Louis' POV

I hear my phone go off but it's in my coat pocket and I can't be bothered to move. I'm to engrossed in watching Bella as she starts to get dressed. She turns to face me and smiles shyly.

"You need to get up." She says as she walks towards me, she throws my shirt on the bed. I quickly lean up and grab her, pulling her back on top of me.

"Can't I just stay here with you?" I ask and Bella looks away as she smiles again. I can see a slight shade of pink forming on her cheeks.

"If only" She sighs and gets back up. I smile as this is probably the happiest I have been in a long time, Bella really keeps me on my toes.

"What are you doing tonight?" I ask as I eventually crawl out of her bed and I begin to gather my clothes and start to get dressed.

"I've got to go to my Grandparent's as it's my Gran's birthday." She answers as she brushes her hair. "I'll be back about about eight." She adds.

"Okay, well I'll pop round Harry's when he finishes work and then maybe come back and see you?" I suggest and she nods.

"I think we should tell Harry about us, I mean it's only fair as he's our best friend." Bella says as she walks up to me, pulling me into her. I rest my hands on her hips and look down into her eyes.

"Maybe you're right, but I like having a little secret with you. It makes it more exciting." I smirk, I have no problem with Harry knowing, it's just I love how close Bella and I have got. I worry if we start letting people know, it could change

"I know, but have a think about it." She says as she kisses me. I let go of her and take my coat, I don't want to leave. "Do you want something to eat before you go?" She asks as we make our way downstairs.

"I think I'll head off, as much as I don't want too but I got a few things to do." I answer as we make our way to the door. "I'll see you tonight?" I ask and she nods. "Maybe stay at mine? I can do you a valentines breakfast" I wink and she laughs as she touches my arm.

"Sounds good, I'll see you later." She says and I lean down and kiss her. I know if I don't leave now I never will. "Bye." She smiles as we part, I wink to her as I step outside and I unlock my car. She closes the door behind me and I climb inside.

Before I start the engine up, I remember my phone went off. My heart nearly stops as I see Emily's name on the screen. She's text me.
I open the text and read it twice, why is she saying all of this? I can't fall back into that trap. So I try and reply in a subtle way.



Hi, I'm not sure what to say
But I appreciate you saying that.
I hope you're well and moved on

I delete the kiss but then type it again. Before I end up arguing with myself, I just press send. I put my phone on the passenger's seat as I start to pull away from Bella's.
I only live round the corner so I don't take five minutes to get back. Once I park outside, my phone goes again. I feel a slight achy pain in my stomach as I read her reply,



I'm better than ever, being here
is the best decision I have made.
Hope things are good with you.
I hope you didn't mind me texting
you.

So she sounds pretty genuine and I know I should leave the text there, but this is Emily. The girl I was once crazy about and now she's sorted herself out, I can't help but reply.



Good to hear Emily, I'm happy
for you. All is good with me
thanks. And no, it's fine.

I sigh and close my eyes. I don't want to be horrible as she's trying to make peace. Maybe being civilised with her could be a good thing. I just can't get my head messed up like before. I quickly get a reply.

She's cut me off just like that. Was that all she wanted to make amends and clear things up? Why do I always have to be delicate with her, I'm so vulnerable it's annoying.
I lock the car and head towards the flats. I left Bella's feeling so positive and now I'm slightly distracted. I'm not stupid enough to mess Bella around, I could never hurt her. But if she knew about Emily and I texting, I don't think she'd take it too kindly. Maybe I'll delete the texts and just forget about it.
As I look back at her texts ready to delete them, I debate whether to send one more. Should I wish her all the best? Should I tell her take care?

"Hey, you're not working today?" Tom asks as he looks at me. I look up from my phone.

"No I'm off today." I answer and he nods whilst biting his lip. "Why?" I ask and he rolls his eyes.

"I've got Amber coming over, a girl I'm kind of seeing. I was going to cook as Ben is away all weekend." He says and looks away embarrassed.

"Well I'm going out so I won't be home until later. What time is she over?" I ask as I try not to embarrass him any further. Tom's so shy when it comes to girls, I'm actually quite surprised he's doing this.

"Around sevenish" Tom answers and I nod.

"Okay, I'll come back about half nine" I grin and I nudge him as I walk into the kitchen, he follows and thanks me. "So why tonight and not tomorrow?" I ask as I start to find something to snack on.

"I'm working tomorrow night." He sighs and I nod. "I can't even cook." He adds with a hint of laughter in his voice.

"Well it's the thought that counts." I say and he agrees. "Just drop me a text if the flat burns down, I'll be at Harry's." I tease as I leave the kitchen. I can picture the smirk on Tom's face as he remains in the kitchen.

I head straight back out, Harry doesn't finish work yet so maybe I'll swing by work and see what's going on. Today is a day where I just don't know what to do with myself.

Emily's POV

"Come on Emily." Isla grins happily as we head towards Pizza Express. Mum and Andrew walk hand in hand as I'm dragged by my sister.

"Steady on." I laugh as we nearly trip over each other, Isla reaches forward and opens the door. I help her hold it open as she steps inside, I let Mum and Andrew pass and then I step inside.

I feel much happier knowing I've apologised and made it clear to Louis that I am aware about what I did to him. I don't expect anything out of it, but I just wanted the air to be cleared.
Isla picks the table we are sit ti ng at I sit next to her so I'm opposite Andrew. He smiles as he hands me a menu and I thank him. I'm not too hungry but I can eat, I just don't know what I fancy.

"So did you enjoy warhorse?" Mum asks as she looks at me. I nod and explain it's better than I thought it would be.

