Chapter 3

Kaitlyn POV

“I can’t believe we are going on tour!” Spencer squealed.

The girls had been as excited as I was when I told them we were going on tour. Whether it was for the traveling or spending several months with their favorite boy band I don’t know. I was used to their fangirling by now. I couldn’t blame them either even though I knew most of the boys well I still fangirled a bit much to Liam’s displeasure. I had been kind of wary of befriending fans in the beginning but I knew Sarah and Spencer weren’t using me to get to the boys.

Spencer paced back and forth in my bedroom. Our suitcases stood packed by the door. We were set to fly to the Europe today for the first leg of the tour. Liam was supposed to be home any minute to pick us up. We were meeting the other boys at the airport. Sarah just sat on my bed looking a little shell shocked. I sat behind her and started to play with her hair pulling it into little braids waiting for Liam to arrive. She gave me a slight smile.

“Honey I’m home!” Liam’s voice boomed through the apartment.
I rolled my eyes before turning to the door.
“I’m in here.” I called.
I heard Liam bustle towards the door. I was about to warn him about the suitcases when he came crashing through the door. Tripping over the suitcases Liam fell onto my carpet.
“What the hell Kaitlyn are you try to kill….” Liam trailed off noticing the girls in my room. His cheeks turned a light shade of pink. I nudged Sarah and just got a glare in response. So much for that relationship becoming reality anytime soon, they were both in denial.

“Hi Liam.” Spencer greeted breaking the awkward staring contest between Liam, Sarah and I.
He looked up at her finally taking his glare off of me.
“Hi.” He said with a smile pushing himself into a standing position. He rubbed his hands together.
“So are you guys ready to go?” He asked.
I got up off the bed and walked up to him.
“We’ve been ready for 3 hours brother dearest.” I teased patting his cheek.
Liam’s response was just to stick his tongue out at me, how mature.

“Where are they?” I asked the girls somewhat frantic.

My eyes scanned the airport. People bustled in and out of the airport but I couldn’t see Liam. I craned my neck but still couldn’t see over the crowds. Heading to the bathroom probably wasn’t the best idea. I suddenly felt someone grab me from behind. Several situations flashed through my brain none of them good. I opened my mouth and let out an earsplitting scream. All I heard was laughter. The girls were looking at me with smiles. I elbowed my captor in the side and they finally let go. Turning I saw Niall with a huge smile on my face. I punched him in the arm.

“You scared the shit out of me.” I seethed.
“Kaitlyn language.” Liam scolded.
Sending him a glare I turned back to Niall. “That was not funny Niall James Horan you better behave on the airplane or you will never hear the end of it.” I scolded Niall. Niall just smirked.
“Well, well, well I guess we have a mommy Direction. Although because Liam is daddy direction we might have to call you aunty.” I heard stated from behind me.
“Harry.” I exclaimed and gave him a hug. “It’ll be more like having a second Louis around.” Niall muttered loud enough that everyone could hear him. The rest of the group froze trying to judge my reaction on Louis’ name being brought up. “Take it back.” I stated poking him in the chest with every syllable.
Niall just smirked.
“No, you are just like Louis Kit-Kat.” He teased.
“I am not!” I exclaimed jumping on his back.
“Take it back, take it back.” I chanted repeatedly hitting Niall in the head bouncing up and down.

I was pretty sure I was proving Niall’s point but I didn’t care. His accusation was one I had heard a million times before. People always assumed Louis and I would be best buddies because they claims we’re similar. Apparently our shared love of life is enough for people to call us the same. People just don’t realize that maybe having things in common doesn’t make people get along. Liam often expressed to me that maybe Louis and I were just too similar to get along. We get annoyed at the mannerisms of each other and yet display them ourselves.

“Wow Kaitlyn jumping Niall’s bones already? And screaming my name?” A voice pierced through the air. I would have known the voice anywhere. Jumping off of Niall I sauntered towards Louis. “You wish.” I scoffed raising an eyebrow.
“There will be no boning anyone on this trip.” Liam stated from behind me. I noticed the quick glance he got in Sarah’s direction. She didn’t appear to notice though. If my suspicions were correct Liam would be breaking his own rule by the end of this. I also noticed Zayn’s proximity to Spencer.
“We’re all adults brother dearest.” I stated. “But don’t worry no one in this wannabee boy band has my interest.”
Seeing the boys’ faces I grabbed Spencer’s arm and strode off towards security.

“Why can’t we go to the hotel first?” Niall whined from beside me.
I was squished between Niall and Liam on the way to where the our bus was parked. Apparently we were supposed to get settled in the bus before heading to the hotel. I was staring excitedly out of the window at the bright lights and canals of Amsterdam. Whether because they were cheap or were trying to give us a chance to settle in they had flown us to Amsterdam and were driving us up to Denmark. After Denmark we had several days on the bus before the next concert in Oslo. The Amsterdam concert wasn’t for another 2 weeks. This tour was more stretched out. It would be nice for seeing the places we visit but not convenient for the fact that I had to go back to school in 3 months.

“We will go to the hotel after this. We just need to make sure the tour bus works.” Paul’s reassuring voice said from the front.
I continued to stare at the passing landscape until Paul pulled into a large parking lot. He stopped in front of a bus that was obviously the tour bus. The looming vehicle was double deckered and clearly stated one direction on the side. Piling out of the car we made our way inside. The interior was all done up in red and black. Beds lined the front and as I looked through I could see the living room in back.

“Make sure you choose a bed you like.” Paul stated. “One I put your name on it is is permanent for this leg of the tour. No bed swapping like last tour.”
I went to grab my purse to claim a bed before realizing I had left it in the car. Wanting to be quick I dashed out of the bust and through the still warm Dutch air to the van. Grabbing my purse I hurried back. Paul was sticking index cards in plastic sleeves marking who’s bunk was who’s.

“Ah Kaitlyn you dashed off. There appears to be one left.” He stated. “Put your name on it and head back to the van.”

I grabbed the card from his and scribbled my name on it. I stuck it into the empty plastic sleeve on the top bunk closest to the living room. I saw that Niall was across from me. The others started filtering out of the bus. I shot a glance and had to take a double take at the name written on the card. Hearing the flush of the toilet Louis emerged back into the room. The silence around me echoed the fact that is was just the two of us. I shot a glance between him and the name card and saw him do the same. For it was neatly printed on the index card below mine, Louis.

“How’d you let it happen?” I pouted at Liam.
I fell back onto the mattress of our hotel room. Sarah and Spencer were sharing so I was in with Liam. I was still caught up in the bunk situation. I couldn’t see why Liam was subjecting me to several weeks of sharing a bunk bed with Louis.
“I didn’t mean to. I didn’t realize till Paul put Niall’s card in that it was Niall’s bag and not Louis’.” He stated telling me that was the end of that conversation. I groaned and rolled out of bed. “I’m going to see Sarah and Spencer.” I stated. Liam just shrugged his shoulders.

I had made my way down the hallway muttering under my breath. I knocked on their door and Spencer opened it and greeted me with a smile.
“What is it now?” She teased. “Or is it still the Louis thing?”
My face must have told the whole story.
“Still the Louis thing.” Spencer commented.
I slipped into their room behind her and saw Sarah resting against the headboard watching tv. “There’s a Friends marathon on want to join?” She asked lifting the covers slightly. I slipped in beside her and lost myself in the mindlessness.
