Harry's POV

I jump up out of my seat as I hear a car pull up outside, I glance through the window to see my Dad getting out of his car. A smile appears on my face as it's been so long since I've seen him, so I quickly make my way to the door and I open it. He looks up at me, his smile stretched wildly as he opens his arms out to me.

"Hello Son" He grins as he pulls me into him and I hug him back. My Dad's quite stocky and I remember always wishing that I'd fill out like him. Unfortunately I didn't, I followed my Mum more than Dad, but I am sort of in between if that makes sense. "What's with all this hair?" He asks as he pulls away from and me and ruffles my hair up. I shake my head at him as we close the door.

"I'll probably get it cut later." I answer as I run a hand through my messy hair trying to make it a little tidier. Dad laughs and looks up as his eyes lock on to Mum. I watch them as they maturely greet each other and Mum asks if he'd like a drink.

I'm lucky the way my parents handle things, it wasn't all happy at first. It took them a long time to get where they are now, they both were hurting from losing their marriage and things did turn a little nasty. But now, I couldn't be more grateful that they seem to communicate like friends. I have to say from a Son's perspective I am so proud of them.

"So where's Gemma then?"Dad asks as we all walk into the living room, I sit next to him on the sofa.

"She's supposed to be here in about twenty minutes, she won't be long now." Mum answers as she walks into the kitchen to make Dad a drink. I look at him and smile as he turns to me, I can't express how good I feel right now.

"How's London?" He asks and I begin to explain my life now and how different it has become so quickly. "My flat mates are great, they're called Liam and Louis. You'd get on with them." I smirk and he nods pleased.

"How's things been with you Dad?" I ask and he lets out a puff of air as he begins to explain how work is driving him a bit mad. I can't help but laugh as he doesn't have much enthusiasm at all.

"But you know what it's like Harry, we get on with it don't we." He adds and I nod in agreement. "So are you still not back with Stephanie? Your Mum told me you broke up." He asks and I look away as I really wish he didn't ask me that. I'm happy with his company and I feel like that little boy who had everything and life was just great, but now he's brought me back to reality.

"No, we're not back together yet. She needs space.." I answer as I look up at him, I lean forward resting my elbows on my knees, I clasp my hands together.

"Sometimes space is good, especially when a female mentions it. If you don't back off and you keep trying, you seem to push them even further." Dad says and I swear I can hear a tint of disappointment in his voice, he smiles and reaches for my shoulder, gently squeezing me as he adds, "They don't stay mad for long, you just have to use your charm." He winks and I shake my head as that's so typical of my Dad. He always used to charm Mum when she was angry, she could never stay mad at him for long. He knew her favourite flowers, chocolates, musicals and everything else that she loved.

"Yeah there's nothing more I can do, I've backed off now." I answer and my Dad nods just as my Mum walks in and puts the drinks on to the coffee table.

"Is this Stephanie?" She asks referring to our conversation, I nod as I look away hoping she doesn't want to drag the conversation on. "She's a lovely girl now Des." Mum says as she turns to Dad as she sits down.

"I'm sure she is." Des smiles and Mum starts to explain how Steph has become a beautiful young woman and how polite she is. Dad can sense my annoyance as he swiftly changes the subject and asks about Jed, which Mum happily informs him what a lovely young lad he is.

They both stop talking as car pulls up outside, I hope it's Gemma as she's really saved me from hearing anymore about the 'May's' household. Mum quickly jumps up like I did before and walks to the window, she turns round to us and smiles.

"They're here!" She says as she moves away from the window and sits back down. I sit up straight and I wait for the door to open,I feel nervous for Gemma, it must be hard introducing a complete stranger to your family. I've not really had to do it, my parents (more my Mum) have seen girls that I was dating but they were never really introduced as my girlfriend.

Obviously they sort of knew Stephanie so that doesn't count on meeting someone new. I was nervous enough with Mum finding out about us being together, I couldn't imagine the feeling of her meeting a girl she never knew.

"Hii.." Gemma smiles as she walks in and we all look up at her, she's holding hands with a guy who follows her inside. He's very tall and good looking, his dark brown hair is styled up out of his face. He's dressed smart and is quite big built, I suddenly feel like a scruffy little boy compared to him. "Everyone this is Danny. Danny this is my Mum Anne, my Dad Des and my brother Harry." Gemma adds as we all shake hands with Danny. He smiles to me and nods as he says hello.

"Would you like a drink Danny?" Mum asks as Gemma sits down and he sits next to her on the sofa next to me. As they discuss what drinks they're having I try to mentally stay calm about this guy, he seems a lot older by his features and body. My Dad must think the same as me,

"So can I ask how old you are Danny? Gemma hasn't told us much" Dad smiles as he looks to him.

"I'm twenty nine Sir." Danny answers, I knew it! I knew he was a bit older than Gemma. Dad nods and they continue their small talk as Dad tries to get to know a little bit more about him. Gemma looks at me and smiles and I smirk back to her. "I'm a personal trainer and a qualified nutritionist." He adds and I look at him impressed, that explain why he looks like he does.

"Oh brilliant, you'll have to get our Gem working out." Dad teases and Gemma pretends to laugh as she playfully rolls her eyes at him. Danny smiles as he looks back at her and squeezes her hand.

