Moving Day
{Aria's POV}
"Aria! Get your butt down here! We have to go!!"
Ugh. I absolutely hate moving days. Every year it's the same thing; dad gets fired, we pick up and leave. One thing I've learned is not to get too attached to anyone. I mean, the longest time we've ever lived in one area was 1 1/2 years, and that was before mom died. She was our anchor, and when the anchor is gone, the ship keeps sailing.
"ARIA!!!"
I sigh."Coming dad" I yell back, just trying to get him to shut up. I throw on a black pair of yoga pants, a bright blue bandeau, and my favorite muscle tank from H&M. I pull my brown, wavy hair into a messy bun and don't even bother putting on any makeup. I grab my suitcase and half-push, half-pull all of my belongings down the old marble stairs.
"Forget anything?" My dad asks.
"Yeah, my friends, my life, and pretty much everything else"I snapped. "I'm 17, can't I just stay here with grandma?"
"Aria..."he pauses, as if trying to think of the perfect thing to say. "I know moving has always been hard for you. And I know it's difficult to move halfway across the world and leave this place behind, but we have each other. You and I have been through so much together. Please, just try to make the best out of it?" He sounded genuinely sorry, and he was right either way.
"Okay" I muttered. " Meet you in the car" "Thank you, Aria"
