His missing shadow (Zayn Malik)
Still a child
'Don't make me cry.'- Leah tried to sound cool, but it didn't work and Zayn smiled.
He continued to stand too close to her, and she began to feel strange, because she had never experienced anything like that.
'Hey, baby. Are you having a problem with him?' - Lucas, who offered to ride her during the race, walked over and grabbed Leah's waist.
'No, I just took a beer.'
Leah pretended she enjoyed his "hug", afraid to some extent of Zayn and his behavior. They walked away, leaving Zayn to the trunk of the car. Leah gently pushed Lucas' hand, looking him in the eyes.
'What was that?'- She asked confused.
'Nothing, I'm interested in you.'
'Really?'
'Yes. You're cute.'
He approached her, ready to kiss her and no one could stop him. Leah was ready to indulge in the temptation and try the forbidden fruit. Lucas slowly touched her lips with his, and then furiously bit her lower lip. They smiled as if they were little kids, and she grabbed his neck, bringing him even closer to her.
'I'll come back soon, wait here.'- Lucas said to her, breaking the kiss.
Zoey approached, expecting to get an answer because she had seen how her sister made out with Lucas. She crossed arms and tapped with a foot nervously.
'Just having fun, don't judge me.'
'I have to go, Leah. Gavin will take us home.'
'I want to stay, can I?'
'No, you're leaving with me. You can't stay with him alone.'
'Zoey, I won't do anything with him. Be calm!'
'Are you sure, I won't forgive you?'
'I'm not that kind of girl.'
Zoey hugged her sister, although she didn't want to leave. Leah was sitting on one of the cars, while Lucas was talking with his friends. Their laughter could be heard everywhere, muffling the music from cars. Lucas walked slowly toward her, grabbing her hand. Both went to a dark blue BMW with white lines, got in and drove off in an unknown direction.
'Where are we going?'
'In my flat, babe.'
Leah shuddered when she heard the answer. She didn't want to go there, she knew what would happen next, but Leah wasn't ready. Not with him, not the first night. Just not right now.
'I don't want to go there.'
He gripped the steering wheel and hit the gas, visibly angry. She started screaming at Lucas to stop while her whole body was trembling.
'I told you to stop!'- Leah kept screaming, hitting his arm. Lucas braked to a stop and they screeched.
'Get out.' - He opened her door.
She froze, not knowing what to do, because it was dark outside, and she didn't even know the road. She slowly got out of the car and closed the door, he left her there alone.
Leah wanted danger, but this was too much. She slowly walked down the road, wrapping arms around her waist. Tears began to stream down, but when she saw lights, she jumped out on the road and waved. The car stopped, and she ran to the driver. Leah couldn't recognize the face at first, but then she saw that it was Zayn.
'Need help?'
'Are you following me?'- She said without hesitation.
'I just know too well Lucas and what he wants. I don't think you're one of those girls, so I decided to follow his car, because I knew he'd left you on the road.'
Leah smiled slightly, because it was nice to see his good side. Her first impression of him wasn't the best, because he didn't behave well.
'Get in, I won't leave you alone in the night.'
She hesitated, but decided to accept. The thought to be so close to him again made her shiver, taking a deep breath.
'I... I'm really not like that.'- Leah tried to explain, but he smiled smugly.
'I understand, you're still a child.'
'I'm not a child, I'm eighteen.'
'And I'm twenty-three, for me you're still a child.'
She sat back, realizing that all kept treating her like a small girl, but she was a woman. Leah felt used like a toy.
'What is your name by the way?'
'Leah, my name's Leah.'
