Summer
Man Whore Harry
"You aren't nervous, are you?" Kay asked as we finally made our way through the huge mass of people at to the bar. I was out of breath, people were crazy.
"Nah, I'm just intimidated. I don't know anyone here and--"
"Hey baby," a boy interrupted me while wrapping his arms around Kay's small body from behind. She instantly smiled and nuzzled her head into his shoulder. So, I'm guessing this is Ian? He had dark black curly hair that fell past his full eyebrows. His small eyes made his features look smaller, if that makes sense.. Cutting to the chase, he was so damn fine.
"Ian, this is my cousin and bestfriend, Alexandria. This is my boyfriend, Ian," she said. Ian nodded his head at me.
"Nice to finally meet you," he said lowly. I smiled at him. Next thing I know, they were making out..right in front of me. Yeah, talk about fucking awkward.
"Um, I'm going to go do something. Yeah, okay. Um, Kay text me? Yeah, text me. Bye," I said awkwardly. I pushed a strand of hair out of my face and wandered around. The music was blaring loudly; such a nuisance right now. I should be really tired right now, I spent hours on a plane. But, I'm not. Which is weird. I walked down to the shore and kicked my shoes off. I sat on my butt down in the sand and groaned.
"Hello there," a deep voice invaded the soothing silence. I turned my head over my shoulder to see a curly haired boy. He had dark eyes that I couldn't really make out in the dark night.
"Um, hi," I said. He sat down beside me and looked out over the ocean. Am I the only one confused to why he sat down beside me? Probably.
"Can I help you?" I asked with a little laugh, but seriously, I was creeped out. He grinned down at me. Hey! He had dimples. Cutie.
"You don't want me here?" he said clenching his heart, acting like he was seriously hurt.
"I didn't mean it like that," I giggled, "I'm being stupid. You can call me Alex." He nodded his head.
"Harry. So I've never seen you around the Keys," he said.
"Yeah, I'm just here for the summer. I'm staying with my cousin Katelyn. Do you know her?" I asked. He scrunched his face into a contorted look.
"Sadly. She's a bitch," he said freely. I don't know if I should feel offended or not. She was my cousin.
"And why would you say that?" I asked. He ran his fingers through his dark curls thoughtfully.
"Well at one party, I was hitting on her cause you know, she so ducking hot. But she immediately turned me down because she said my hair was too curly for her. And after then, I have never been the same," he said dramatically causing me to laugh. Oh, the perspective side of Kay was showing.
"That's Kay for you," I laughed. He shrugged.
"But all is good. I have gotten me a nice bird since then. But guess what!" he said excitedly.
"What?" He smiled down at the sand and looked at me.
"She broke up with me tonight," he said. I just sat there because honestly, I didn't care. He laughed at the silence.
"Thanks for asking, but yes, I am alright. She was just a nice quickie," he explained, "a nice fuck." I glanced at him weirdly.
"You, my friend, are a man whore," I laughed. Usually, if I met a guy like that, I would have been gone by now, but Harry, he was cool.
"Did you just say, friend? Oi, we are friends now!" he said loudly with a killer smile.
"I guess so. You're my first British friend," I said a matter-of-factly.
"Oh my god, that is so kee-wl," he said sarcastically causing me a fit of laughter, " Moved down here from the U.K. to study oceanography." Now that, was interesting.
"Really? That's awesome! I'm guessing you're starting courses at University after summer?" I asked.
"Yep. What about you? Where are you going to college?" he asked me.
"I got a scholarship to New York University for the arts," I explained to him. He nodded his head as if impressed.
"Very nice. You should have gone to New York for modeling, cause you're gorgeous," he said with a smile.
"Ah, sorry Harry. I don't think 'us' will get any further. Your hair is way too curly for me babe," I said. He rolled his eyes and laughed.
"I could get used to you. I'm glad I met you, Alex. Lets go get some drinks," he said while standing up. I took his hand he held out and followed him to the bar. The man at the counter smiled at Harry.
"Harry, long time no see man," he said.
"I know mate, I know. Hey sneak me a beer will ya? And.." he said while looking at me.
"A water is fine," I told the bartender. He winked at Harry and started getting our drinks. Harry leaned on the bar and studied the sunset some more.
"Underage drinking? Kind of risking isn't it?" I said with a hint of fun to my voice. He scoffed.
"Don't be one of those people," he said seriously.
"It was a joke," I reassured. His facial features smoothed out. I leaned against the bar and looked out at the party in front of me. Harry leaned followed me gaze and leaned down to my ea.
