Ariana's POV



"Ariana, come on," Shane scolds me. I roll my eyes as I put on my new heels. I step in front of the mirror, looking at my appearance. After feeling satisfied with how I look, I grab my handbag from my bed and walk down the stairs.

"You look sexy," Shane sends a wink at my direction. I absolutely love this girl!

I don't get along too well with other female singers, they seem to hate me too much. I'm not complaining though, I stayed in contact with most of my friends from high school, and we stick together through thick and thin. Especially Shane and I. We've been friends for 11 years now and I can not ask for a better friend than her.

Most celebrities have famous friends, but not me. I guess Shane is a little bit famous by now, being that she's my closest friend and the media sees us together all the time. She's a normal girl, with a normal life. And I'm happy for that. She's never too busy for me, and she understands that I am busy with my career. But she travels with me all the time, she's dating my lead guitarist, so it's a bonus on both sides for her.

"We're going to be late Ariana," Shane scolds me again.

"Coming!" I shout back as I stuff my mouth with more pizza bites.

We're going to the VMA awards tonight, and I'll be honest, I don't feel like going. I'm exhausted from rehearsal today and I didn't get much sleep in last night, being that Shane and I went clubbing.

I grab another slice of pizza and practically run to the door, locking it once I've stepped out of the apartment. I walk to the exit gates to find Shane standing by the limo we have to leave with. I roll my eyes at Shane's annoyed look at me stuffing my face with pizza. I slip into the limo and take other bite of my pizza, finishing it. There's no napkins, so I wipe my hands on my dress.

"Don't do that!" Shane scolds me again as the car starts moving.

"God, sometimes you act like my mother," I roll my eyes at her as I continue chewing on the food in my mouth.

"Ariana," she groans. "You shouldn't eat just before an event, you'll look fat!" She sighs.

I shrug at her reaching for the bottle of champaign but I'm met with a hand slapping mine.

"After the event," Shane points her finger at me.

I shrug and pull out my phone going through some twitter updates.

"Do you think One Direction will be there tonight?" Shane asks excitedly.

I roll my eyes at her shrugging. "Probably,"

She has a thing for One Direction. I've never met them, but I don't like them. Their music is alright, but I don't think I'll like them in person. The Irish one is cute though.

"We're here," the driver informs us. Shane opens the door walking to the driver, talking to him about something. I put my phone away and throw my handbag over my shoulder stepping out of the car.

I'm met with flashing lights and screaming. I turn away from the lights waiting for Shane to join me before I walk down the red carpet. Shane joins me and gives me a warm smile.

"So remember," she pauses looking at the fans "stand for a few photos, talk with a few fans, talk to some reporters, then leave. You only have 5 min- Ew Ariana!" She stops herself mid sentence. "You have pizza on your face!" She whispers as she removes the pizza from my face.

I bite my lip trying not to laugh, but I fail and earn a disapproving look from Shane.

"Let's go," she sighs as she pulls me to the crowd.