They seem happy and it's so good to see for my sister, she finally looks like she's in a decent relationship with a nice guy. I decide to take the plunge and I turn to him,

"I want to get a bit fitter and eat better, maybe you could help me?" I ask and Danny looks to me and nods, he looks interested as he starts to ask me a couple of questions like if I do the gym. I actually feel embarrassed that I don't, I used to and I loved it but when I went to stay at Stephanie's it all stopped. So I explain exactly that to him.

"Well we can get you back into it mate, I'm happy to help you." Danny smiles and I nod whilst smiling back, I appreciate his enthusiasm and maybe I need someone like Danny to help me get motivated. Gemma looks pleased as I talk a little more with Danny, I'm really pleased I've met him today.

Stephanie's POV

Two more hours to go and I finally have finished my shift. Today has felt like such a drag, but then every Saturday does if I'm not working in the evening. I look around as I watch a few people socialise with their family, friends or partners. They are all free to do whatever they like and here I am stuck here behind a bar, it's not fair.

"Hey" I turn to my left to see Chloe taking a seat. Finally! I have someone to help pass the last few hours. "How are you?" She asks as she leans forward on the bar.

"I'm good now you're here." I smile and she does too. "What have you been up to?" I ask as I start to pour her a lime and lemonade, she always orders that.

"Well I've been trying to do some christmas shopping, which I really hate doing as I never know what to get anyone. But I've managed to get a few bits, town was bloody manic!" She answers as she starts to play with a bar mat. "How's your day been so far?" she asks before I can say anything. I shrug as I place the glass down on the bar and she quickly thanks me as she takes a sip.

"Well, it's been okay but Amy came in today." I pause as Chloe rolls her eyes. "She actually wanted to talk to me, so I gave her a couple of minutes and all she did was apologise it was really out of the blue." I add and Chloe's eyes widen with shock.

"Amy apologised? After all this time?" She asks and I nod. "Hmm, what's she up to?" She mumbles as she takes another sip.

"I genuinely think she just wanted to clear the air, we both admitted we were in the wrong with what happened at college and we just said we'd push everything aside," I say and Chloe looks at me really confused. "We're never going to be friends again, but we've decided to be civilised if we ever did bump into each other. Obviously I'll see her a lot at college." I add and Chloe nods as she looks surprised.

"As long as you're happy Steph. All I can say is I do not trust that girl and I have to keep my wits about her, but you do what's best for you. I'd probably be really worried if you said you'd forgiven her and you were friends again." Chloe answers and I nod as I understand why she feels this way.

"I know, I'm not ever going to go back to how things were before." I answer and Chloe smiles. I let the conversation fall quiet as I don't want to spend all my time talking about Amy.

"So, How are you feeling after what happened with Niall?" She asks and I suddenly feel really nervous. I clear my throat and I look away from her and I start to answer,

"I'm gutted things turned out the way they did. Niall's a lovely guy and whoever ends up finding him shall be so lucky, but we knew we weren't going anywhere. I can't seem to move on like I thought and Harry is forever re appearing in my head. It drives me insane." I answer and Chloe smiles sympathetically.

"Niall is lovely but I knew you'd never be like you were with Harry. He is the one you're always drawn to and I was so worried it was going to end up in tears with you and Niall, but luckily it didn't. Niall's not like many guys out there." Chloe answers and I nod in agreement. "But what's going to happen between you and Harry?" She asks and I shrug as I have no idea where to begin.

"I love him and I want to be with him. But I've told him I just need some time alone at the moment, just so I can clear my head." Chloe nods proudly and I smile as I know how tempting it is to just turn up at Harry's and to pour my heart out to him. But I have to be strong and stick my words.

"I think being on your own shall do you some good, obviously I think you belong together but all in good time right?" She asks and I nod. She starts to smile and I have a feeling she's going to tell me something so I smile back cautiously. "Do you remember that guy I met in London? Zayn?" She asks and I nod, "I'm meeting him tomorrow, I'm introducing him to my parents!" She laughs nervously and my eyes widen.

"But you've not known him long? Are you actually together?" I ask shocked and her cheeks turn a little pinky.

"We've talked about becoming official as I really do like him Steph, when I'm with him I feel so alive. I just want everyone to know that I'm dating this beautiful guy and he actually likes me back!" She says and she runs a hand through her hair. "He's just perfect."

"I didn't really get to meet him properly, my mind was all over the place in London." I answer as I can remember what he looks like, but I don't know anything about him.

"Well maybe we can meet you for drinks? I'll ask Lucy too and you both can get to know him a little bit more? He's so lovely." She says dreamily and I can't help but laugh.

"Okay.." I agree and she looks at me excitedly, I've never seen Chloe get like this about a guy before. She quickly finishes her drink and stands up from the stool. "Where are you going?' I ask.

"Lucy's, I'm going to tell her and then I'm going to Skype Zayn and tell him! I'll text you later babe!" Chloe smiles as she blows me a kiss and leaves, that was the most quickest exit I've ever witnessed, I laugh at her as I start to tidy the bar up.

I soon start to feel my mood drop as I think of Chloe and how happy she seems about Zayn. It's great to see and I'm glad she's found someone who makes her feel good about herself. But it always makes me think of Harry and how he used to make me feel, I once felt invincible when I was with him, nothing else mattered. I really miss feeling like that, I'd do anything to get it back but I know I have to be patient, but my patience isn't one of my strongest points at all.
