Kat's POV

"And here we are at Starbucks!" Louis exclaims.

I glance at him sideways and raise an eyebrow.

"What? I promised we would stop here on our way back, so here we are." He smiles and opens his door. "Well don't just sit there come on."

I groan, why must this one boy send one million butterflies into my stomach and he's not even trying. I look at Alex but he only shakes his head and get out of the car. I sigh, getting out of the car as well.

"I'll get you something, just go sit at a booth." Louis says.

"Mm kay. C'mon Alex." I look around before turning back to Lou.

He simply points over my shoulder. Alex was talking to a girl about his age. She was giggling, while he smiled.

"Well, we probably won't see him for a while." I smile at Lou. "I'm going to go get a booth."

He nods and I walk towards the back, choosing a booth in the corner. I sit, leaning my head against the glass of the window. I wonder what would have happened if my dad would have stayed. If I would have been a different person. Suddenly his voice fills my head. "Love bug." again and again the same whisper echoes in my head. I open my eyes and sit up.

"You okay there?" A boy about a year or two older than me, possibly the same age, stares at me in amusement. I nod. "So I saw you from over there. You looked kind of like a lost puppy. Sad, scared... adorable."

He smiles. I could already tell this boy was a player. I also could tell that I wasn't his first prey. He had done this before.

"So, I was wondering if I could get to know you better. You know like, a date?" Of course go all cute, sweet and innocent. I open my mouth to reply but someone else beats me to it.

"Sorry, she's taken."

I glance up at Louis and almost wince at the sight of the cold hard glare he was giving the boy. Louis sets the drinks on the table.

"Oh yeah? And what are you? Her guard dog?" The boy asked, taking a step towards Louis.

"Yeah I am." Louis says getting in the boys face and almost teasingly says, "Woof."

"I suggest you get out of my face before you start something you cant finish." The boy says lowly.

By now we've gathered quite an audience. Even most of the staff has stopped what they were doing to watch.

"L-Louis lets just go." I grab his arm and tug him away from the boy. "I don't like it when you're angry." I whisper. His eyes snap to mine and he shoots the boy one last glare.

I lead him away from the boy almost five steps before the boy speaks up.

"Don't even bother, dude. I've seen her type before. You're not getting laid tonight."

I stop walking. I feel Louis tense. I have to blink back the tears, he cant know how much his words have hurt me. I turn and walk back to the smirking boy. I smile sweetly at him. I grab a smoothie off the table, taking off the lid before turning it upside down over the boy's head.

I turned and walked back to Louis, grabbing his hand and pulling him back out to the car.

"You handled that well." Louis says as we get into the car.

"And you were jealous." I state.

"N-no I wasn't."

"Y-yes you were." I taunt him. "Don't worry, I would have been too. I mean come on, I'm irresistible."

Louis lets out a laugh as he turns the key.

"Not to mention I have a new guard dog." I chuckle.

"Woof!" Louis says. I laugh.

Suddenly Alex comes running out of the building, an older boy running after him. Alex jumps in the car.

"GO! GO! GO!" Alex shouts.

Louis drives out of the parking lot.

"Who was that?" I ask.

"Scary. Big. Brother." Alex breathes out.

Me and Louis glance at each other and smile.

Yawn I was half asleep when I wrote this. So I apologize for anything wrong with this. I'll see you next Sunday were hopefully the next chapter will be less of a filler
