Harry's POV

Where the hell is she? I reach in my pocket and retrieve my phone. I dial Annie's number and press the call button.


"Hey this is Annie! Sorry I missed your call! Leave me a message and I'll call you back! Thanks!"





Shit. I should have just texted her. And I should have known she didn't change her voicemail after the crash. Just hearing her voice. The happiness. I remember when she had recorded that. She was sitting in my lap. She was giggling in the message because I wouldn't stop tickling her. I miss her. The old her. I know I should be thankful for having her with me, which I am. But I just wish she wouldn't act so weird around me. It makes me feel like I am a complete stranger. I just want to hold her again. The way we used to before.




Annie's POV


Niall led me to the dining room table.

"So, what brings you here?" He asks.

He pulls out a seat for me, which I gladly take. He goes across the table and sits, waiting for an answer. "I..um, found you in my contacts. I thought maybe you could help me."

He looked down, and back up at me. "So you know we've met before? Do you remember anything between us?"

We've met before? Well, duh. I mean he was in my contacts. "No, I actually don't really remember anything about you." I say, "So you heard about the crash?"

He nodded, his face saddening. "It was in the papers."

A moment of silence filled the room. Making it, for me, as awkward as hell. I feel my phone buzz in my pocket.

"You should answer that." Niall says.

I shake my head. "No, it's probably no one." I let the buzz fade away. "So were we close?"

"Yeah," he says, "really close. Why?"

"I don't want to be pushy or anything, but I um...need a place to stay....so..." I trail off.

"You can stay here." A smile landing slightly on his face.

"I could always find somewhe-"

"No." He interrupts. "It wouldn't be the first time." Shivers run down my body as he winks at me.


Niall's POV

Finally. I get her alone...and I don't have Harry to worry about.

I know this chapter sucks...and to be honest...I'm not really feeling this story..

I mean, I'm highly considering starting a new story. But I can't just ditch this story..so.....
