Attraction

I stood, my mouth agape, staring at him. "Wait, what? Is Harry okay?"

He rolled his head to the right, looking over at Louis for backup. He walked over and began to explain the situation. "We don't really know. He's in the ER right now, but he might be completely fine. They need to give him a CAT scan and all that shit."

I had a mini panic attack. "What happened to him?"

"Well, apparently you were mad at him because of something that happened at the party so you stormed outside and messed with the brakes on his car. He was driving to school this morning and tried to stop at the bottom of a hill, but his breaks were of course screwed up and his car went off the road into the lake. He hit his head, but that's pretty much all we know."

I stared at him. If I hadn't walked to school today, I could've been dead. "Who said that I did that? I would never do that!"

"Well, this guy was in the area at the time and said he saw it... What was his name..." He turned to Zayn. "Was it Sam...?"

Zayn cocked his head to the side. "Yeah, I think so."

As soon as I heard this, my eyes widened in disbelief. "Wait... Sam King?" I stuttered.

"That's him." Louis said loudly.

Zayn stepped in. "Isn't he the guy who Harry hates? You know, the one who..."

Louis looked at him. "Oh, yeah, THAT guy."

I froze. "SHIT!" I screamed, throwing a sponge form a nearby shelf at the wall.

Louis chuckled, but soon stopped when he saw the look on my face. "What's the problem?"

I paced around the small space. I tried really damn hard to keep calm. It didn't work. "Sam came to my house the night of the party while I was crying in the rain and he said I was too good for Harry and I slapped him and THIS IS ALL MY FAULT I'M SO SORRY!!!"

Both boys stared at me. "Aria, slow down. What happened?" Louis sat down next to where I collapsed on the floor. I told him the story of that night (or at least what I could remember of it) and he seemed to (partially) get it.

"Okay, so you did not try to kill Harry." He states.

"Really?" I reply.

"Okay then... You're innocent!"

Zayn steps in. "But the cops don't know that and they have no reason to believe you" He begins to say, but is interrupted by a loud banging on the door.

"Shit" Louis murmurs under his breath. I look at Zayn who quickly lifts me off of the floor and puts me down on the top shelf of the closet.

"What are you doing?!?" I whisper/scream to him, but he completely ignores me.

The door swings open, and a police officer (!!!) walks in.

"What are you boys doing in here?" Louis looks over at Zayn.

"Ma'am, I'm sorry, we were just... Do you believe in gay rights?" He leans in and whispers the last part to her. I try to stifle my laughter, but the officer hears me.

"What was that?"

Zayn steps up. "Me, sorry, I was just thinking about how funny Louis here is... And sexy too..." He keeps up the act and I manage to keep down my giggles.

Louis takes a step towards Zayn, who puts his arm around Louis's waist. Louis bites his lip and nuzzles into Zayn's shoulder. The police officer seems convinced enough and quickly changes the subject. "Do either of you know the whereabouts of Aria Williams?"

Louis shakes his head and looks up at Zayn. "You, babe?"

Zayn keeps a completely straight face and shakes his head at the police officer. "Sorry, no."

The officer nods her head and begins to back out of the room. "I'll let you two get back to... Whatever it is kids do these days."

She shakes her head awkwardly and just before she closes the door, my phone starts to ring.

She comes back in the cramped closet and looks straight up at my hiding spot. 'Shitshitshit' I think, trying to muffle the annoying dinging of my phone. "Whose there?" She asks.

Zayn takes his phone out of his pocket and looks at it, as if he was seeing who was calling. "Oh, it's that girl who thinks I like her again." He murmurs to Louis, who quickly looks at him, shocked.

"Doesn't she know that your not interested...?" The officer looks away from the boys and starts to leave.

"Well thank you all for your help..." She mutters, exiting the closet. Immediately, we all burst into laughter.

"The look on her face..." I say after nearly a full minute of hysterics.

"But seriously, that was wayyy to close." Louis says, and I look at him in the eyes.

"I'm sorry for making you confess your love, Zouis, I just thought the timing was right..." We burst into another fit of laughter and I jumped down from my hiding place on the shelf and turned to them.

"But, in all seriousness, how am I going to get out of here?"

Louis glanced over at Zayn. "Well, we could use the Jeb and Kris..."

Zayn looked at him as if he were crazy. "We can't use the Edelens anymore! Are you insane?" He practically hissed.

"Well, it's either that or get Aria arrested"

Zayn sighed and started pacing. "This is so risky... Remember last time?"

"I know, but they've grown up... At least a little..." Louis turned to me, and laughed when he saw my confused face.

"Aria, Aria, Aria. We're going to get out of here"

"Who are Jess and Chris?"

He chuckled. "Jeb and Kris, and I would suggest you get their names right when you meet them. And as for your question, I can't answer it."

"What?"

"Just know that they have a lot of... connections?" He half-asked, half-stated.

"Zayn, just call them already."

Zayn takes a deep breath. "Alright, mate, here goes nothing..."

Oh and just in case you don't get this, Louis and Zayn were just faking! They're not together in the story (which you probably knew considering they both have girlfriends). I just wanted to clear that up!
