Enchanted

Atlanta, Georgia

Tomorrow. Tomorrow was the day that I had been waiting for ever since December of last year. As I looked through the shirts in front of me, I chewed on my bottom lip as my eyes landed on one in particular. It was a black dress tank top with bright flowers decorating it, the back hanging lower than the front. Normally I wouldn't dress up but this was One Direction's concert, and my outfit had to be perfect. I walked over to where the jeans were located and began looking through them, tilting my head to the side as I pulled out a pair of skinny jeans. My nose scrunched up as I let out a small sigh. They were absolutely adorable, but I didn't have the legs for skinny jeans. Shifting back and forth on my feet, I finally decided I would try something new. At the register I paid the woman for both the jeans and tank, before offering her a small smile and walking out of Goody's.

Pressing the unlock button on my keys, I walked over to my trunk and pulled it up, sitting the shopping bag down. I reached up and shut my trunk, the smile still lingering on my lips as my thoughts went to tomorrow night. Walking over to the driver's side, I opened the door and got in. I pulled my phone out of my back pocket and saw that I had a message from Lauren. Violet was my first go to, seeing as she was my best friend, but she refused to go because she didn't like One Direction. My next choice was Lauren. We became close during our Junior year of high school but once our Senior year came around we didn't have any classes together, so therefore we never really spoke. She adored One Direction, just like me. I knew that once we got to the concert we'd have a good time, so I called her up and asked her to join me.

Lauren: I'm so excited about tomorrow!!

My grin grew brighter as I quickly typed out a reply. Believe me, I'm so beyond excited! Can't wait.

I slipped my phone back into my pocket and started my car, pushing in Midnight Memories and belting out the lyrics on my drive home. Once I got home I walked around to the back of my car and opened my trunk, tossing my bag over my shoulder and grabbing my shopping bag. Jogging lightly up the stairs to the front door, I unlocked it and walked in, almost tripping over Scooter. "Scooter, what are you doing in the house?"

"Scooter," my mother scolded. She glanced up at me, wiping her hands on the dish towel as she nodded towards the bag. I heard the laugh escape her lips as she grinned. "I take it you found an outfit for tomorrow night?"

I nodded, walking towards the kitchen. "Yeah, I did. It's really cute, actually." Laughing as I slipped my hand through my hair, I gave a small shrug and mumbled to myself. "Which means I probably look awful in it."

"Well I'm sure it will look great on you." She turned back around and started pulling stuff out to cook supper.

"What are we having tonight?" I bent down and picked up Scooter, planting a kiss on his nose.

Sighing, she glanced back at me and rolled her eyes, chuckling. "Spaghetti, again."

"Yum, my favorite." Laughing softly, I walked to my room and close the door behind me. "Who's a good boy?" I sat Scooter down, patting his head lightly before sitting my bags down on the floor.

Walking over to my radio, I plugged my phone in and set Nick Jonas' Jealous on repeat. I pulled the outfit out of my bag and placed them on hangers, putting them in my closet before going over and plopping down on my bed. My eyes slowly closed as I hummed along to the song, finally fading out altogether.

* * * * *

My eyes opened slightly as I turned over in bed, stealing a quick glance at the time on my laptop. Six thirty in the morning. I pulled myself up and threw the covers off my bed as I quickly made my way to the bathroom. After I brushed my teeth I quickly curled my hair and slipped into my outfit, grabbing my bag and keys as I made my way into the kitchen.

"There's our sleepy daughter," my dad chuckled. "You slept through supper. Your mother didn't want to wake you up, so I obeyed her suggestions. You know how that goes."

"Right." I grabbed a water out of the fridge and turned around, glancing at him. "Thanks for almost letting me sleep late, though." Shaking my head, I playfully punched his arm and walked out of the house.

Once I got to Violet's house, we got into her car and started off to school. I pulled out my notebook and leaned back in the seat, doing my best to focus on the math that was in front of me. There was no way I was going to be able to concentrate on this quiz, and I really couldn't afford a failing quiz grade right now. Math was already a subject I struggled in, so I didn't need to dig myself into a deep hole. Once we finally got to school, I slipped my notebook into my bag and we got out of the car. "Good luck on your quiz, don't be thinking about Louis too much." Smirking, Violet shot me a small wink and raised her eyebrow. "Or is it Zayn that you like?"

I rolled my eyes, letting out a sarcastic laugh. "Thanks, and I'll see you at two thirty, okay?" Tossing my bag over my shoulder, I shook my head and walked to my class.

