Same Mistakes

Four

Niall's hands sweat rapidly as Jordan is called to the stand. He watches as she sits. Her hands folded on the table. Her eyes on him, but her attention on the Judge.

''Okay, Miss Butler, tell me what you think of this whole thing..be hoenst.''He asks her.

''its stupid.''she mumbles into the microphone.

''Why do you figure that?''He asks.

''Because..there is no reason why he needs to take my children from me. We were perfectly fine until...''She prevents herself from saying anything else.

''until what?''Judge Miller asks.

''Until he cheated on me.''She sighs out.

''Do we have evidence?''He asks.

''A lot.''

''Do you have anything to say before we ask if you could present it?''The judge asks her.

''Yes.I would love to ask Niall something.If you don't mind.''Jordan says.

''Okay, go ahead.Once you're done you can exit the stand.''

In the microphone, she clears her throat as she looks dead into Niall's blue eyes. The eyes both of her kids have.

''I would like to know why you get mad at me for taking my kids to another man's house, but you think its okay if you take them around another woman.''She says with sass to her voice.

''And no telling me where you were all day long.''She adds, making sure she looked over at him again before standing.

She stands, and walks back to the table, not making eye contact with any one. She sits down beside Sara.

''Your honor, Our evidence is hard to present.''Sara says.

''Why is that?''

''Its not here.Its in the daycare.''She smiles gently.

''You mean the kids?''He asks.

''Just the oldest.''Sara informs him.

''okay, Miss Butler, you may go get them. Have some one trustful to assist you please.''Judge Miller tells her and she nods.

''I'll stay here and figure out our argument details.''Sara says and Jordan nods lightly as she stands up.

Jordan's eyes scan the crowd of people and suddenly..she meets brown eyes that are too familiar. She realizes then..that Liam is on her side. Literally.

She smiles gently and he nods and stands.He follows her down the aisle.

As they walk, Niall watches them. They have left the court room now. They are off to get Jenna. And possibly..bust Niall out for what he's done.

This is when he fully realizes that it wasn't Jordan's fault. Or Harry's. It was his.

About five minutes later, Liam comes into the room holding Dawson. Niall hears that giggle and turns around to see his son being held by his ex-best friend. Right now, he has no friends..

Not even he is his own friend..

He watches as Jordan walks Jenna to the stand. She sits with Jenna in her lap and prepares to answer any questions asked to her. Jenna has to answer some as well.

''Hi there Jenna.''Judge Miller says.

She waves and he smiles at her cuteness, like most people do.

''Do you know this lady?''Sara asks as she approaches the floor. She shows Jenna a picture of Ellie.

Jenna nods.

''Who is she?''Sara asked. Its good Sara has gotten to know Jenna over the past few months, otherwise Jenna wouldn't be talking, she'd be too shy.

'' 'Dat Daddy's friend. He said she was secret.''She tells off.

Niall rolls his lips in as Jordan looks over at him.

He doesn't make eye contact with her, he stares at the floor.

''Has she talked to you? Has she took you any where?''Sara says.

''Yes. She took me for ice cream with Dada.''She mumbles.

''What else?''Sara asks kindly.

''She 'tole me to call her Mama. But I said no.''Jenna admits.

Jordan's eyes hit towards Niall.

He looks at her..his heart stopped.

''Mr.Horan..is this true?''Judge Miller asks.

''Yes.But I swear on my life I didn't know about the whole mom thing. I swear Jordan.'' He says and looks over at Jordan's cold expression towards him.

''Looks like this will take a long time.''Judge Miller says into the mic.

''I need the truth Mr.Horan.''He adds.

''i promise your honor..I don't know a thing about that..''Niall says as he stands up.

''I don't believe that.''Jordan says.

''Neither do I.''he hears his mom's voice says. He turns around to see her standing with her hand raised and also to see that she has relocated...to Jordan's side, and was sitting beside Liam.

That broke his heart. But yet, he wouldn't blame her. He'd do the same..

if he could.

''Yes?''Judge Miller asked her.

''May I come up and say a few things?''She asks.

''Yes.Go ahead.''He nods and she nods back as she makes her way in front of every one.

Jordan and Jenna go back to the table, Sara does too.

Every one becomes quiet...
