True Colors

It has been 2 weeks since I got my sweet sweet revenge on Harry, or saw him for that matter. I was feeling great, the stars were aligned, my grades were good, it was just a great time for me.

Even my love life was falling into place. That was new.

I don't quite know what me and Luke were, but I didn't care at the moment. I found that I enjoyed his company quite a bit. We had the same sense of humor, so a good chunk of our time consisted of us laughing at inappropriate sexual innuendos.

Meanwhile, he discovered that one of his new favorite activities was to annoy me by doing stupid little things that he knew pissed me off. Like flicking my arm repeatedly, or constantly tapping his hand on his desk. He'd do it and peer over at me every now and then to watch my reaction. He'd smirk when he'd see me tense up. When I glared he'd start laughing and would run for shelter. Even the thought of that stupid grin on his face when he was being a complete goof made me happy. He was so funny.

My relationship with him was different then ones I've been in before. I only had two boyfriends in highschool. One sophomore year and one the end of junior year that didn't last over the summer. Then came Harry. Ugh

When I was younger my relationships tended to fall into a routine. We'd see eachother after school and text at night, but we rarely spent time on the weekends. It never really felt like I was dating someone. They didn't make me feel those crazy in love feelings. Harry was just bad, let's not talk about it further.

Luke was so much different. Everything was playful between us. We teased eachother, annoyed eachother to no end, and every now and then we'd end up play fighting- most guys would let the girl win at least once, but not Luke. He never let me win. I was kinda glad he didnt, because when I finally do so- and I will- it will be a great day. In a nutshell, Luke is just a dork who acts cool in public and I love it.

I was always laughing and smiling around him. He made the stupidest puns but I couldn't help but laugh at them. Just the thought of that stupid goofy grin of his made me melt. It was weird to think about how much he genuinely annoyed me mere weeks ago.

I was in my room trying to study when the devil himself decided that he was bored and wanted to annoy me.

"How did you get in?" I asked when I saw him in my doorway.
"Emily let me in," he smirked.
I rolled my eyes playfully, "of course she did,"
"You don't sound too happy to see me," he laughed.

"I'm studying," I stated, "go amuse yourself elsewhere,"
"Kara," he laughed sprawling out on my bed.
I groaned, "Luke,"
He smirked, "I'm not doing anything! You didn't even give me a chance!"

I quirked an eyebrow at him.
"I swear I'll behave," he grinned.
"Fine," I huffed spinning in my chair and going back to my book.

Aslan came in and jumped on my bed, wagging his tail and tackling Luke.
Luke was laughing as my puppy tugged on his shirt with his teeth. I could hear them wrestling as I studied.

I had tuned him out for a bit, caught up in my work. I guess I should've kept a better eye on him, let's face it he's like a small child, because he decided to cause trouble. One minute I was holding my text book and the next it was snatched and tossed across the room.

"Luke!" I squealed
He grinned and tossed me over his shoulder.
"Put me down you idiot," I giggled.
"Not after that remark,"

I could hear the smirk in his voice.
"Send help!" I called to Dana and Emily who were arguing in the livingroom over what to watch.
Emily grinned and shot me a thumbs up which I waved off. Dana giggled behind her hand.
"You can keep her!" Emily called as we left.
"I will!" Luke grinned, giving a thumbs up.