My breath caught in my throat as I walked into my math class. Even though I attended this class three times a week, it still took my breath every time I walked through that door. My math teacher obviously didn't believe in keeping her room warm, or even cool. No, she fully believed in keeping her room below ten degrees. Sighing as I walked over and slid into my seat, I pulled out my phone and saw the message from Lauren.

Lauren: TODAY IS THE DAY!! THANK YOU, AGAIN!

Smiling to myself, I turned the ringer off and slid my phone back into my bag as the teacher walked in. She passed out the quizzes and as soon I saw the question I knew that I had this in the bucket, all my doubt suddenly went away. Somehow I managed to push this concert to the back of my head and I worked through the quiz, feeling confident about my answers. After I finished the quiz, I turned it in and the rest of class flew by, more so because I didn't pay attention than anything else. My english and art class pretty much went by the same way, which I was actually pleased with because I was ready to get out of there. I met Violet back at her car and she drove us back home.

"Have fun tonight and not that you will ... but don't get into trouble, okay?" She laughed, waving to me as I got into my car and drove off.

As I got to my house, I quickly ran up to my front door and didn't even bother getting my bag out of the car. I unlocked the front door and walked to my room, immediately going for the outfit I had just bought yesterday. After slipping into it, I looked at myself in the mirror and then slipped into the wedges. My favorite pair, actually. They were closed closed and plaid, with the colors black and red. I fixed my hair and glanced at the clock. Three fifty-eight. It was finally time to leave.

Dialing Lauren's number up, I hit call and bit my bottom lip as I waited, aimlessly playing with a curl. When she finally picked up, I smiled and did my best to hide my excitement. "Hey, me and my mom are just now fixing to leave our house, so we're on our way. You still live in the same house, right?"

"I do. Girl, I am so beyond excited. I barely got any sleep last night and this morning, I was going ballistic." Lauren squealed on the other end of the phone. It was clear she was ready.

"I know, I still can't believe I'm actually going to see them in concert. It's going to be great." I looked over at my mom as she nodded, and I gave a quick smile as I walked to her car. "Well, we'll be there in a few."

She squealed once more, "It's going to be great, Paige! Just wait."

Hanging up the phone, I slid into the back seat and rested my head against the window. I still couldn't grasp the fact that I was going to see the five boys that I constantly talked about. As sappy as it may sound, it was a dream come true for me and it was something that I would remember for years to come. We picked Lauren up and we were finally on our way to Atlanta, to see our boys play at the Dome. It took us about two hours to get there but we finally got to our seats at around six thirty, the show originally said to start at seven. As we found our seats, we both sat down at the same time and glanced over at each other, shaking in our seat as we laughed.

"We're here. We are actually about to see our boys live, Lauren." Closing my eyes, I playfully grasped my heart and let out a small laugh. "Tonight is going to be just magical, I know it."

She squealed, shaking her head. "Girl, tonight is going to be more than just magical. I have a feeling it's going to be a night we reply over and over in our heads, forever."

"Right." Licking my lips, I glanced up towards the roof of the Dome and smiled to myself.

The lights went down and a roar of screams filled the Dome, lights shining up the place as if there were thousands of stars inside the Dome with us. 5SOS appeared on the screen and the screams got louder, a few 'I love you, Ashton's' and 'I love you, Luke's' coming from all around the arena. My heart raced as the lights started up and they began to play Eighteen. I wasn't exactly a hardcore fan of Five Seconds of Summer and I didn't know everything about them, but they were talented and I was excited that I was going to be able to hear them play Amnesia live. They continued to play for about an hour and I found myself becoming more intrigued with their music, a little ashamed that I didn't know the lyrics to all of their songs.

"Thank you for having us, Atlanta!" Luke shouted as they all bowed and made their way off the stage.

I clapped, screaming out we watched them leave. Biting my bottom lip as we waited around patiently for One Direction to come on, I did my best to calm my nerves. I was still in shock. So much shock that for a second I forgot who we were actually seeing. All of a suddent their Intro came on the screen and if you thought it was loud before, the screams were piercing my ears as each boy showed up on the screen. Finally, they all came out on stage and began singing Midnight Memories, causing every girl in that Dome to scream at the top of their lungs. I'd never been much of a screamer, but that night I never screamed so much in my life.

We danced, screamed, belted the lyrics at the top of our lungs, gazed at the boys, and fell in love with them all over again. People always claim they have a favorite but when you see them altogether, it's hard to imagine even having one you fancy more than the others. They were all so talented and their looks didn't hurt. The concert went by faster than I wanted it to and when they went off stage, I was brought back to reality when Lauren started shaking me.
"Paige, c'mon, lets go!" She nodded towards the stairs, this look in her eyes saying she was up to something.

I pointed towards the stage and raised my eyebrow, talking above the screams. "They still have a few more songs to sing. It's just a small break."

