okay, Jovy?" El says as we pass.
"Sure guys. Just don't make a mess," Jovy replies, smiling.
El squeaks, "Have fun!" then kisses Jovy on the cheek and runs into the kitchen with the other girls.
I lead Jovy out the door to my car and open the door for her with a mock bow. She laughs and after a playful curtsy climbs into my car. I run around to the other side and hop in and start the engine.
"Where are we going?" Jovy asks, eyes shining.
I smirk at her. "You'll find out soon enough. Not a very patient one are you?"
She shakes her head and looks out the window as we pass by some old buildings.
"Can you give me a hint?" She says quietly, not looking away from the window.
"Nope!" I say. She sticks out her tongue causing me to laugh. "Relax, love. We'll be there soon. Which reminds me. . ." I pull out a blindfold and throw it onto her lap ". . .put this on for me."
She gives me an incredulous stare, but when I say nothing, she rolls her eyes and wraps the cloth around her eyes, concieling her beautiful blue scectales.
"I'm worried you're taking me to a cult or to get murdered," She says, tying the last knot.
I laugh. "No, nothing like that. Just some good ol' fun." She smirks, and I can tell she's rolling her eyes under the blindfold.
"We're here, love," I say stopping the car and puting it in park. "Hang tight. I'll come around and get you." She nods and I quickly hop out of my car and run around to her side. I open the door and reach down to her, grabbing hold of her hand. When our skin touches, theres a small shock between them and Jovy jumps, then starts to giggle.
"You shocked me!" she laughs, baring her pearly white teeth and a smile to melt even the most frozen hearts.
I laugh too and tighten my grip on her hand. "Sorry. Here, step out of the car. Don't worry, I've got you."
She begins to slowly slide out of the passenger seat. When her feet hit the ground she stands up, bumping her head a little on the top of the car.
"I'm so sorry!" I say, lightly rubbing her head where it got hit.
She laughs. "It's alright, Harry. It'll just be a bump. It's fine," She says, squeezing my hand.
I lightly kiss the alrready forming bump and say, "Better?"
She blushes and nods a little. I smile and begin to pull her toward the place where we'll have our date. I'm particularly excited about this because it seems like great fun, and I haven't done this kind of stuff since before X factor. Just straight having fun and being childlike.
I hold open the door for us, sliding an arm around Jovy's waist. She tenses a bit but doesn't move away, so I gently pull her inside. The sounds of lasars and clicking of buttons fill the air. Music plays in the background.
"Where are we?" Jovy asks.
"Neverland," I joke smiling as she shakes her head. "Here, let me take off your blindfold." I stand behind her and untie the cloth, peeling it from her eyes. She blinks a few times, squinting, then her jaw drops and she starts to giggle.
"An arcade?!" She shouts, jumping up and down like a child. "Harry this is wonderful! Thank you so much!"
I laugh as she bear hugs me. I wrap my arms around her and hug her tight. She smells like strawberries and flowery perfume.
She pulls back and looks back at the games. She starts to go run to them, but looks back at me questioningly. I laugh at her reaction and nod my head, pointing at the games. "Go ahead!"
She smiles wildly and runs to the games. There are no other people here because I requested we have this place to ourselves tonight, free from crazy fans and paparazzi. I walk down one isle of games and don't see Jovy. A look of puzzlement overcomes my face as I turn the corner of the next isle, but then I see her, Bent backward a little, wildly clickingbuttons on a game, her tongue sticking out a bit. I get closer and see she's playing Galaga.
"This is a classic," I say, smiling as she finishes a level.
She smiles a bit, looking a little somber, but replies, "Yeah, my dad loved this game. We had one in our condo downtown. My brother and I got really really good at it."
"Where did you live?" I ask, watching as she totally aNIALLates the spaceships with her lasers.
"Austin, Texas," She answered, only half paying attention. "My dad worked for the govorner so we lived downtown. My mom homeschooled my brother and I. We didn't have too many friends growing up. Just each other and a couple of the other kids in the building."
"That must have been lonely," I say, moving a little closer to her.
She lost the game and turned around to face me. Her eyes were a little tearful, but she smiled anyway. "Not really. I had my brother and my parents, so it was okay," she says quietly, more to herself than to me.
I wrap her in a light hug. She sighs and hugs back for a moment, then pulls away and says, "Want to play me in batteship?" She points to a game with two stations facing each other and smiles.
"Bring it," I say and we race each other over to the game.
We giggle and laugh and run and spaz out all over the arcade games, stopping only for pizza. We must have played every game in the building when the manager comes over and says, "Sorry Mr. Styles, but the arcade is closing now. It's 9:30."
"Alright. Thank you so much for doing this for me," I say, shaking his hand and taking hold of Jovy's.
"No problem. Have a nice night!" He calls as we leave.
"You, too!" Jovy calls back with a grin.
"Now what, Styles?" Jovy asks with a smirk, climbing into my car.
"You'll see," I say, and start driving toward our next destination, smiling widely at the amazing girl in my passenger seat.