"See that group of girls and guy right there," he whispered while nudging towards them. I nodded. "Everybody hates them, but! They have connections, so everyone gets to know them because they just want to use them. They are spoiled bitches." I laughed and eyed them. The guys all wore a shirt with a collar; probably Polo shirts. The girls all had their faces plastered with make up and the newest clothes.
"I can see that," I whispered. He turned me towards a group of girls. They were all pretty while wearing nothing but their bathing suit.
"Those girls only want the sex. They mask themselves to be sweet little girls, but again, they only want the sex," he explained. I nodded. "And I'm sad to say, some guys still fall for them."
"Have you?" I asked. He nodded his head guiltily.
"Yeah. That's my newest ex," be said while pointing to the girl in the hot pink bikini. She was like a Barbie doll. Blond hair, blue eyes, skinny frame. All that good and boring stuff.
"Nice one," I said sarcastically. He raised his hands up as if he was surrendering.
"At least we had sex like ten times," he said. I shook my head with a smile and spotted Kay coming towards Harry and I.
"I have been looking for you Alex!" she groaned. Once her eyes landed on Harry, she rolled her eyes. "Oh, hi Harry." Harry nodded his head and took a swig of his beer the bartender gave him.
"I should go. I don't want my hair to bother you," he said seriously. I smirked, but Kay just frowned at him. "Bye Alex. Pleasure meeting anyone." Harry wrapped his arms around me and gave me a quick hug, then left.
"Don't tell me there's a you and him," she groaned.
"No. Why did you turn him down?" I asked her.
"Because," she said simply. I rolled my eyes and watched the party.
All the sudden, there was screaming and chanting. Kay gave me a confused looks and grabbed my hand to bring me closer to whatever was happening. We pushed ourselves through a huge crowd the was forming by the shore until we could see what was happening. A fight. That wasn't it, Ian was fighting with another guy. Kay started freaking out.
"Oh my god, what if he gets hurt!" she yelled. She ran out to the boys who were throwing punches at each other. She struggled to get them off of each other. My feet automatically brought me to them. Currently, the other boy was on top of Ian throwing punches. I grasped the other guy on top of Ian by his toned center and tried my hardest to pull him off. I should work on my arms more, because I wasn't making a difference at all.
"Stop!" I yelled and tried again at pulling the guy off Ian. That's when I felt a pair of strong arms tear me off the guy.
"No! Let go of me! He's getting hurt!" I yelled. The guy placed me down on the sand.
"Stay the fuck away from the fight, or you will get hurt," the guy demanded. His dark eyes stared into mine. He had jet-black hair that set freely on his head. His olive skin was a little darker than mine. Who was this guy? He moved away from me and went back into the fight. He pulled the guy off Ian in one swift pull. Ian laid on the ground motionless. I rushed to Ian and Kay was already there. Blood was splattered all across his face, his nose was crooked. Definitely broken. I checked his pulse, he was alive thankfully. Kay started balling and leant into me. I wrapped my arms around her shoulders and comforted her.
"Shhh, it's okay. Look you need some rest, go home and go to bed. I'll be right there. You don't live too far away. Okay?" I said strongly. She nodded her head reluctantly and walked to her car. By now, the crowd around us has significantly lowered in numbers. I got a napkin out of my purse and dabbed at Ian's nose.
"Is he okay?" A familiar voice said from behind me. I turned over my shoulder and noticed it was the guy who pulled me from the fight.
"I don't know. You're friend beat the living shit out of him," I hissed. He didn't say anything. Ian's eyes fluttered open and he stared at me.
"What the hell. Get off of me," he said while pushing me away. I got up to my feet as he did. Once his eyes met Zayn, he flared with anger.
"You. I fucking hate you and your friends," he spat at the guy while stepping closer. 'Guy' didn't look anyhow afraid, a matter of fact, he took a step closer to him too.
"Guys, stop. Ian go home," I said harshly. He backed down reluctantly and walked off to his car. I sighed and turned to 'Guy'.
"Never touch me like that again. I could've helped him by myself," I said. It was true. He ran his hands through his hair while chuckling lowly.
"Whatever. You're welcome. See you around babe," he said teasingly.
"I hope not," I said while turning on my heel, making my way towards the sidewalk. Everyone was still going at it; dancing, drinking, and talking. They probably don't even care if someone almost died. Fucktards. I heard a familiar voice yelling my name.
"Harry?" I said. He walked up to me and smiled.
"You still here? It's the strike of twelve!" He said. I laughed a little.
"There was a little dilemma, and I'm sad to say, I need a ride home because I don't feel like walking," I said quickly. He nodded his head.
"Sure, this party was dying anyways. Follow and you shall get a ride home," he said.
