One Wild Night - That Started It All
The 'Mystery Girl'
Ashton’s POV
Wow it’s only been 3 days since we left New York… since I left Sam… well maybe since she left me.
I feel like I left a part of me there, a part I didn’t even know I had up until a few days ago.
“Hey man, you just gonna sulk in your bunk all day? I know it’s been a rough few days for you, but come out and play xbox with us,” Luke said to me.
“I don’t know how I even feel right now, I just don’t want to get out of bed right now.”
“Fine, don’t play any games with us, just come out of there and sit with us in the back on the couch. Maybe being around our dumb asses will take your mind off things and even get you to crack a smile!” he told me enthusiastically.
“Alright fine I’ll be right there, just give me a minute.”
“Okay lad, see you back there soon.”
As soon as Luke left, I rolled over, stretched out, and climbed out of my bunk. I slipped into a fresh, clean pair of sweatpants and headed into the back of the bus.
Michael and Luke were playing some game, while Calum was looking through some magazine.
“Well, well, well, look what the cat dragged in,” Michael said when he saw me standing in the doorway.
“Morning sleeping beauty, or should I say good afternoon,” Calum teased before going back to skimming through some celebrity gossip magazine.
“Yea, hi guys,” I responded before plopping down on the couch next to Luke.
“You sure you don’t want to join in Ash?” Luke asked.
“Yea, I’m fine with just watching for now.”
“Ooo, guys get a look at this, Harry is in here! With some mystery girl. The caption says ‘Could Harry Styles be dating a fan?’,” Calum said to all of us. “It says it looks like he went out on some date with a girl that no one has ever seen before. It also says that neither of them commented on who she was or what her relation may be with him.”
“Do they have any pictures?” Mikey asked.
“Yes of course they do, what kind of magazine would they be without pictures,” Calum responded.
“I meant of her, like can you see her face clearly? Maybe its just someone famous in disguise”, Michael replied back.
“Oh well, she had his jacket over her head in this shot, all that you can tell is that she is blonde,” Cal said.
“Let me see that,” Mikey said while taking the magazine from Cal’s hands.
“Well if you had turned the page you would’ve seen a better picture Calum!” Michael told him in a sarcastically rude tone. “Here they are in the car about to drive away and all she has on are a pair of sunglasses to hide her face.”
We all crowded around the picture to get a better look.
“She does look familiar,” Calum said in a puzzled voice.
“Is that-“ Luke began before I cut him off.
“It’s Sam”, I added.
Sam’s POV
As we pulled up in front of my house I said, “Thanks again for everything Harry, and thanks for bringing me home”
“Of course, anytime love. I had a great time getting to know the real you, and I hope you enjoyed yourself as much as I did.”
“Everything was amazing Harry, really. I will never forget our date last night… I will never forget our time together the last few days,” I told him just before leaning in for one last kiss before exiting his car.
“Well it has been my pleasure Sam, call me any-“, Harry began to say before I cut him off.
“Hey listen do you want to come in? We could just watch another movie or something so we don’t have to say goodbye just yet. And plus I’m just going to get interrogated by my mother and with you there maybe it’ll shut her up for a little longer.”
“That sounds great actually. I don’t want to say goodbye just yet either,” he told me with a soft yet reassuring smile.
We both climbed out of the car and walked hand in hand up the path to my house and before I could even get my keys out, my mom was answering the door.
“Hi sweetie! I missed you”, she said pulling me in for a hug practically ignoring the fact that Harry Styles is at her front door.
“And you’ve brought some company I see. Hello Harry, I’m Kathy, Sam’s mother”, she said turning her attention to him.
“Hello ma’am, it’s just lovely to meet you”, Harry replied with his famous charm.
“Well Harry was just going to drop me off, but I thought since he was kind enough to have me stay at his place for the last couple of days, I could at least offer him a drink or snack or something and I was thinking we could watch a movie. So we will be downstairs.”
“Okay sweetheart, I’m going to the gym soon, but I’ll be back in time for dinner, no funny business while I’m gone you two!” She jokingly scolded us.
“OH MY GOSH MOM!!” I said back to her almost mortified and trying to keep myself from blushing. In fact, hearing Harry’s adorable chuckle was the only thing holding that back.
“What?! I was a hormonal teenager once too, and you know I’m only teasing. Parents are supposed to embarrass their kids a little every now and then, aren’t they?”
“Yea, well we are going downstairs now, see you later mom.”
I grabbed Harry’s hand and we walked through my living room.
“I’m just going to put my stuff down in my room, I’ll just be a minute.”
