Preface

Rotation

Around in circles we go
Spiraling out of control
We move at a quicker pace in the night
And stand still in broad daylight

You are the axis
I am the rotation
My world revolves around you in slow motion

Stop me with time
Freeze my mind
Confuse me with all your rhymes
But don't stop moving
Keep it going
Keep us going with the rotation

Our love is like a kaleidoscope of memories with your world moving too fast and mine burning too bright. Never once did I not feel alive when I was with you or show anything but affection towards you. Yes, we fought, and I made you cry. But I told you 'I love you' and you said goodbye. We both hurt each other but, even through all the pain, I know our feelings haven't changed. Let's not play anymore games. I'll wait for you—all night if I have to under the willow tree, so please come and join me.

Notes

This is chapter contains an Original Poem called Rotation written by kkgal14 ©2015

And the first line in italics was inspired by the monologue in "I Knew You Were Trouble."

I promise that if you don't understand the significance of this being the prologue, you will as the story progresses so stay tuned. It's basically an allusion to Violet's and Harry's relationship.

That's wonderful. Picture Perfect was so well written and planned. I adored every chapter you posted with that - alas I didn't comment because I didn't have an account back then but it was so wonderful I kept coming back whenever my friend said you had updated to read it x

It means a lot to hear you say that. I try my best to make my characters relatable to my readers. I'm actually super excited for this story to take off. I've done a lot more planning for Ink in comparison to Picture Perfect, so updates should be faster now.

even though it's been forever i'm so glad you updated! i absolutely adore violet and they way you've created and presented her. i feel like i can connect with her on so many levels as a reader; it's astonishing.
