The Law of The Jungle

I watched as the whole group, or pack I guess, entered. I rolled onto my stomach and stretched. Wow, it was still pretty early in the morning, but I was tried. Breaking up with someone is so much work, I know it had to be done however. I did love Ashton. I think in the back of my mind I always did, I'm sure of it. But I'm 2 years younger than him. I felt like I was just this annoyance to him. But then again, Ashton is very young at heart. I don't think hell ever grow up.

"Are we boring you?" Gabby snorted
I only turned away more and curled into the couch. It was so comfy.
She laughed, called me a couple expletives, and hit me with a pillow. I laughed and took it. I pulled it under me, keeping it from her. She laughed and tried to pull me off.

"We need to go talk about some things," Ashton said
The boys were all serious. I sensed that it was something involving me, but is kept my mouth shut. Honestly, at this point I didn't even want to know. It's not like I could do anything anyway. I didn't stand a chance against a werewolf. I was almost entirely dependent on Ash.

It's not like he cared. I think he liked that I depended on him. He was just that type of guy.
They left me, Gabby, Kasey, and Ryleigh all in the living room. They had gone to the basement, so I'm guessing that the girls were going to try and get me to spill any information that I had.

"What happened?" Ryleigh practically tackled me.
I whined, "didn't they tell you?"
"No," she shook me.
I groaned, "fine, gather round bitches, it's story time,"

They all sat crisscross on the floor. I sat up on the couch, looking down at them all. I grinned,
"Ha, I'm above all of you," I smirked playfully.
"Just get on with the story!" Kasey begged.

"Okay okay," I soothed them, "so the other day, I get home and Ashton's all like, you need to break up with Liam,"
They all nodded.
"so I go to school and shit. I go to Liam and he starts being all nice to me, when I'm trying to break up with him. It was really awkward. And then I finally said it, and he said that if he couldn't have me then no one could, and he chased me until Luke and Ashton saved me."

"We should've expected this," Kasey tsked, "we didn't even warn you,"
"We couldn't have. She wasn't 18," gabby pointed out, "at least you're okay now, and you can finally be with Ashton!"
I blushed and hid my face, causing them to tease me and laugh.

"Oh c'mon, I can't believe that you never saw it!" Ryleigh shook her head.
"I'm sorry I'm stupid," I laughed.
"It was obvious," gabby agreed, "he was so cute with you, I used to be so jealous that he would be like that with you, but then I met Calum and he treated me like that,"

I was still blushing, "oh, I kinda feel bad now,"
"No it's fine," Kasey assured, "like she said, you were really young, and you aren't allowed to know that he's a werewolf or he's your imprint until you're old enough,"
"Why?" I asked

They all shared looks.

"Oh c'mon, you can't keep any other secrets from me now!" I whined.
"No it's just kinda awkward," gabby laughed, "cause the reason is that once you know, the bond really begins to solidify, and that's why you're like feeling all the 'tension' and stuff..."
I snorted laughter, "you're kidding,"

"She's not," Ryleigh laughed, "it's a legit thing, that's why he's so touchy with you now."
"Wow this is really awkward isn't it?" I laughed.
We all laughed awkwardly together for a bit longer before deciding to change the subject.

Ashton's POV


"What would he want with her anyway? He can't feel anything towards her," Michael pointed out, "pretending would be way too much work,"
"He wants her so I can't have her," I growled, "because he wants me dead,"
"Exactly," Calum agreed.
"He must really want you dead then," Luke snorted, "that's a lot of commitment,"

"Fortunately, I want him dead just as much," I stated calmly.
"That should be easy enough," Calum nodded.
"We just need to find out where his pack hangs," Luke added.
"But what do we do with Elle in the meantime," Michael pointed out, "and gabby and Ryleigh and Kasey? They're all in danger when they see him at school."

"Michael's right," I nodded, "I don't think that I'm going to let Elle go to school till we take care of this then."
"That seems a bit extreme mate," Calum commented, "I mean, what if it takes us longer than anticipated? She can't just make up weeks and weeks of school,"
"Well there's no other option," I shrugged, "the only way I can be there to watch her is if she's with me,"
"She's not going to just sit at home ash," Luke snorted, "she's too smart to sit around all day, she'll get bored,"

"I just want her safe," I explained.
"We'll keep an eye on her," Michael said, "I mean, she's attached to the others anyway, well just stay in one group,"

My fists clenched with anxiety. I wasn't too sure of this idea. It's not that I didn't trust them. I did. I would just be lots more comfortable if I were the one with her.
I can't let her get hurt. I need to kill Liam and all of his group.

That's the only way to keep Elle safe.

I agreed with a sigh, and shortly after we decided to go back upstairs. We must have been down there longer than we intended, because we came back up to see them all snuggled together asleep. I smiled. It was so cute. I found myself staring at Elle. She was so pretty, and when she was asleep so looked so innocent and little.

"Aw they didn't leave room for me," Luke joked.

He went over and laid on the floor infront of the couch. I laughed.
I just watched the whole scene for a bit. Michael and Calum had joined him. This was my family. My bestfriends. Nothing would be the same if anyone was missing, everyone in the room was someone that I loved and would protect to the death.

They finally convinced me to lie down on the floor too. I couldn't argue with them. Besides, the floor was very comfortable. It wasn't long before all of us fell asleep.

and it's curgently 10:45 pm where I live, it's snowing, and the people that live behind me are having a fucking snow ball fight in their backyard. I got scared cause I heard screaming and thought someone was getting murdered. Lol just snowball fighting at 10 fucking 45