“I can’t see your room?” Harry teased.
“Well it’s just probably really messy”, I said trying to hide the real reason why I didn’t want him going in there.
The truth is, I didn’t want him to get weirded out and think that I am some crazed fan-girl. Luke never noticed when he was in my room, but I have a wall covered in posters and ripped up magazine bits of all the 1D and 5SOS guys.
“Oh please, you got to live in my room for the last couple days, I am going to see your room missy!”
And before I could even stop him, Harry had picked me up over his shoulder and picked my bag up with his free hand and headed straight for my room.
As soon as he opened the door and dropped me down on my bed he stopped and said, “Wow. I don’t think I’ve seen so much of me and the lads in one place before.” And by his blank expression staring at my wall I couldn’t tell if he was either amused or horrified.
“Uh, yea… Jess and I sort of saved anything we thought was cute and just plastered things up on our walls…”
“It’s incredible actually. Oh my gosh! Look how young I was here!” He said pointing to a picture of himself. “I remember that too actually… I remember a lot of these moments really…” Harry said before tracing off and examining my wall closer.
“How about, instead of watching a movie, I tell you about each story I can remember from these photos? I can tell you are a huge fan as well as being a genuinely sweet girl, so how about I give you the ultimate, super personal, fan experience and let you in on some of these memories?” Harry asked me with a giant smile.
“I couldn’t think of anything I’d rather be doing. That sounds amazing!”
So I set my laptop up to play some light music in the background for an amazing story session that would give me the ultimate fan experience.
Luke’s POV
After seeing that article and those pictures in that magazine, there’s no doubt in my mind that that is Sam. All of us were shocked, but Ash… he just looked.. crushed.
“Hey man look, I’m sure there is a good explanation for this, but you also have to look at this rationally. First of all, you sort of only just met her. Secondly, she told me herself you guys set no boundaries and you never made anything official. Lastly, have you even kept in touch with her? You guys left off in a rough spot after she saw you with Karli and then we pretty much had to hit the road again right after. From the little time I got to know Sam, I know she would want you to keep in touch by calling, or texting or something dude!”
“I know, I know, I just really felt a connection with her and I didn’t want to scare her off by telling her too soon… I.. I.. I just didn’t think she would just move on and practically forget about me!” Ash told me seeming both sad and angry.
“Look, before we left I’d like to think me and Sam sorta bonded like friends and she gave me her number to just keep in touch. I’m going to text her and see what’s going on. I’m gonna help you through this man, I promise,” I said as I gave Ash my word.
“Thanks man. I’m just gonna go lay back in my bunk a bit before we need to get ready for the show tonight.”
“Okay, I’ll let you know what she says when I find out whatever I can,” I assured him.
I walked over to my own bunk and plopped myself down to rest before our show as well as to text Sam and get to the bottom of this situation.
From Luke:
Hey, it’s Luke (in case you didn’t save my number lol), how’ve you been? Feel like we haven’t spoken in ages.
From Sam:
Oh hi Luke! I’m actually doing pretty fantastic, though I miss you guys already lol, how are all of you? How’s Ash?
From Luke:
We aren’t too shabby ourselves lol, our next show is in a few hours actually, we are pretty pumped… But Ash is, uh, well he really misses you Sam.
From Sam:
Well he hasn’t shown much interest. He was with that other girl at the party and he hasn’t reached out since you guys left… I’ve actually made a new friend of my own…
From Luke:
Yea, we know, we saw what the magazine printed about Harry and his ‘Mystery Girl’… Look I know it doesn’t seem like Ash is into you, but he really is, he is just scared. I’ve never seen him so broke over one girl before.
From Sam:
WHAT?!? What do you mean? What magazine? I was just out with him, you know getting to know him! He has just been really nice, and it’s been super cool being around all of you, I didn’t think that would make me someone’s girlfriend overnight!
From Luke:
Look, I can’t tell if that’s a lie or not, but if you do have feelings for someone, make them clear, I’m friends with both of them and now you too, so I don’t want to see anyone get hurt.
From Sam:
I guess you’re sort of right, I’m gonna text Ash and see how he is, apologize for making him like this. Maybe I’ll call you tomorrow to see how your show went, see ya Lukey(:

That sounds good, just be gentle with him. And I’ll be waiting for that call(: but Lukey?? Lol I like it

Well I said I'd update this week and I did!! I hope you all are still loving it as much as I am! Next update will be sometime next month(lot's of drama plays out!!!!!!!), and then I hope to keep updating once a month (within the first week of every month) for you guys!