"Trust me, Paige, c'mon. I have an idea." Pulling on my arm, she lead me down the stairs and out into the hallway.

"Lauren, we're going to miss the end of the show! Lets go back in and watch them until the end, then you can come back and show me whatever it is you want to show me."

She rolled her eyes and continued to drag me down the hallway, towards two guards who were obviously keeping fans from going any further. I saw her glance over at the bathroom and make her way over to it, leaving it behind. Within just a few seconds she came running back out and over to the guards, a frightened look on her face. "You have to go in there, now! Two girls are fighting and it's getting violent. I can't get them to stop!"

Covering my mouth, I watched as both guards darted into the bathroom. "Lauren, are you insane?" I threw my hands up as she started running down the hallway, back towards where the boys were staying. "Lauren!" Rolling my eyes as I realized she wasn't stopping, I glanced behind me and took off running after her, praying I wouldn't break my ankle in the process.

I finally came to a stop as I realized I was at the opposite side of the Dome from where we were sitting. Bending down a little, I placed my hands on my knees and tried to catch my breath. I heard the fireworks go off and frowned. "Damn," I mumbled to myself as I realized the show had ended. I had no idea where Lauren went, Lauren tricked two guards, and now I was in an area I shouldn't be in. Straightening back up I let out a small sigh and pulled out my phone, sending a message to Lauren telling her to come back.

"Are you supposed to be back here?" A male asked from behind me, his accent visible as he spoke.

I jerked my head up and closed my eyes, shaking my head as I turned around and held out my hands. "I can explain, I promise. I'm just looking for-" As my eyes opened, I cut myself off mid-scentence as I glanced up and into the eyes of Harry Styles.

A deep chuckle escaped his lips as his dimples appeared. "I'm not going to bust you, Love. You just didn't look like a worker." He took a few steps closer and leaned down, offering another crooked smile before raising his eyebrow. "I'm Harry."

"I - I know who you are, obviously." I let out a small laugh, shaking my head as I broke eye contact with him. Crossing one leg in front of the other, I nodded behind me and licked my lips. "My friend took off running in this direction and I lost her."

Crossing his arms, he cocked his head to the side and glanced behind him. "What happened to the two guards? I thought they had this place covered with them."

I closed my eyes, beginning to talk with my hands, a habit I did when I was nervous. "We, well my friend, distracted them." Looking back up at him as I sighed, I let out a small laugh. "I promise, we didn't come back here to sneak pictures or anything. At least I didn't."

"I believe you." His laugh started deep in his chest as it finally made it's way up and out of his mouth, escaping through the small grin plastered on his face. "Just know that you're not supposed to be back here."

"I'm aware of that. I mean that's clearly why they had guards," I snapped back in a sarcastic tone. Scratching my arm as I shifted onto my left foot, I glared up at him for a few seconds and rolled my eyes. "Can you just get them to send her up to meet me, please?" I pushed past him and began walking back towards the way we came.

He turned, finding himself watching her walk away. "Wait," he called out.

I stopped in my tracks, only because I was scared he was going to call security on us and slightly because I didn't want to hear another sarcastic comment from him. "You were sarcastic, too, Paige," I whispered to myself before turning around to face him. "What?"

"Lets make a deal." Giving a small shrug, he shortened the distance between them.

"Excuse me?" Shock ran across my face as his words. A deal? Harry Styles wanted to make a deal with me, a fan? Of couse he did, Paige. You snuck back here so of course you're going to have to do something to pay for it. "What do you mean, exactly?"

"I mean ... we should make a deal. I won't tell them that you snuck back here. In fact, I'll take you to meet the band." He uncrossed his arms, slipping his hand through his hair as he parted it to the right.

"You'll take me to meet the band?" I raised my eyebrow, keeping my excitement hidden as I felt my breath catch in my throat. "That sounds fantastic but my question is, what is my part of the deal?"

He shot me a small wink and chuckled. "Just say deal. I promise it won't be anything bad."

"I'm not saying deal, Harry. I'm not insane. Listen, I want to meet the band, believe me, but I'm not saying deal until you tell me what my part is."

"Okay, fine." Reaching out his hands, he smirked. "Just give me your number."

I was set back. Why the hell was he asking for my number? I know that any girl would love to be in my spot, although I knew for a fact he wasn't asking because he was interested in me, but there was no way I was giving him my number. Yes, he was a member of One Direction. Yes, he was the Harry Styles. He was still a stranger to me, though. Shaking my head as I let out a small laugh, I scrunched my nose up a little bit. "I'm sorry, but what?"

