Chaper Twelve - Choice
(Anna's POV)
How am I suppose to choose between the two men that I love most in this world? Make a choice of which one Harry is going to kill? My fiancé, Ben the man that I love, the man that took me in when I was a broken and bruised mess, the man that I already watched get shot once. Or my best friend, Ezra the man I also love, my constant protector, my constant comedian that always makes me laugh no matter what the circumstances, the man that I'm most comfortable with in this entire world... The man I also slept with and if things were different I would be with. This is the hardest decision I've ever had to make, I owe both of these men my life and now I have to make a choice about ending theirs. "ANNA!" Harry screams, making me jump "my patience is getting really thin" he bends down next to Ezra and puts the gun to his head "pick know, or I'll kill both of them"
I hear the front door opening and rush to get the table set "Hey I'm home" Ben says, but I don't answer. I want him to be surprised. I hear footsteps and can tell he's getting close, maybe I shouldn't surprise him he's a cop. He might get spooked "you in here?" he sighs and I don't here footsteps anymore "wow nice Ben scare the girl away, I guess I was too pushy... She looked like she needed help. Damn" I hear foot steps again "I didn't even get to ask her out" ask me out? Is he talking about me? Aw he's so sweet. He gets to the kitchen and takes a deep breathe "surprise" I say, coming out from behind the corner. He smiles immediately and laughs "well this is better than I was expecting" "I know" I smile "I wanted to make you dinner, you've done so much for me" I pick up a plate and give it to him "thanks Anna" I wave my hand and say "no problem, I wanted to... And yes by the way" he furrows his eyebrows "yes what?" "I would love to go out with you" his eyes go wide and his face turns red with embarresment.
Harry snaps his fingers, bringing me out of my memory "Ben or Ezra?" he looks down at Ez and smirks "looks like he's not doing so well anyway" I look at Ezra and see him wink at me. Even when he is on deathrow he still tries to make me laugh.
"Annnnnaaaaa" I feel a tap on my shoulder "Anna c'mon wake up" I feel a weight on me but I still don't open my eyes "ok I see how it is... So I'm going to give you till the count of five before I start to tickle you" he wouldn't dare "one" no way "two" he'd never tickle me awake "threeeeee" oh my god "foooouuuurrrr, Anna you better wake uuuuuhhhhhuuuuppp" I start to roll over to protect myself but it doesn't work "FIVE!" he attacks my stomach and sides with tickles and I'm a laughing mess "EZ-ZRA-A STOP-P!" I'm laughing so hard I can't breathe "Nope" he chuckles "P-PLEASE!" he stops and lets me go laughing "awake now I see" he smiles "yeeesss... Why did you wake me from my beautiful slumber?" I lie back down dramatically and place my hand over my head. He busts out laughing and says "because my love no one is home and I needith your divine companyith" I giggle "companyith?" he winks "only you" I say smirking. He gets off of the bed and drags me with him "yes but you love me!" "this is true" he runs into the living-room and turns on the TV.
If someone was in my position what would you do? Pick your fiancé or the man that you've know your entire life and is sitting right in front of you with a gun to his head... Hard right "Please Harry don't do this" I beg, maybe if I beg he won't- Smack. My head whips to the side and my face stings "I gave you a choice sweetheart" he bends down close to my face "SO CHOOSE!" "Anna-a it's ok" Ezra chokes out, earning a punch in the face from Harry "No stop!" Harry cocks the gun and puts it to Ezra's head once again "you have one minute to decide before I blow his brains out"
(Zayn's POV)
When I come home from dealing with the whole Ben being alive situation, I just want to lie down... But did that happen? Nope "what the hell is going on in there?" I ask louis, he rubs his head and sighs "that dude Anna was engaged to, the one Harry shot, turns out he's still breathing" What! What! WHO THE FUCK TOLD HIM!? I don't even bother talking to Lou, I burst through Harry's bedroom door. When I get through the door Harry has Ezra by the throat with a gun to his head... Anna is laying on the floor in tears, begging for his life "Harry-" He shoots me a glare that tells me to get out, but I won't "no I'm staying, you just got out of jail mate. Do you really want to go back?" I put my hand on his shoulder "because that's what will happen if you kill him" he takes a deep breath and lowers the gun.
Ezra collapses onto the floor and Anna cries tears of relief "you know" Harry says "I'm glad you came in... It would have been a mistake killing Ezra" he leans against the foot of the bed "after all its not his fault Ben isn't dead. Who loaded my gun that morning Zayn?" I take a step back, knowing where this is going "I did Harry" he smiles "yeah you did.. You see the bullets were rubber, still knocked him out, put him in the hospital. But unfortunately didn't get the job done" a loud noise goes off and a sharp pain radiates through my chest... He shot me.
