Harry's POV

"So the guests will be here in about an hour," Mrs. Sheeran talked to Ed while we were going through photos the band and I took on tour. "Make sure not to break the place down," she told him before leaving.

"I wonder when Mia's getting back," Ed frowned as he looked at a picture of Niall sleeping on the couch at a hotel.


"Where are they?" I curiously asked him. I didn't know she left, but I should have guessed because the girls were no where to be seen for hours.

"They picked Nina up from the airport," he quietly told me as he put my phone on the table.

I hate how Nina broke his heart. He didn't deserve it. And he had to pretend that he was fine with Nina attending his mother's party, for his mother's sake of course. Ed also told me that Nina and Mia are friends. I've always liked Nina, she was such a lovely person to be around, but after what she did to Ed, I wasn't sure how I would end up treating her.

"They should be back any minute now though," he told me with a sigh as he got up.

"Your sister doesn't seem to like me that much," I chuckled as I followed him to the kitchen.


"Why?" He frowned at me with a smirk plastered on his face. He probably liked the idea of Mia not being too fond of me, seeing that it would be impossible for her to fall for my charms then.


"She didn't seem to like me earlier, although Joey did," I winked at him.


He laughed loudly as he placed a beer in front of me. "Mia checks the media a lot, kind of her way of checking up on me," he shrugged. "She's seen a lot of things about you, bad things," he chuckled. "She doesn't like manwhore's,"


I pretended to be offended and gasped as I placed my hand over my chest. "She thinks I'm a manwhore?"


"Well yes, that's what you're known for in the media,"

"I'll just have to prove her wrong then," it actually felt bad to know that someone thought about me like that. But I had the chance to prove to her that I wasn't anything like she thought I was, and I took my chance.

"Harry," Ed warned.


I held my hands up in surrender and chuckled. The front door was heard opening and you could tell that the girls were back due to the high voices filling the house.

"Ed!" Mia's voice rang through the house.

"Kitchen!" He called back.


I opened my beer and took a swing from it as Mia entered the kitchen. She gave me a glare and smiled warmly at Ed.

"Where's mom?" She asked him as she walked to the fridge.


Once again, I found myself staring at her body. Her toned legs were perfectly formed. Her waist was small but it fit her perfectly. Ed cleared his throat and I looked away, knowing I was caught.

"Don't know," Ed shrugged.


The doorbell rang and Mia walked out of the kitchen with a bottle of water in her hand.

"Don't check out my sister," Ed hit my arm.


I chuckled at him. Petite voices were heard closing in on us and three bodies entered the room. Nina smiled small at Ed and turned to me. She threw her arms around my neck and hugged me tightly. I saw Ed's frown and felt bad. Joey on the other hand, her frown was a frown of disgust.

"God I've missed you," Nina chuckled as she pulled away from me.


"Yeah," I offered her a smile and stood up from the kitchen chair. "I'm going to finish up," I told them before leaving. Truth is, I was ready. I just didn't want to have Nina acting that way with me when she won't even talk to Ed. And I didn't have to allow her behavior, but I didn't want a fight, so leaving the scene was a better option.

A few hours passed and Ed called me from the room I slept in. The room I then knew, belonged to Mia. I followed Ed to the backyard where there was barely place for a mouse and watched him as he tuned his guitar.


"Are you singing?" I questioned him.


"My mother wants me to do a song from my new album," he sighed. I knew that he wasn't in the mood for any of those songs, most of them were written with the thoughts of Nina, but Ed would do anything for his mother, which is why he didn't argue. Everyone's attention turned to Ed and the scene started going silent. I pulled a chair up next to Ed and sat down on it.

"What song should I do?" Ed smiled at his mother.


Mia, Ruby and Nina walked to the front of the crowd and Ruby took out her phone to record the singing. Nina stood awkwardly, looking everywhere except at Ed. Mia on the other hand, stood with her hands on her hips, a smile plastered on her lips and sparkling eyes as she watched her brother.

"Oh, do a few darling," Ed's mother clapped her hands together in excitement.


With a sigh, Ed start a song.

