Unexpected

(Harry's POV)

I can't believe I lost it like that, I really really lost it. All I could see was red, it was like I wasn't in my body. My head was telling me to stop but my body just didn't want to listen. I'm covered in blood. Anna's blood. I didn't even go after Ezra like I initially intended to, I just- I don't fucking know. I take a deep breath of the cold December air then realize I'm still in my car. Shit... I really have lost it. I open the car door and get out, only to be reminded of what I did to her. The street lights outside of the flat illuminate my clothes and the blood stains on them. Jesus Christ! What the hell did you do Styles. I need to get in there and see how she is. I run up the front steps and open the door, almost immediately Liam starts "Harry-" I stop and raise my hand, hopefully telling him to shut the fuck up and leave me alone. I continue my walk into my bedroom and stop before I open it "Oh my God, I should have pulled him off sooner" I hear Louis's voice say "you think!" And there's Ezra "she needs a hospital, I don't think I can fix this" "Harry won't let you take her to a hospital, you and I both know that" Ezra's right, I'm not letting them take her to a hospital. I am not going back to prison. I open the door and walk into the room.

An unrecognizable Anna lays on my bed, with Louis and Ezra on her right side. When I open the door they both look at me but I couldn't care less, the only thing that matters now is Anna. "Harry she has to go to the hospital" Louis says as I approach the bed "no" "Harry she's going to die if you don't take her-" I look up at Louis and cut off his sentence "I said no" he takes my hand and puts it on her neck, right where I'm suppose to feel a pulse "do you feel that?" I shake my head no "exactly! Her pulse is too weak to feel in her neck, mate she needs medical attention" "Louis get out" he's about to say something but I don't want to hear it "OUT!!" He drops my hand and walks out of the room. I can't deal with his shit tonight "are you going to help me or not?" I ask Ezra, the one person I've never asked for help, the one person that I hate the most and I need his help to save her life "what do you need me to do?" "I don't know get some medical shit-" he shakes his head and let's out a huff "medical shit? Medical shit?! How fucking stupid are you, LOOK AT HER!" He slumps down on the floor and runs a hand in his hair "look what you did to her... she needs a hospital and you know it. If you really loved her then she would already be at one now-" "DONT START THAT! Your lucky it's her laying in that bed and not you" he stands up and pushed me against the wall "LUCKY!? I'D RATHER IT BE ME THAN HER! LET ME TAKE HER TO THE HOSPITAL!" The bathroom door opens and someone I wasn't expecting come out. The look on Ezra's face right now is priceless, I had to laugh a little "but- how... What?" Ezra stutters out, but no one answers him. He picks her up and starts to carry her out the door "where do you think your going?" "Me and Ez are taking her to the hospital. You might have been able to fix me but this... she needs help" with that they both walk out of the door, leaving me alone.

When I regain the ability to come out of shock I go into the living room. Louis and Niall are sitting on the sofa, starring at the front door. Liam is talking to them but I doubt their listening "Yes he's here-" Louis stands up "HERE!! HOW BOUT - YES HES ALIVE!" Liam speaks up, trying to calm Louis down "Lou we didn't tell anyone because he wasn't doing good. Until today, I thought he was going to die" he sits down and rubs his head. After minutes of silence he stands up "I'm going to the hospital, maybe you should change and come too" he walks past me and out the door "I'm not going, Liam you should your her brother... and I need you to keep an eye on her, don't let her leave with anyone but you" he nods and walks out the door "I uh, think I'm going to give Liam some company" Niall gets up and leaves. Great just fucking great, because I feel like being alone right now... I'm not alone.

