Two Hours Later

Luke’s P.O.V.

We only had one song left, and I was really eager to get it over with. Although I didn’t want her romantically, Alice was a really nice girl and I couldn’t wait to go to her house after the party. I have to admit, I was a little jealous when I found out that Calum had already gotten to her if ya know what I mean. I hadn’t even gotten one kiss in! But I could tell that they liked each other by the grins that never left their faces that night, so I was happy for them.

It looked like Kate and Ashton were hitting off great as well. They had hardly left each other’s side. I didn’t think that they had kissed yet, but they were certainly on that path.

We had all been standing in a group talking and joking around when John came up. “All right boys! Last song! Let’s make it count,” he said encouragingly. We said goodbye to the girls and walked up to the stage. Once we had finished getting ready we walked up to our mics.

“We would just like to say one last congratulations to the Whitemans!” I said and everyone clapped and whistled as the couple shared a kiss. “This is our last song of the night. Thank you so much for putting up with our crazy hair and our tight pants,” I said, gesturing to the black skinny jeans that John had let us change into as long as we kept our dress shirts into. The crowd laughed at my lame attempt at humor. “This is Don’t Stop:”

As soon as we finished we said a quick thank you and let the crew pack up the instruments as we practically ran over to Alice and Kate.

“Let’s go!” said Michael.

“All right, all right, don’t get your panties in a wad,” Alice muttered to us as she thanked all of the guests on their way out. “I just have to make sure that everyone is getting out of here on time and that the Whiteman’s are happy.”

“We’ll take care of the guests, and you go get the Whiteman’s,” said Calum, also eager to leave the party.

“Ok, ok, Jesus! Calm down! The party wasn’t that bad,” she giggled as she walked away with Kate.

After they were gone Michael spoke up. “You are one lucky asshole,” he said to Calum.

“I know right? I didn’t think that she would actually like me! Well I still don’t honestly…” he said unsure of himself.

“Haha, she seemed to like you just fine earlier tonight!” I chuckled, earning a smack across the head from Calum.

“Come on let’s finish up with the guests so we can hang out with Kate and Alice,” said Ashton eagerly.

“Awww!” we said in unison. “Does Ashton have a wittle cwush on Katie?” said Michael in a baby voice. Ashton shoved him with a muttered “shut up” which only made us laugh harder.

“I don’t blame you mate, that is one fine piece of ass there,” I said, looking after Kate. It was true! Most of Alice’s friends that we had seen tonight were really hot.

I got a warning glare from Ashton for that remark and I put my hands up defensively. “She’s all yours mate calm down,” I said with a slight chuckle.

“Yeah well even so I want you all to know that we are going out tomorrow and there’s nothing you can do about it,” trying to squash any hopes that we had of ‘getting with his girl’ or whatever.

The rest of us smirked at his protectiveness and went back to thanking the guests and politely ushering them to the door.
