Leave Your Lover
Chapter 33
Vivian's POV
"This is where you live?" I turned to Liam in my car seat. He gave me a small smile and nodded gently.
"I share the house with Niall actually," he informed me before he got out of the car.
As I looked at the beautiful wooden two building house in front of me, I blushed. After I told Liam I love him, he asked me if he could show me something at his house. He seemed eager about it, he said something about it might help my situation. If he referred to my memory loss, I was eager about that too. There's nothing I wanted more than gaining my memory. Liam opened my door for me and held his hand out with a breathtaking smile. I placed my hand in his and allowed him to help me out of the car. He locked the car and laced our fingers as we walked onto the front steps of his house. He took a set of keys from his pocket and fidgeted with it for a few seconds before the door swung open. I blinked a few times as we entered a bright living room. Soft snores came from a sofa where Niall was laying on. Liam softly chuckled before picking a blanket up that was laying on the floor. He threw it over Niall's sleeping body and switched the TV off before walking past me. I watched him as he locked the door of the house. He walked over to me with that breathtaking smile that I've grown to love. I gazed around the room and Liam took my hand in his. Everything seemed so familiar to me.
"Come on, I want to show you something," Liam whispered in my ear. His lips met mine for a brief second before he pulled me into a hallway by my hand. As we walked through the hall, I looked at photos in frames that covered the wall. The first few was of people I didn't know, but somehow recognized. The others was of him and his friends, along with a few with me. We looked so happy together, intact, we looked perfect together. I smiled at a picture of us kissing next to the same dam we spent the day at. We stopped in front of a door and Liam opened it slowly. It made a few squeaks as he opened it. A light was switched on, allowing me to see the room. I walked past Liam and stood in the middle of the room. Liam left me alone, though I could hear his breathing in the doorway. I looked at the walls, the bed, the sofa, the television, the door which I knew led to a bathroom, a bookshelf, and lastly, my eyes landed on wide curtains. I made my way to the curtains and pulled them open. They revealed a balcony. I placed my hand on the knob and shook as I turned it. As soon as the glass door opened, cold air hit me. I shivered but walked outside. I walked past a table with two chairs, a set that I loved. As I reached the end of the balcony, I laid my hands on it and gazed down. I looked at a swimming pool that was underneath me, flowers covered most of the big yard. A soccer ball laid underneath a night light. I felt something underneath my hand on the balcony and frowned as I looked down.
"To my love, Liam, I will always love you. No matter what. Yours truly, Vivian xo"
Was the words carved into it. I gasped and moved away from the words. As I turned around, I was met with Liam's frowning face.
"Come on," he held his hand out for me once again. I studied him as he put his weight on the glass door. He gave me a reassuring smile, which made my heart thump like crazy. I made my way to him and allowed him to lace our fingers. He led me into a walk-in closet and left my hand, once again he rested his body against a wall. The light in the small hallway was turned on, revealing walls covered with photos. I started with the first few next to me, a sob escaping from my lips. I touched the photos gently, afraid that if I touched it too much the picture might disappear. All of the photos, every single one of them in that tiny hallway, was of Liam and I. Photos where we looked younger, photos where we looked older, more about the same age we are now. Photos where we showed so many different kinds of emotions. The tears fell in the moment that I looked at the next photo.
Memory after memory. It hit me. Everything about Liam and I came back to me. Our first kiss, the first time I met him, the first time he smiled that beautiful smile, the first time he told me he loves me, the night he asked me to be his fiance, fights, nights we cried together, days we laughed together. Everything.
I sunk down onto the floor, crying heavily. Liam's arms folded around me, rocking me from side to side. Sobs escaped my lips followed by hiccups every now and then. Liam pulled away from me, he held my face in his hands as he brushed my cheek gently.
"There is no one I will ever love more than I love you, Vivian." He kissed my temple after his soft words. "Do you understand that?" He whispered against my skin. I sobbed again, hugging his body tighter. I cried for minutes simply because I broke his heart after he gave me so many memories. He picked me up by my legs, folded them around his torso and walked me to his bed. He left me for a brief second to switch off the lights then joined me again. The light next to his bed was turned on, creating a soft glow in the beautiful grey room. He pulled me to his chest and cooed me, making all the sadness fade and all the happiness return. "Please," he whispered into my ear. I knew what he wanted, and I loved that he did. To be honest, there's nothing I wanted more in that moment than to give him what he wanted.
Three simple words which means everything to the two of us.
"I love you Liam," I said with a one second laugh. He sigh and kissed my face a few times. Once I caught sight of his face, I started crying with him. He laid me down on my back and hovered over me as the tears fell from his smiling face. I brushed his cheeks, he combed my hair softly.
"I love you so much," he sobbed as he kissed my nose. His tears fell onto my cheeks, mixing his with mine.
"I love you too," I sobbed with him. His hands roamed my body, mine tangled in his hair.
In that moment, everything felt perfect. Liam kissed my neck, my arms, my face, then my hands as the tears continued on our smiling faces.
Tears of happiness.
"Be mine forever?" He begged. I nodded into his neck, a bit too eagerly. He chuckled and wiped my tears away as I wiped his.
"I love you," we said at the same time, causing both of us to laugh softly.
