I Knew You Would
Chapter 22
Annie's POV
As soon as Harry walks through the front door, I'm up in his face.
"What the hell Harry?" I say. "Why the hell would you keep this from me?"
"Annie-"
I hold the picture of the baby in front of his face. "Were you just going to never tell me about this? I deserve to know Harry!"
"I know-"
"I can't believe this! Is there something else you're keeping from me?"
"Well-"
"Or should I just not trust you ever again! WHAT. THE. HELL? Just tell me what I need to kn-"
"ANNIE," His yelling shuts me up. "I was going to explain, I swear. I just, didn't think you were ready for it yet."
"Harry, it's a baby. Of course I need to know! And you shouldn't be afraid to tell me anything."
"Look, there's something else I need to tell you too."
"Just explain it all right now, Harry. Please."
We both sit down on the couch as he tells me the story. My hand in his. ".....you got pregnant. We were planning on it though. It wasn't an accident. About five months into it, we went in to check up on the baby. And.." A tear escapes his eye, "They couldn't find a heartbeat...I'm sorry."
What? A miscarry?
"There's still more that I have to tell you Annie.. And I don't think you can handle it."
"I can Harry. Please. I need to know." Will I be able to handle it?
"No, Annie...I think we should wait."
"Harry, the only thing worse than a miscarriage would be.." I thought for a moment,"...Harry, the only thing worse than that would be if my parents died!"
He doesn't say anything.
"Harry..."
Another tear escapes his eye.
Oh my God.....
