My Guitar

POV- 1ST PERSON NIALL
The light slowly came into focus. Had I blacked out again? Wait, where was Piper?!
"Blondie, calm down. You're going to crush my hand." That was her voice. She was here?!
"P... Piper?"
"I'm right here, Blondie."
"Piper!" I pulled her into a hug, relieved she was still with me. If she'd really gone, I don't know what I would've done.
"Niall, I think she's going blue." Lou said, walking in the door with the other lads. I quickly released her, but she grabbed my hand and stayed close. Grateful, I gave her a quick smile before turning to my friends, cheeks burning. They laughed .
"Niall, it's okay. Everybody thought you were going to lose her... even her." We were all quiet for a minute, until she finally turned to me.
"Blondie... I told you not to bring me. I told you to calm down. Why... Why didn't you tell me about the black outs?" I glared at Liam. He was the only one I'd told, and he'd sworn not to tell anybody else. He just raised his hands defensively. Watching our interactions, Piper spoke again. "I think, given the situation, it was necessary we be told. But... Why didn't you tell me?"
"I didn't want anybody treating me differently. Besides, I thought the condition had gone away..." It was a feeble excuse. Looking back on it, I didn't really know why I hadn't told her, or anybody else. I just... hadn't.
"Blondie... Do you really think anybody would've treated you differently?" When I didn't respond, she said, "Lou acts like a three year old ninety percent of the time, and Liam acts like he's sixty. Do we treat them any differently?" We all laughed, but I guess I saw her point.
"Yeah, I guess. I... maybe I was just embarrassed, being ridiculously self-conscious?"
"No, really?"
"Forgive me?"
"Before you even asked."
"How did I ever manage to find someone as wonderful as you?"
"You walked into a music store and bought my guitar."
"Touché."
