I'm Okay.
Chapter One.
Eloise's POV
"Eek!" Zoe squealed as the plane took off. "I'm so excited. Three months of sun, beach and American accents." she winked.
"Oh Zoe," I sniggered. "what about Alfie though?" I questioned, both of us knowing she'd had a thing for him for forever. It disgusted me, but only because he was my brother. I actually thought they'd be kinda cute.
"What about Alfie though?" she repeated, acting nonchalantly which was completely pointless. I tilted my head forward a little as if to say 'Don't even bother trying to play this off'. "Okay, okay. Maybe it will be three months of sun, beach and a holiday romance." she giggled and I joined her. She was always so full of energy, I really don't know how she did it.
"Aw." I simply said.
"What about you then? What are you most looking forward to about America?"
"I really don't know. I mean, getting away from England and the real world is a good start I guess." Zoe was looking down at her seatbelt when suddenly she flipped her long, ombred hair over her shoulder and stared shockingly in my direction.
"What's up El?" she replied with concern. "Something bothering you at home?"
"Nah," I sighed. "It's nothing."
"I've known you for a good 20 years and you think I'm gonna believe that?"
"Why not?" She elbowed me in the stomach playfully.
"I'm older and wiser," she winked. "now go! Talk to Therapist Sugg about your issues."
"Therapist Sugg?" I laughed. "It's just the whole Jacob situation."
"Aw Lou," she pouted. Zoe nicknamed me Lou because it was the middle part of my full forename. "you did the right thing, hun."
"I hope so."
"You can't say you're in love with someone when you're not!" she rubbed my shoulder. "better ending it than him finding out later." she reassured.
"I guess."
"Well stop guessing and start knowing!" she poked my dimple and I couldn't help but chuckle. I'm so glad that I had someone like her. I twisted my head towards the window and gazed out, reaching for meaning in the clouds.
Joe's POV
"Alright, alright. Enough about Game of Thrones. How's the Zoe situation going?" I wiggled my eyebrows at him, knowing full well he was a love struck little boy,
"I'm working on it bro."
"Which means?"
"I have made absolutely no progress." he sighed.
"It's okay mate," I patted Alfie on the back. "You've got an entire three months abroad to sort that one out."
"Very true," he grinned. "I'm looking forward to it."
"It's a bonus that I get to see Eloise in a bikini." I winked.
"That's my sister dude!" Alfie snapped.
"She's hot."
"You're disgusting." We both laughed. Eloise was an absolute stunner though, but I could never admit that seriously.
"What are you two laughing at?" Zoe asked.
"Nothing." we both said in unison, before laughing again. Eloise rolled her eyes and returned to look back out the window.
