The Law of The Jungle

"Did he hurt you?" Calum asked
"No," I shook my head.

Gabby had excused herself out of class to come down and see what happened. She was checking my arms and face for wounds, even though I told them I was fine. I was still thankful for her.

She affirmed my comment and looked up at me, sighing contently. Then she turned and looked at Calum.

"Where's ash?"

He seemed to have come at the sound of his name, because as soon as she finished her sentence, he appeared in the doorway. Luke was behind him.

I hoped off the sink and hugged Ashton. He sighed and rested his chin on my head. I pulled back and looked at Luke.

"Thank you," I smiled greatfully.
He grinned and nodded.
"Let's go home then." Ashton said, "and I wouldn't stick around if I were you either."
The others nodded in understanding. Everyone agreed to meet up at Ashton's house.
They left me and Ashton alone. I looked up at him with my head tilted to the side quizzically.

"What just happened?" I asked
He cupped my cheek, "it's nothing for you to worry about,"
I sighed, "One minute he was happy and then the next he flipped and was chasing me,"
Ashton nodded, "he is a werewolf, but he's dangerous."

We left the school and got in his car. It was weird. I've never skipped before, but at this point I didn't care. It wasn't like I had to worry about my dad catching me and yelling at me for it anymore.
"Ash," I peeped.
He hummed a response, giving my hand a squeeze.
"Why was he trying to kill me?" I asked.

Ashton sighed, "because if you die then I die too,"
I was startled by this information. That was crazy. Why would he die if I died?
He was reading my thoughts again. I could sense it somehow. He affirmed my guess by answering my internal questions.

"Were connected baby," he gave a small smile, "that's just how it goes,"
"Oh," I blushed

He laughed softly, sensing my light embarrassment at the subject. I had always been shy around boys. Most boys didn't talk to me. Boys liked the other girls in my class who were much wilder than me. The confident ones who were popular and up for partying.

I was confident, but I wasn't as out there as they were. I stayed with my group of friends, who were all girls, save for Luke Michael Calum and Ashton whim I'd known since birth.

At the same time, I was well liked in school and rather popular. I did volleyball and softball and student council. I was in honors classes, so I was somewhat isolated from the group of students who went out most nights. I just didn't date. So I didn't even kiss a boy until junior year. It was always annoying to play never have I ever, because I was always teased.

We got home and I flopped down on the couch. Ashton came over and started to tickle me. I squealed and erupted into giggles.

"S- stop," I cried
He laughed, "no this is too cute,"
"Ashton!" I whined, "please stop! I can't breathe!"
"Say 'Ashton is the hottest person I've ever seen'!"
"Fine!" I laughed, "Ashton is the hottest person I've ever seen!"

He laughed more and stopped tickling me. I rolled onto my back so I could look up at him. I was trying to catch my breath and still laughing at the same time. He grinned. I crossed my arms and looked away playfully.

"Aw c'mon baby girl," he cooed placing soft kisses on my cheek.
I ignored him, so he started to kiss my neck.
He was smirking as I tried to keep myself from wiggling or making any noise. It was so hard.
He bit down and I gasped.
"Ash!" I squeaked.

His smirk broadened and he leant back up. His face was inches from mine. I smiled and closed the distance, kissing him passionately.

"Youre going to be the death of me," he mumbled.
I giggled and bit my lip.
"I love you ash," I grinned.
"I love you too," he smiled sweetly.

Our little moment continued until we were interupted by a knock on the door. He groaned, causing me to laugh.
"Well go answer it!" I nudged him.
He rolled his eyes playfully, "to be continued..."