"That's because you seen love in a different way." Isla answers and looks at me, I gently kick her under the table and she giggles.

"Isla mentioned you're having boy troubles." I can't believe my Mum has just said that to me.

"I'm not having boy troubles. I'm not a kid." I roll my eyes as they all smile at me.

"Who's Louis?" Isla asks and I look at her in shock, my stomach twitches just by his name.

"Have you?" I shake my head stopping myself from saying anymore as I try to think how she knows about him. "Have you read my diary?" I frown hoping she's going to say no.

"Technically no." Isla answers and Mum quickly steps in before I can respond. I feel my chest starting to tighten as I feel so stupid.

"Isla, you don't read your sister's diary that's private! Now what do you say to Emily?" Mum says in a harsh tone. Isla slowly looks at me, her big brown eyes full of guilt.

"I didn't intend to read it. I was making your bed because you were juse so sad, I wanted you to have a nice clean bed to help cheer you up. Mum says a clean bed makes a happy head." Isla sighs, "Then something fell on the floor and I went to pick it up and that's when I saw about Louis. But I shut it back up I promise, I didn't read anymore." Isla panics and I turn away from her.

"I need some air." I say standing up.

"Emily, don't go." Mum says and I shake my head as I look at her.

"I need some space okay," I say and I look at Isla. "Thank you for trying to cheer me up, but a clean bed doesn't make a happy head Isla, they say that to make you tidy and change your bed. That's all." I snap and I quickly walk away.

I didn't want to lose it with Isla, she's young and naive so she's not to blame. But all I wanted was to come here and switch off from the whole Louis drama. If they all end up knowing then I'm not going to forget about it. I feel my phone vibrate in my pocket, its most probably Mum wanting to know where I've gone. But to my surprise, I've got two messages, one from Mum, the other one from Louis. I open his text first.



Can I ask, why have you text me now?
It's just out of the blue.
Louis X



I know my text has complicated things a little bit as we both were moving on, but I just can't get him out of my head. I've lost him as a lover but do I need to lose him completely? I know he's moved on, I'll accept that eventually. I'm just missing him, so I text the truth back.



I miss you
I'm sorry
I just needed to say it.
I shouldn't have text you.

I have no idea how he's going to respond, I don't know what I'll even say back after. That's if he does chose to reply to me. Turns out he's quick at texting back as my phone flashes again,




This is going to mess with my head,
I'm not sure what to say, things
have changed. You know that,

I write out my reply quickly before he decides to ignore me for good.



I don't mean too, I understand this isn't

I feel stupid, really stupid. What was I thinking? I should never have got so weak and gave in to texting him, I should have remained strong. Now I've screwed up again, he's not happy and I don't blame him. This time I'm the naive one thinking a few words could make everything okay.




I've wanted to check if you're okay,
but everytime I wrote the text, I
deleted It again. So I guess I understand.
It doesn't have to be an issue.

I don't bother replying back to him as I know t he texts have to stop at some point. I respect him for being so nice and understanding, I do not want to push him any further.

Louis' POV

I glance at the clock, it's ten past ten. I've been with Bella for two hours now and I'm counting down to midnight. Tom ended up going out with Amber so it's just us here tonight and I've got something planned.

"What are you doing?" Bella asks as she walks into the kitchen. I turn around and I close the fridge with my leg.

"Nothing. Shall we put a film on?" I ask as I head into the living room.

"It's a bit late, by the time it finishes it will be midnight." Bella answers with a smile. I shrug as I head over to our DVD collection, she stands by my side.

"Seeing as I'm nice, I'll let you pick." I smirk as she scans the films.

"My bloody valentine." Bella laughs as she takes the film and hands it to me. I frown as I look at her choice. "Seeing as valentines day is tomorrow. Why not?" She adds.

"But this is a horror film, valentines day in for romance." I answer and she shrugs as she tries not to laugh.

"Let's be different.." She answers and I laugh as I can't believe I'm about to put this movie on.

"You've selected this so you have an excuse to cuddle into me, I know your game." I scoff as I sit down next to her. She looks at me and rolls her eyes.

"I don't need an excuse. " She says as I put my arm around her securely. "Do you need a pillow?" She asks laughing.

"Yeah, right." I laugh and look away from her toward the screen. I play it cool, but I'm starting to wish that Ben never added his films to our collection.

Bella's POV

"Bella, wake up." I start to stir as Louis keeps nudging me. I open my eyes and slowly sir up as I've fallen asleep towards the end of the film. "Come with me." He says softly.

"What time is it?" I ask as I rub my eyes so I can see clearly. Louis doesn't answer as he takes my hand and guides me to the kitchen. I'm suddenly awak as I feel him hug me from behind, his head rests on my shoulder as I look at what he has done.

"Happy Valentines Day." He whispers and I smile as I look at the candles on the table. There's a bunch of roses, box of chocolates and a bottle of wine which is sat inbetween an over large teddy. "It's midnight, so I'm seeing the whole day through with you." He adds.

"Happy Valentines" I reply as I can't stop smiling. No one has ever put this amount of effort in like Louis. I turn my head and I kiss him. I kiss him with so much love, so much passion.

We part away from each other and I walk towards the table where everything is set up on. I notice rose petals scattered everywhere, this is beautiful and I can't believe he's done this for me.

"I love you Bella." Louis says and I turn around to face him. Those words sound weird coming from his mouth, but they're enough to make me go completely weak.

"I love you too." I can't believe the words have left my mouth, we both smile.

"I'll just go and turn the TV off ." Louis says as he leaves the kitchen. I look back to the table and smile once more.

My phone vibrates in my pocket. I take it and the smile that was stuck on my face has suddenly disappeared, I read the text,
