Mia's POV:

Today was the day. I am finally moving away from this town. Too much has happened here for me to stay. Mom and Charlie are pretty upset but they're happy too. Charlie is going to community college in town because he doesn't want to leave mom alone and he doesn't really want to leave. Why would you when your life is perfect. I guess you could say my life is pretty great too. I have a great family, a great best friend, and I'm going to my dream college.

"Mia! Grab the rest of your stuff it's time to go!" I hear my mothers voice crack. We're moving all the way across the country and only coming back on breaks. I would cry too if my daughter were leaving for this long.

"Coming!" I yell and look at my half empty room.

I run downstairs and see everyone there. Mom, Charlie, Brooke, and Brooke's parents. We all get in the car and drive to the airport.

"Okay, so you have what you need for the first couple days and we're mailing you the rest and should be there by Friday." Brooke's mother says and starts tearing up.

"Yes mom, we'll be okay! I promise! We'll call when we land okay? I love you!" Brooke says and hugs her parents.

"If you need anything or if some boy hurts you and you have one of those movie relationships, let me know and I'll fly out and kick his ass. I am still the older one." Charlie boasts.

"By three and a half minutes loser." I say back.

"Whatever." He says and hugs me really tight.

"I love you sis."

"I love you bro."

My mom has been crying and watching us this whole time.

"Mom it's okay I'll come home soon!" I say and hug her.

"I know baby its okay." She cries onto my shoulder.

"We should get going." Brooke says looking at her phone. We say our last goodbyes and head into the airport.

By the time we get to New York it's about 3 in the afternoon. We head straight to our apartment. Which Brooke's parents paid for because they insisted because they're also rich, unlike my family.

The apartment is huge and more like a penthouse than an apartment.

"Oh my god." Brooke and I say at the same time. We drop our bags and start running around.

"MIA! THIS IS GOING TO BE MY ROOM OKAY? YOU CAN HAVE THE ONE RIGHT NEXT TO IT!" Brooke yells even though I'm already in my room, the one that's next to hers.

The next morning all of our stuff starts coming in even though it wasn't supposed to until Friday. Damn worried mothers. I open the door to let the movers in and I hear voices down the hall so I call Brooke down to go see them.

"Look lads new neighbors! Let's go meet them!" Someone yelled. Looks like they are coming here first well alright then.

We go to the kitchen to pretend we didn't hear anything and wait for their arrival.

"Did they sound British to you?" Brooke asked me right as someone knocked on the door even though it was open. Five pretty attractive boys walked in and we knew who they were right away.

"Hi I'm Louis, this is Niall, that's Zayn, Liam, and Harry." Of course we knew who they were oh my god. Brooke and I were just staring when Brooke finally says "I'm Brooke, she's Mia, we just moved from Colorado and we're going to college at NYU." Well played dear friend. Well played.

"Nice, so how old are you guys?" Liam asked.

"19." We both said. They all nodded.

"We know who you are." I laughed. They laughed back. Niall the loudest. Although Brooke and I don't really like them that much, they're all super hot.

"You guys should come over for dinner, since you just moved in you probably don't have any food here." Niall asked not being able to take his eyes of Brooke.

"Sure, what time?" Brooke said.

"7ish?" Zayn said.

"Okay cool. We'll be there." I said and they walked out.

We walked back to the kitchen.

"Hey Mia?"

"Yeah?"

"We live next door to One Direction." We screamed.

This is not going to end well.
