Behind Enemy Lines

"Um...excuse me?" A feminine voice asked.
Hayley turned and saw a girl with beautiful dark skin that matched her big brown eyes and long brown hair. She gave a small smile when Hayley turned and aknowledged her.
"Hello," Hayley smiled

"Hi, my name is Maria," She introduced herself, "My boyfriend is Michael, and you must be Hayley right?"
"That's me," Hayley grinned, "Nice to meet you,"
"it's nice to finally meet you too, Calum talks about you a lot,"
Hayley giggled, "He does?"

She nodded with a huge grin, "yeah, it's really cute,"
Hayley was blushing really hard, "I don't even know what to say,"
Maria smiled, "Well I guess I better head home"
"Are you sure?" Hayley tilted her head to the side, "I'm gonna head to starbucks, do you want to come along?"

Her smile grew, "I'd like that a lot,"
They started walking and talking together.
"Oh and one more thing," She said
"What is it?" Hayley asked
"Do you mind calling me by my nickname, Luz?"
Hayley grinned and nodded, "Sure, nice to meet you Luz,"
"Nice to meet you too," She giggled back.

Hayley was trying to study for her physics test when she was interrupted. Her phone vibrated. It was a text from an unknown number

Calum: I'm outsideeee come see me

She went over to the window and pulled the curtains to the side. Sure enough she spotted his black range rover down the street. She opened her window and peeked her head out. She looked down at saw him.
"Calum!" She whisper shouted, "what the actual hell are you doing at my house?"
He laughed as he looked up at her with crossed arms, "up for an adventure?"

"It's 9 at night," she shook her head.
"Oh c'mon, I think you can handle one night," he smirked, "it'll be fun,"
"Fine," she huffed, "I'll be down in a second,"
She closed her window and grabbed shoes. She was absolutely crazy for doing this, but she didn't care.

She ran down the stairs without fear because her father was not home. She decided to write a quick note, saying she was out with Jackie and she didn't know when she'd be home.
She left, making sure to lock the door behind her.

"Hi princess," He grinned, kissing her.
"Hi Cal," She giggled, standing on her tiptoes to kiss him.
"Where are we going?" She asked
"You'll see," He smirked

"I feel like I'm going to regret this decision" She muttered.
He laughed, "You need to get out more,"
"No I don't," She argued, "I'm just fine how I am,"
He smiled, "Yeah, but you'd have so much more fun if you just let go sometimes,"
She got into his car and they drove off into the night.

"What is this place?" She asked when they pulled up to the opening of the woods.
He grinned, "I told you that you would see,"
"I feel like I'm in a horror movie," She whined
He laughed, "okay I can see why but I promise that you won't die,"

"Oh thanks," She laughed along, "Thats assuring,"
They got out and walking further in together. He interlocked his hand in hers. As they got closer she noticed a dull glow coming from the woods. As they got closer it got brighter, and people's voices got louder.

"Who's here?" She asked
"Just some friends," He responded, "Don't worry, they won't tell,"
She decided to just nod. Sure she was a little scared that they would get caught, but she figured if he trusted them then he was right.

They came to the clearing and Hayley saw a bonfire. There were some people around it. Right off the bat, she noticed Michael and Luz curled up infront of the fire together. She smiled at how cute they looked.
"ayyee," Michael grinned, "What's good mate?"

"Nothing," Calum shrugged.
"Hi there love," He greeted Hayley.
"Hello," She gave a small smile.

Calum settled down infront of the fire as well, and tugged her down onto his lap. She knew the other guys there were still curious about her. They didnt seem to recognize her, which was a good sign.

Hayley looked over at Luz and smiled. Luz gave a subtle wave in response. As far as they knew, the boys had no idea they spent after school in starbucks together. Well they sat in starbucks for a little, but then went to the school park not far away and swung on the swings together. It was a cool day.

"Calum you want a beer?" Michael asked
Calum nodded and Michael tossed him a bottle. Hayley eyed him carefully.
"Only one, I promise," He mumbled assuringly in her ear.
She nodded, "okay,"

Hayley was having a good time, just enjoying being able to sit with Calum. Not to mention that Michael was telling some pretty funny stories that had them all laughing. Calum looked down at the small girl on his lap. He wrapped his arm around her waist and kissed her cheek. She nuzzled closer to him contently.

Suddenly, Calum noticed that Michael was caught a little off guard.

"Ashton," Michael greeted nervously, "what are you doing here?"
Calum grimaced and turned around.

Sure enough, Ashton was there.
