Half a Heart

Zayn and I had become insepratable when he moved or did something I was right there beside him and vis versa, it had been three weeks since I had been rapped and everyday I got better. I had told my mom the truth about why I didn't come home that night and she knew there might be a chance that I was pregnant. At first she didn't believe it, she thought Zayn and I had just been stupid and then said that I was rapped but when she met Zayn she knew we didn't do anything. I still didn't know if I was pregnant or not which made my nerves go haywired but I was going to find out tommorow, I was at Elenour's house with her eating a bag of doriteos and wathching my favorite movie the notbook and all the sudden ELenour's phone started ringing she paused the movie and answered it. "Hello......." her face turned pale and I didn't understand why "ok i'll tell her, ok thanks Liam bye" she hung up her phone, got up and moved to the sofa were I was sitting "Kirstin...there's been in accident today and it doesn't look good," "what, who was it....was it Zayn?" "no Zayn is fine it's...it's your mom she was an a car accident this morining I guess it's all over the news she is at the hospital and she still hasn't woken up yet." I got up and raced out of her house and ran, I was running to my mom, I was all she had left and I wasn't going to let her down not now and not ever. I was a half a block away from Elenour's house when she pulled up beside me and motioned me to get in so I jumped in and away we went to the hospital all the while I had silent tears running down my cheeks. Once we arrived I didn't even wait for Elenour I rushed into the main lobby and asked for my mom's room number which was on the critical care floor, as I walked in I saw all the boys were there including Zayn and the moment he saw me he wrapped me in his strong arms and kissed the top of my head. Just then the doctor came in " Hello you must be her daughter?" "yes i'm Kristin, doctor how bad is it?" "well i'm afraid to tell you this but she is brain dead and there's nothing we can do" "is she going to live" "well you to have to make that decision, you see even if she does she will be a vegetable for the remainder of her life and that would only add more stress on you considering you'd have to take care of her meaning 24/7 care" "so what do I do doctor?" "only you can decided that not me" he walked out leaving me filled with questions of why all this is happining to me? I walked out of her room in tears, I ran to a waiting room that was vacant and hit my knees " oh god why me why my mom" I was sobbing when I felt somebody's hand on my shoulder I looked up to see Zayn standing there looking down at me. "Kristin" "Zayn I can't kill her, she has done everything to keep our family a family and she couldn't, she has been my best friend someone that I actually trusted and I can't do this to her....I just can't do this." "Kristin she isn't there anymore she is brain dead and right now she is on a machine that's keeping her breathing you can't keep her on it forever" " I know but i'm keeping her on it at least till tommorow." I walked out of the waiting room and out of the hostpital I walked all the way back home and went to the phone, picked it up and dialed the number I least expected myself to dial *ring ring* "Hello?" "dad it's me Kristin" "Kristin? why are you calling me for what's wrong" "dad mom was in a car accident and she is in pretty bad shape" "I know I saw the news" "why didn't you go see if she was alright?" "because she isn't my concern anymore, Sarah is" "seriously dad, that girl is young enough she could be my sister and your married to her why did you leave mom" "honey I don't have time for this" "oh you don't have time...but you had time to have sex with Sarah before you came home to your family you already had" I spat at him "it's not like that," "really so why won't you come and visit me oh that's right becuase your precious Sarah is more important" "sweetie she needs me right now becuase she is going to have a baby" "what" "your going to be a big sister isn't it great!" "no, you stay away from me and don't bring that baby over I don't want to see it and I don't want to see Sarah either" "but...honey" "don't honey me..you haven't had time to call and ask how i'm doing and oh by the way dad I was rapped by two guys and geuss what I might be pregnant... but you didn't know that because all your time is spent with Sarah, i'm done talking to you I don't even know why I called you for." I hung up the phone and threw it against the wall. An hour had past and I heard a knock on the door, I got up and answered it "hi Liam" I said wearily as I stepped back so he could come in the apartment. "you ok love, you look like crap no offense" "none taken Li...I called my dad to tell him about mom and you know he knew but he was too busy with his preciuos fresh out of high school wife to even come and see if she was alright." " i'm sorry love" " and on top of everything that has happened to me I'm going to be a big sister to a baby that my new step mom is carrying isn't that nice, that he can forget about his first born and focus on this new baby that shouldn't even be here unless my mom was having it." "Kristin I know it's hard to except this but you know even though your mom and dad are divorced doesn't mean you can't be happy for him" "Liam he should be with my mom right now the only reason he's not is because that stupid Sarah had to come in the picture and he had to leave my mom" "You know sometimes you can't help who you fall in love with it's just how nature intended for it to be you don't look at somebody until you feel compelled with a disire to please that one person." I just looked at him " hey the rest of the lads are at Elenour's house with her why don't you get some close and your backpack and will walk over there?" "actually Liam I have an appointment tomorow so i'm not going to school and I think I want to stay at my place tonight but thanks for the pep talk and checking up on me" "anytime and hey if you need anything you have all our numbers so give us a call and will be here" "ok I will thanks bye" "see ya later love...get some rest" he walked out and I did just what he said I brushed my teeth and used mouth wash, washed my face, got my pajamas on and craweled into my bed and after awhile I was asleep dreaming about being far away from here.
