I was 18, and school was finally over. I had my trustful friend Ahnna, along with her I ❤ Harry Styles bracelet next to me. We knew what we had to do. We grabbed newspapers from every town near us and started looking through them.
"I'm not seeing any talent show stuff, how about you?" I asked.
"I found this one..." Ahnna pointed at an advertisement,
~TALENT SHOW THIS TUESDAY IN POWELL HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM!!! COME AND WATCH!!!~
"Well, I know where we're going this Tuesday." I stated.

"Next up is......" The judge looked at the paper, "Emily Jameson!"
Me and Ahnna both had our heads in our hands, bored from observing all the bad singers, we had almost lost all of our hope.
"Hi, I'm Emily, I'm 17 and I, uh, I, um..." She started.
"Am Really nervous." I whispered into Ahnna's ear. She nodded in agreement.
"I'll be singing, um, a song called, um...."
"Okay dear, just get along with it." The judge told her.
"Okay."
We heard a song start and instantly recognized it as 'Rock Me' by One Direction. We looked at each other and started mouthing the lyrics, being directioners, we had it memorized. When it started, we heard a beautiful voice. We looked to the stage with surprised looks and gaped at how that that beauty had come from that nervous wreck of a 17 year old. When the song ended everyone clapped.
Ahnna and I met her after the show in the hallway.
"Hey, that was a great performance, you're a great singer." I told her.
"Oh, uh, thanks." She replied and started walking out the door.
"And we have been looking for some good singers!" Ahnna shouted to her back.
She stopped and turned around, "Are you, talent agents?" She had a twinkle in her eye.
I burst out laughing until Ahnna looked at me madly. "No we are not talent agents, I think we are a little too young to be talent agents."
"Oh, well then I should get going." She said.
"Look, my name is Lilith and this is Ahnna okay?" I started, "And..."
She interrupted me, "My name is Emily"
"We know, anyway, we were starting a girl band and we came here to look for girls with good voices, you fit the bill, okay? So do you wanna join?" I told her.
She paused trying to get every word through her brain. It felt like an eternity before she said, "Really?my voice is that good?" She asked us, "I mean, I always knew I had a good voice but, wow, I never thought, ok, I'll join, I have a friend too, her name is Mary, she is better at singing than I am. Can she join?"
We looked at each other and shrugged our shoulders, "Well, I guess now we don't have to bury ourselves in newspapers again, sure, she can join." I said. Well it was settled, we had a band, the singing part at least.

"Okay, so I get to sing the Niall and Harry parts right?" I asked.
"Sure, but I get to sing the Liam parts." Ahnna said.
"Okay, I guess I get zayn's parts." Emily said.
"Well, lets get to recording!" Mary shouted.
"One way or another....." We all sang. We put it on YouTube.(not really, that was someone else)
When the song was over we all high fived each other.
"Don't we need a name?" Emily asked.
"I know! Lets do the Fashionistas!" Mary said.
"Uh, no. That's just a little too girly, maybe..." I started.
"Rock girls?" Emily said.
"No, that limits our song options, as I was saying, maybe we could be the Four Directions?"
"Wouldn't that be a rip off of One Direction?" Ahnna said.
"I like it, and it wouldn't quite be a rip off." Emily mumbled.
"Good, well off to..." I started.
"Wherever One Direction is!" Mary shouted.
"I was thinking a stage, but I think your idea is better."
"Mary, I think that was the best idea you've ever had." Ahnna said.
We all nodded, and smiled as we started to pack our bags.
