Fall In Love Again

My heart thumps in my chest.

Is he really coming back to Cheshire? No doubt if he does he'll make his way back to the bakery, where I work everyday.

My heart is almost exploding as I continue to scroll down twitter.

This can't be happening. Seeing him will be too much.

I lock my phone and slide it into my pocket. "Mom! Dont want to be late, Im leaving now!"

"alright, Hun. Have a nice day at the bakery!" My mom calls out.

I grab my coat and step out into the chilly air, and start walking to the bakery.

I arrive in about 15 minutes.

i step inside the bakery, the door dinging when I step in. I hang up my coat and grab my apron.

I quickly tie my apron on, then step into the kitchen.

"Destini, honey, someone's at the counter. I've got this batch," Barbara says.

i then walk out to the counter, grabbing my notepad to write down orders.

"Hi, what can I get you?" I ask, not looking up from the notepad.

"Um, I came to see Barbara," he says.

I freeze. It's him. I know it's him. I can't tell by that deep, deep voice and thick British accent.

"Alright, I'll get her for you," I mutter and walk back into the kitchen.

"Barbra, h- Harry is here to see you," I stutter.

"Oh, honey. I know it brings back memories. Watch that batch of cupcakes while I go talk to him, alright?" She asks.

"yeah," I say.

She walks out into the main room of the bakery, and I hear lots of cheering.

"um, Destini dear, can you come take this mans order while I talk to Harry?" Barbara shouts.

"yeah, be out there in a sec!" I yell back.

I get to the kitchen door, but then stop when I hear Harry and Barbara talking.

"She still works here?"

"yeah, never stopped since you left."

"I miss her,"

"she almost couldn't hold herself together when you showed up,"

silence.

I take that as my chAnce to walk out.

"Hey, where's that customer?"

i can tell this is going to be a very long week.
