You Blew My Mind

All things truly wicked

Kiara's POV

The rest of the week practically dragged on. I had the same routine; go to work, go home and practice for my music exam, take a nap, practice till I couldn't keep my eyes open anymore. Which was good, because if I could play the song with eyes closed, that would have rocked .

"Kiara!" My mother called for me as soon as I stepped into the house.

I followed her voice into the kitchen and grabbed myself an apple before taking some juice from the fridge.

"Mrs. Styles will be bringing her cousin in about an hour," my mother informed me.

"Shit," I cursed as I hit my head against the inside of the fridge in attempt to stand up.

I can't believe I forgot about that. At least I finished my song and I played it perfectly; with my eyes closed of course. That probably the best way to play music, by closing your eyes, by allowing the music to fill you up and mend your sorrows; by being vulnerable to music. I took a glass from the sink and washed it out with water before I poured my juice in.

"Do you still have your piano book from middle-school?" My mother asked me as I put the juice back into the fridge.

"Yeah, it should be in the music room," I told her as I took my juice and the apple in my hands.

"Well go get ready, you can't look like that when they get here," she eyed my outfit.

I rolled my eyes at her as I walked back to my room. I've always hated how my mother wants me to dress up like I'm going to church every day. Not that we ever go to church, but she grew up in a wealthy family and always dressed proper, now I have to fall in her footsteps. Seriously, what's wrong with a tank top and shorts? I placed my juice on my TV stand and walked to my dresser. Pulling out a pair of skinny jeans I took a bite of my apple. I heard laughter from downstairs and got happy, in hopes that my father was home. I've always hated that my father's work was to go to different countries for meetings and such, but I knew that he had to; it was what he wanted to do; being that he owned some of the biggest music industries in the world. But my hopes of it being my father that was home soon faded when my mother called for me.

"Kiara! Mrs. Styles is here!"

I groaned and pulled my shorts down. I took a sip from my juice and dressed myself in my skinny jeans. Before putting on my converse, I downed the rest of my juice and grabbed my apple. As I walked back to the kitchen, I heard a male voice. A different male voice than my father's. As I neared the kitchen, I saw a mop of curls on a man standing next to Mrs. Styles. Her daughter wasn't there, but the last body my eyes landed on was the youngster I was going to teach how to play a piano.

"There you are," my mother smiled.

I forced a smile at her as I walked to the kitchen island.

"Hello dear," Mrs. Styles greeted me.

"Hi," I smiled at her before taking a bite of my apple. I saw a magazine on the kitchen island that fascinated me; simply because Justin Bieber was on the cover. So what, I think he's sexy, it's normal for a 19 year old to have a crush on a guy. I flipped through the pages, in search of more photos of Justin, when my mother's voice caused me to groan.

"That is Mrs. Styles' son, Larry is your name, right?" She looked at the man.

I followed my mothers gaze and my eyes landed on Mrs. Styles' son. I watched as his frown turned into a smirk before he shook his head.

"Harry," he corrected her. "It's lovely to meet you," he looked at me, sending a wink before he pulled his phone from his pocket. He had a black T-shirt on with black skinny jeans and dark brown boots. His tattoos lingered on his skin as the fascinated me. I didn't take in his features when he looked at me, but I saw a pair of dimples pop up on his cheeks as he smiled at his phone. He looked up from his phone, staring at me for a few seconds, before winking again.

I frowned at him and shook my head then walked around the kitchen island to Mrs. Styles cousin who stood next to her, shyly looking at the floor.

"And what might your name be?" I asked him with a smile as I went down on my knees in front of him.

"Tyler," he smiled at me.

"Well, Tyler, I'm Kiara. Let's give you some piano lessons," I gave him an encouraging smile. I've always loved children, how innocent and sweet they are. Tyler looked up at Mrs. Smiles to see if it was alright with here if he left, and she gave him a small nod.

"Have fun," she told him with a smile.

I stood back to my feet and walked to the trash can to throw my apple away.

"I might have to work late tonight, but I'll see if Gemma or Harry can pick him up," Mrs. Styles spoke as I walked back to Tyler again.

"I can always drop him off," I offered. "I'm going to a friend's house when I'm done anyway,"

"Oh that would be lovely! Here, let me write down the address for you," Mrs. Styles spoke as she reached for something in her purse.

She seemed like such a lovely lady. But her son? I didn't know how I felt about him. I could feel him looking at me, but it was uncomfortable for me to look at him, so I refused to. Mrs. Styles handed me a piece of paper with writing on and I pushed it into the back of my jeans after thanking her.

"Well I'm going to have coffee with Mrs. Styles before she has to leave for work, so I'll be back later," my mother spoke.

I gave her a small nod and smiled at Tyler. "Ready?"

"Yeah," he sighed.

I couldn't tell if he didn't want to take piano lessons, or if he was stressed out about it. I know I was stressed out at my first piano lesson. My mother and Mrs. Styles walked to the door and I followed them with Tyler beside me so he could greet his aunt.

"Oh Harry," Mrs. Styles called for her son, who I then noticed was right behind me. "Grab my phone in the kitchen please," she smiled at him.

He gave her a nod before walking back to the kitchen.

"Well be good, I'll see you later," Mrs. Styles kissed Tyler's head before smiling at me.

"Thank you, Kiara,"

"Anytime," I smiled at her before she walked through the door with my mother.

"Can I go get something from the car?" Tyler nervously asked me.

"Yeah, go ahead," I really didn't understand how Gemma could say that he was a hand full, he looked like such a sweet kid. I stood in the doorway as I waited for Tyler's return.

"You never told me your name," I heard a husky voice behind me, making me jump.

I turned around as I put my hand over my chest. "You probably heard it when I introduced myself to Tyler," I gave him a sarcastic smile. I didn't want to be a bitch, but the way he looked at he was freaky.

His eyes scanned my body, creating a smirk on his face. "But you never told me your name, love,"

"Kiara," I smiled another sarcastic smile to him.

Right in time to save my arse from the awkwardness with the stranger, Tyler came back into the house with a book in his hands.

"I'll be seeing you around," Harry winked at me before leaving the house.

I sighed and turned my attention to Tyler. What was up with that guy? "Are you ready?" I smiled at Tyler.

"Yeah," he nodded eagerly.

Notes

"All things truly wicked start from innocence."

I am NOT a Justin Bieber fan, just saying.
