Once In a Lifetime

*Flashback*

"Louis stop, put me down!" I laugh as he picks me up and throws me over his shoulder.

"Never, you're mine forever!" He retorts seriously, but I can hear the smile in his voice.

"Maybe, but I know one way to make you put me down." I warn him with a huge grin plastered on my face.

"You wouldn't." He stops in his tracks.

I begin tickling him until he cant breath anymore, the cold air fills my lungs as I laugh along with him. Somehow we both end up falling into the snow on the ground.

Louis and I are laughing uncontrollably, I probably would've stopped sooner, but his laugh is infectious.

Suddenly as if he can read my mind he stops. I look over and see him gazing over at me, his beautiful eyes still sparkling as his grin fades to a small and thoughtful smile, just barely noticeable.

"Kara?" He asks.

"Yes Louis?" I say confused.

"I'm so in love with you, did you know that?" He says as if he's in awe of me. But to be honest, I'm in awe of him, he isn't even nervous to tell me he loves me. But I'm quivering with nerves, even though I know he feels the same way.

"I love you too Louis, so much." I say back to him, I can feel the tears pricking my eyes as he reaches over to brush my cheek with his thumb.

"I'm never going to hurt you Kara, please don't be afraid." he tells me softly. And with that he kisses me like he never had before, and the butterflies in my body go wild, just as they always do when I'm with him.

*End of Flashback*

My hands are shaking as I get off of the plane. This is the first time I've been home in four years, since my entire life changed. I can't lie, I'm so nervous to be home. Izzy has been telling me that he isn't home, that he's never home anymore. But I cant help but to worry about seeing him again. He probably hates me now.

Once I'm off the plane, I look around for my mom. I haven't seen her in four years either, not since she shipped me off to live with my dad. I see her across the airport in blue jeans and a black peacoat, she is just as lovely looking as she was before I left. My mom has always been so beautiful. I walk to see her after I get my bags. And my heartbeat quickens as I approach her. I hope she isn't angry with me anymore.

She smiles brightly when she sees me and pulls me in for a huge hug.

"Kara oh my goodness you've grown up so much, you look so beautiful, darling. I've missed you." She says to me sincerely. At least I know she isn't angry anymore.

"I've missed you too mom. It's really nice to be home. Fantastic actually." I sigh a breath of relief.

"And it's nice to have you back for good. We have a lot to do the next few days Kara. I want to take you out to get things to redecorate your old room and we need to get you some more clothes of course." She goes on, but I stop listening. My mind moves back to him, and I wonder where he is right now.
