Katie's POV

It has been four days since that night and all I did was mope around in my bedroom. My father realized a change in my behaviour but I couldn't tell him what happened, it was too painful to talk about; Zayn is dead and there's nothing I could do about it, it should have been me, I should have stayed and let Zach kill me instead, I'd rather be dead than have to go through this pain.

A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts, I blinked away the tears that were forming in my eyes and got up and opened the door and who I saw I did not expect. Callia was standing in my doorway, the moment she saw me she pulled me into a hug and I broke down in her arms once again soaking up her shirt. She led me to the bed and layed me down and rested my head on her lap.
"What happened?" she asked quietly.
"He's gone Cal, he's gone," I sobbed
"Whose gone?"
"Zayn, I love him, he sacrificed his life for me and now he's dead. I don't know what to do, I haven't eaten or slept well since that night." I let all my emotions out not caring if I sounded weak. If Callia let me go I'll fall, right now she was my rock.

After two hours of sitting around and watching romance movies and eating ice cream, I actually felt like going out. I nudged Cal and told her I wanted to go the park. As soon as those words left my lips her eyes lit up probably surprised yet happy that I wanted to go out. Ripping the covers off of me, I made my way to the bathroom, showered and got dressed. When I went downstairs, I saw Callia with letters in her hands.
"The mailman dropped them off a while ago and one of them is addressed to you" she said.
"I'll read them when I get back," I said taking letters amd resting them on the counter.
When we arrived at the park, there were many kids screaming and playing with each other.
"I'm going to the bathroom, will you be alright on your own?" Cal asked me. I nodded my head convincingly and then set off to the bathroom. As soon as she was out of sight memories of Zayn and I came flooding back.


~Flashback~

"Zayn get down from there before someone sees you," i said and looked down to at my watch, "Shit! we're going to be late!" I yelled at Zayn who was at the top of the slide in the park which we had broken into.
"No, five more minutes please," he pouted making me laugh at his childish behaviour,
"No, Zayn Javadd Malik get down here now!" I said sternly trying to hide the smile that was creeping onto my face.
"No" he said stubbornly "if you don't come up here, I'm not coming down and that's when we'll be late," he said while smirking.
Groaning I made my way up the slide and sat infront of him. "Ready?"
"Yeah," I replied nodding my head,
We slid down the slide and landed on each other and laughed. Zayn didn't get off of me immediately but pushed some strands of hair out my face and leaned in. Our lips inally met and it was as if fireworks went off in my body, we both puled away and smiled at each other.
~ Flashback over ~

"Katie," Cal voice called out snapping me back into reality.
"Yea," I replied quietly
"Are you alright?" No, I'm not I just lost someone I didn't know I loved until they were gone I wanted to snap but Cal was only trying to help.
"Yea, I need to go for a walk," I made my way through the park enjoying the sunshine and fresh air. I was walking when I bumped into someone.
"Sorry," I quickly apologized
"No problem, I wasn't watching where I was going," said a familiar voice
"Zayn"
