My Protector

Chapter One

I walk into the small little townhouse I call home, after a long night of partying with my friends knowing tomorrow I will have to depart for college. "Mom! Brantley! I'm home!" I walk around the house as I see my mother sitting on the sofa watching tv. "Mom didn't you hear my calling you?" I say approaching the couch seeing that my mother had, had her throat slit. I gasp as tears trail down my face. I walk upstairs to see if my brother was ok. "Brantley! Brantley!" I scream his name while running up the stairs as I call 9-1-1.

"9-1-1 what's emergency?" a man with a scruffy voice says with calm in his voice.

"My mom she dead and I.." I cried into the phone soon to be replaced by a scream as I find my brother's dead body.

"Ma'am? Are you there?" the man asks.

"My brother! He's..dead my mother and my little brother are all dead." I sob

"Ma'am just stay calm how can I stay calm?"

Just then I see a hooded man walks from behind a corner with a knife in his hand. He starts to run towards me but I run the opposite way. I let out a loud scream as he trips me he tries to stab. I struggle for dominance as I roll on top of him I reach for the lamp that sat on a table and bust him over the head with it and ran up the stairs. He grabs onto my leg and tip me down the steps he stabs me in my leg making me holler out in pain. I kick him in the face as I stumble up the stairs running into the closest room hiding under the bed.

I cover my mouth and breathed cautiously as I saw the door open slowly. I see the black boots walking around the bed as I panicked trying to keep my noise volume to a minimum. I see him look under the bed as his eyes meet mine he flips the bed. I run out of the room as I feel a strong grip pull me back. I claw his face and he stabs me in my lower stomach. I stumble off trying to run away but I flip down the stairs landing on my back.

I look up as my vision starts to blur to see him slowly walking down the stairs towards me I roll over and grab my brother's bat as I swing and hit him over the head with it. I hear sirens and I start to run out of the house. I run into the street waving my hands in the air as the cars get closer. Suddenly I fall to the ground as darkness fills my eyes.