(Ezra's POV)

We get to the emergency room and the doctors immediately send her to surgery. none of us got to go back with her, not even Liam. Who, to tell you the truth, is acting worried. "She should have been out of surgery by now" Louis hollers from his seat across the room "it's only been an hour, did you see what she looked like? It'll probably take another two" Louis gets up and starts pacing around the waiting room floor "yeah because that's going to help" Liam huffs from next to me "piss off!" They both get shushed by a nurse that's walking by, and I let out a chuckle. Everyone goes quiet after that and my guilt sets in. It all happened so fast

As soon as I reach the bottom step I see that the lock is busted and I know it's Harry. How did he find us? I was so careful. Anna. I run up the stairs but stop when I come in contact with Louis's gun in my face "no- no pl-lease do-not hurt him" I look over just as soon as Harry hits her across the head with his gun "ANNA-" "SHUT UP! it'll be easier if you don't struggle" Louis smirks "Harry let her go-" A sharp pain goes to the back of my head and the next thing I know everything went dark...
"EZRA GET UP!" I open my eyes to Louis shaking me "He won't stop, I-I can't get him off by myself" I stand up and see Harry on top of Anna beating her with a baseball bat. I run over and me and Louis drag him off of her and throw him on the floor "ANNA! Oh my god" I kick Harry in the stomach "WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO!?!?" "She ran away from me she needs to be PUNISHED!" I kick him again and he starts coughing up blood "ENOUGH! Help me get him in the car and away from her please" we manage to put Harry in the car, through the protests and cursing, then I go to get Anna.

"For Annabella Payne?" A doctors voice and Anna's name bring me out of that horrid memory. Liam stands up "right here. is she ok?" The doctor comes over to us and sits down in a seat across from ours "Annabella's body endured excessive amounts of damage, she needed two surgical procedures just to get her to be able to be admitted into the ICU-" I cut her off "is she ok?" "For now she is, however Annabella is not awake and I'm not sure when she will be" the doctor takes a deep breath and continues "look, I don't know what happened to Ms. Payne but what ever it was almost ripped her spine out of her body... almost all of her ribs were broken, her jaw was shattered. The amount of trama that was caused to her head fractured her skull in three places... I don't want to lie to you gentlemen but it would have to be a miracle for Annabella to make it through this" I look over at Louis and he shakes his head, then asks "can we go see her?" The doctor nods and shows us the way.

Before she opens Anna's door the doctor stops "one at a time, she doesn't need anything causing her stress if she does regain consciousness" I step forward, only to be pulled back by Liam "she's my sister" "I'm her boyfriend and bestfriend, anyway I think she'd rather wake up to me" he drops his hand and let's me go in. I turn around and shut the door once I'm in, then I see her - laying on her side, back exposed, bruised... So many bruises. They didn't even wrap or cast anything, except her spine. I look closer and see the stitches and tape holding her together "Jesus" I grab a chair and put it on the side she is facing "oh love" a tear escapes when I see her face, she doesn't even look like the same person. I gently grab her hand and kiss it "I'm so sorry, I thought we were safe... then when you need me I blackout from one damn hit" a knock on the door interrupts me "GIVE ME A MINUTE!" I take a deep breathe and continue "listen love, you have to wake up ok? Don't leave me... not again" I get up and bend down "I love you" I kiss her head gently then leave the room.

(Louis's POV)

Bloody hell, Harry really fucked up this time. Ezra comes out of her room with tears in his eyes and motions for someone else to go in "I'm going-" Liam stops me "I'm her brother!" I shove him off of me "yeah and I'm the one that saved her, piss off!" "Neither of you are going in there alone" I push past Liam and open the door.

(Anna's POV)

I hear Louis tell Liam to 'piss off' and I silently thank him... I should really thank him when he comes in here. I try to open my eyes, try to move, but I can't. "Shit" who was that? "you should have seen her before they cleaned her up" I feel a hand on my head "it was horrible" come on Anna open your damn eyes, who the hell is in the room with Louis. I tell myself over and over again to just open my eyes but I fail every time "how did Harry find her?" "A note pad, the ink seeped through to the next piece of paper" "well then" both men laugh... I know that laugh, why can't I think straight? I manage to move my hand and someone grabs it and holds it to stop from moving "I'm going to head out, see how Harry is. Do you need anything?" "Yeah take Liam with you" Louis chuckles, then I hear the door close "Annie are you awake?" Annie? Oh my god "open your eyes... P-please" I try to open them again, only this time they do. "Anna!?" Whoever it is wraps me in a hug and oh it hurts, I whimper in pain "oh shit, I'm sorry!" I look up and can't believe what I'm seeing