"Things were all good yesterday
And then the devil took your memory"


As he continued the song, I watched Mia's face. It turned from a bright smile, to a small smile. Her sparkling eyes still sparkled, but not for the same reason anymore. They sparkled because of tears forming in her eyes. As I watched her expression, I longed to know her thoughts and how she saw things in life. I longed to get to know her. Not that I liked her, how could I? But she fascinated me. Simply because she treated me differently. She didn't see me as 'Harry Styles known for his voice and the boyband he is in'. She saw me as a normal person. And even though she didn't know me, she hated me because of things other people-the media-made her see. If I had the chance to prove her differently, maybe she wouldn't have hated me so much. I wasn't denying that I was a manwhore at times, but the person inside of me was differently than what she thought. When the word 'manwhore' comes to mind, one thinks off full of himself, thinks the universe belongs to him, doesn't have feelings, likes sex a lot, doesn't have a personality. I knew for a fact that if someone got to know me for who I am, they would never have thought of me as a manwhore, but yet another person with bright thoughts and feelings. At least, that's how I saw myself. Ed's song came to an end and he frowned as he looked down at the floor. Everyone was watching him; waiting for the next song. But I knew, I knew what he was thinking. He wanted Nina back, he had to do something to play with her feelings so she'd see. We both knew she was stubborn, so she probably never listened to his new album. He started playing his guitar and I smiled at the song he chose, his eyes were glued on his guitar, but his gaze lifted to me once I started playing drum beats with my hands on the table next to me. He gave me a warm smile and sang the song with his eyes closed. My eyes drifted to Nina, and she started tearing up.

"Tell me that you'll turn down the man
Who asks for your hand
'Cause your waiting for me.
And I know, you're gonna be away a while"

We finished the song and Nina shook her head as a few more tears fell down her face.


"That was lovely," Ed's mother smiled at him.

The crowd started clapping and cheering and Mia rushed over to Ed to pat his shoulder.

"You did good bro," she winked at him.


"Why don't you and Harry do one?" Ed's mother suggested.

I shook my head, feeling tired from singing on tour.


"Oh please!" Ed's mother pleaded. "You have a lovely voice!" She smiled at me. "Doesn't he, Mia?" She turned to her daughter.


"I've never heard his voice before," she shrugged.


A smirk found its way to my face and I found myself agreeing. The crowd settled down again and Ed gave me a smile. One of Ed's songs, we always end up singing whenever we're drunk. It's a lovely song, it'll always stay my favorite. Ed started playing the guitar and I chuckled when I realized that he chose the exact song. I did drum beats on the table again as the guitar played. Ed played his guitar with a smile, before singing the first few lines.

"Settle down with me
Cover me up
Cuddle me in"


He gave me a smile, signaling that it was my turn. As I started singing, my eyes drifted to Mia. Her eyes were intensely glued on me as she watched me with a frown. I sang the words with a smirk as I looked back at her.

"Lie down with me
And hold me in your arms
And your heart's against my chest
Your lips pressed to my neck"

Ed's voice started drifting into the song, and Mia's eyes grew wider with every word I sang.

"I'm falling for your eyes but they don't know me yet
And with a feeling I'll forget, I'm in love now."


The song ended after a few more lines, and my eyes never left Mia's. Neither did her eyes leave mine. The crowd cheered and clapped as we stood up from our seats.

"That was lovely, thank you," Ed's mom smiled at me as she pulled me in for a hug. I returned the smile and looked back at Mia who was still watching me.

"Did you like it?" I asked her with a smile as I slowly took steps towards her.


Her eyes took in my face for a few seconds, then rested on my eyes. Her eyes were beautiful from up close.

"Your words played me like a symphony," she gave me a small smile before leaving.


I stood where she left me with a frown as I let the words sink in. At first, I didn't seem to understand them, but when it sunk in, a smile made its way to my face. Mia stood a few feet away from me, talking to Joey. Her eyes were on me as she spoke to Joey. I walked past her, but stopped when I was next to her and leaned in by her neck, whispering "I'll play it till my fingers bleed, your my greatest masterpiece," I told her, leaving a soft kiss in her neck. I continued my walk, but she stopped me with her small hand on my lower arm.

"You ruin me," she whispered before leaving again.


I found myself speechless. Letting the words sink in.