"Give me your number. That's your part of the deal." He stepped closer, pulling his hands back as he gave a small shrug. "It's just so I can let you know when we find your friend, so you'll know when she's on her way back."

"Why can't she just text me from her phone?"

"What if her phone is dead? Love, you got to look at all the possible outcomes. Trust me, okay." Chuckling, he rolled his eyes a little bit and grinned. "You know, any other girl in this building would've given me their address and password to their phone by now."

I tilted my head to the side and smirked. "Too bad I'm not like any other girl in this building."

"Okay." As he bit his bottom lip, he stuffed his hands into his pants and glanced past me. "Please. We're fixing to leave, just let me have your number. I'll delete it once I let you know she's on her way."

Rubbing my eyes as I thought about it, I reached my hand out and stomped one of my feet. "Find, just give me your phone."

"See, nobody can resist." He grinned, winking once more as he handed me his phone. "And what's her name?"

Laughing at his comment, I smiled sarcasticly and placed a hand over my heart. "Oh, you have no idea." I shook my head and took his phone, quickly typing in my number before shoving it back into his hand. "Her name is Lauren. Just tell her to meet me out front, please."

"Anything for you, Love." Glancing at my number, he let his eyes find their way back up to me and then cleared his throat. "I need your name as well."

"Paige. Paige Brown." I crossed my arms, looking anywhere but at him. God, Lauren would love to be in my place right now. A part of me wanted to ask him for an autograph so I could give it to her, but then again, I couldn't let him think I was the one fangirling over him. I loved One Direction, but Louis had always been the one I found most interesting. I never really saw what the girls seen in Harry. One thing was certain though, he was easy on the eyes and quite a charmer.

"Nice to meet you, Paige. You'll be hearing from me soon, hopefully." He nodded and walked around me, saving my number in his phone.

Standing there for a moment as I caught my breath and took everything in, I shook my head and prayed to God that Lauren would show up soon. I pulled my phone out and turned it all the way up, that way I would be able to hear when they tried to contact me. As soon as I locked my phone it went off and I saw that it was a number that wasn't saved, so I instantly knew it was Harry. Turning around to look behind me, he was nowhere to be seen. I opened the text and my mouth dropped a little as I read the text, not once or twice, but five times.

Harry: Your friend is waiting for you out front. Two other guards found her.

Paige: Just now?

Harry: No, about two minutes before I found you.

Paige: Whatever. Our deal is off then, delete my number.

Harry: Actually, our deal is still on and I'd rather not. We can finish our deal tomorrow.

Paige: You all have to leave tonight, though?

Harry: Change in plans. I asked to have an extra day or two. Something caught my eye.

Paige: Well how about you deal with that. I'm okay with not meeting the band.

Harry: I'll send a limo to you tomorrow. Be ready by ten thirty. Don't keep me waiting.

Paige: No! Harry, I'm sorry but I'm busy.

Harry: I know you are. You'll be with me. Goodnight. - Harry x

Locking my phone, I ran my hand through my hair and slipped my phone into my back pocket. What the hell just happened? I quickly made my way out front, pushing through the other fans who tried so desperately to get back to their cars, and others who hung around trying to get a glance of the boys. I bit down on my bottom lip hard and focused on finding Lauren. As soon as I saw her I walked over and grabbed her arm, tightening my jaw and pulling her along the sidewalk as she tried to find my mom's car.

"I was so close to seeing them, Paige." She squealed lightly, but my mind was somewhere else.

"Good for you." I nodded and we continued to the car.

The ride home was quiet and Lauren was asleep before we ever even got out of Atlanta. I slipped down in the seat as my mom turned the radio up a little bit louder, humming along to the beat. Closing my eyes as I sighed to myself, I couldn't grasp what had just gone down. I went to the concert looking forward to seeing my favorite and perform, and I ended up meeting Harry Styles. God, he was so much more attractive in person but there was no way I was going to let him know I thought that. I was almost asleep when my phone went off. Pulling it out, I read the text and then quickly locked it.

Harry: Don't forget. (:

This had to be a dream, it had to be. I ran my hand through my hair and closed my eyes once again, grasping my phone tightly as I replayed the conversation in my head. Was I really going to meet Harry tomorrow? Yeah, sure, why not? Besides, it's not like I was interested in him. No. I was just going to spend a day with him and then after that it would be over. After tomorrow we would go back to being strangers.

Notes

I'm going to be honest, I'm ashamed at how the first chapter turned out.
I promise it's going to get better. :c
I have so much in store for this story, and I'm trying not to rush it.

@CallMeBri
Yeah, it's hard to come up with a new plot when it comes to One Direction, ha. Thank you so much for your input though, I appreciate it!
