And Her Name Was Day
Chapter 6
Day's POV
"I'm telling you Keely, he isn't even that old!" I whined into my phone as I drifted across my pool on a float.
"It just sounds weird Day. It sounds like you want to have sex with an old man."
"I do not want to have sex with him! And like I said, he isn't even old! Definitely not an old man!"
"Whatever. I have to meet him or see him to be able to judge. Ask if I can meet him." Keely said excitedly.
"No way! What do you want me to say? Hey, can my friend stare at you while she decides if you're too old for me to date?" I asked.
Keely laughed, "I was hoping for something more along the lines of 'My friend wants to know if your as hot as your partner is and wants to know how old you actually are.'"
"Oh that sounds perfect, I'll ask right now." I joked back. I watched as Harry slide quietly through the glass door. He had been being pestered all day by Louis to check that all of the security cameras were working, that no one was watching us, that I was okay, that my brother was okay, and about a million other things. I didn't blame him for trying to get away for a swim. "Sneaking out?" I smirked.
He jumped and turned facing the pool. "You scared me."
"Good thing I wasn't here to kill you. You'd be dead by now." I laughed.
"Ha-ha. So funny." He said sarcastically.
"Kelly, I have to go." I said keeping an eye on Harry as he turned away from me and slid his shoes off.
"Bitch. Call me tonight." She pouted.
"Oh fuck off Keels. I will. Love you." I laughed as she returned my goodbye. "Harry will you come take this and put it on the table?" I asked sweetly bot wanting to move.
"I'm you bodyguard not your slave." he smirked as he looked over his shoulder at me. He began to take his black tank top off to reveal his toned chest and tattoos.
"Please. It's the least you could do for ruining my peace and quiet. God only knows I need some before tomorrow." I sighed.
"Are you okay?" Harry asked as the began to walk towards the end of the pool that my float was starting to near.
"I guess. I feel like a bad daughter. I've mainly complained about having to plan it then be upset about my mom's funeral tomorrow." I said and Harry reached out his hand and took my phone before setting it on the table behind him.
"It's hard to be sad. You just found out that your brother is actually alive." He actually got in this time when he walked over.
"Even before that though. I never really cried at all. Just when I saw them." I said and sat up on the float, putting my legs to one side.
"I didn't cry when my dad died." Harry said. "If it makes you feel any better." He couched down in the water and let his shoulders get wet.
"But you're supposed to be some big tough guy who doesn't have any emotions." I laughed and slid off the float to cool my burning skin.
He laughed and shook his head. "I have emotions. Everyone has emotions. Some people just don't express them."
"Like you?"
"No. I express my emotions perfectly fine thank you." He went underwater and made faves at me through the water.
I threw my head back and laughed. I loved how Harry wasn't that stereotypical ass-hole gang member who couldn't give a fuck about anyone.
"Did you know, I can't open my eyes underwater?" I asked when he came up.
"Oh my god really?" He laughed at me shaking his head like a dog as his hair threw water all over me.
"Ew! Harry!" I whined wiping it off. "Stop laughing, it's not funny."
"Two year olds open their eyes underwater!" He said still laughing.
"I'm not two though!" I whined splashing him as he continued laughing.
"I'm just saying, it's funny that someone who probably spent most of their teenage days at the beach with friends can't open their eyes underwater."
"Wow. You're officially an asshole."
"Me? I was going to ignore the fact that you splashed me until you said that!" He said. He reached out, grabbed my arm and threw me to the other side of the pool before I could even scream.
"I can't believe you just did that! Do you see how close I am to this wall? What if you threw me out of the pool?!" I shouted across the pool to him.
"I wasn't expecting you to go that far. Sometimes I don't know my own strength." He laughed.
"No way that was funny! I could've died!"
"It was pretty funny too me!"
