Year Two

Delia's P.O.V.

"How could you?!" Louis' tone was harsh and unforgiving.

After Harry had had it out with Ashton, I returned to my room hoping to avoid the fallout. It wasn't like I had planned it to happen this way. All I wanted was for Rachel to start thinking of Louis as more than a friend and give Ashton and I a chance at a real relationship. One that didn't have to be kept hidden behind closed doors. Rachel was a sweet girl, I had never wanted to hurt her. Louis, however, didn't seem to be getting that.

"She's your friend Delia! Or at least she was! Don't you care at all about how she's going to feel? About how hurt she's gonna be? And for what? So you could get laid," He continued, his eyes locked with mine.

I just huffed in annoyance, rolling my eyes.

"It wasn't like that Louis.. Ashton and I, it's not just sex. I really like him.. and I think there's a good chance he feels the same," I explained.

Unfortunately, this did nothing to derail his outrage. "You think he feels the same? Then why didn't he end his relationship before you two jumped into bed together?! How could you be so selfish? Don't you have a shred of decency?"

I gasped at his harshness, immediately becoming defensive. "Me? Excuse me, Rachel isn't my girlfriend. I didn't cheat on her. And if I remember correctly, you did. Wasn't she in this exact same position last year after you ran off and fucked Eleanor behind her back? So get down off your high horse please Louis," I hissed.

He gaped for a moment before his brow furrowed, however this time his words held less bite. "That was a completely different situation, I slept with Eleanor once, only after I thought Rachel had chosen Ashton over me. You've been sleeping with him for weeks, probably longer! How am I to even know?" He muttered.

I sighed. "Look, Louis, you're right, I'm sorry. But this genuinely isn't how I wanted things to play out. I never intended for Rachel to get hurt.." I admitted, honestly.

"Well how exactly did you see it playing out?"

"Honestly, I was kinda hoping that you and Rachel would get back together.. And then Ashton and I wouldn't have to keep hiding," I said softly, gauging his reaction.

His cheeks flushed pink as he gaped wordlessly for a second.

"Rachel and.. I.. Delia, how did you ever think that was going to work out? She's very much in love with Ashton," he responded sharply, though his blush gave away that he was clearly embarrassed.

"Look, I know you still care about her, and I'm sure that she still cares about you too, now is the perfect opportunity for you to-"

"No," his voice was quiet yet firm. I raised an eyebrow in question. "No, now isn't the perfect opportunity for me to do anything. I know Rachel, and she's gonna be a mess right now. I haven't seen her since she found out but I know for a fact that she's gonna be heartbroken. And a lot of that is due to you.." he trailed off.

"Louis-"

"I should go.. make sure she's okay, you know," he cut me off. "Bye Delia," I groaned as he walked out the door. It was quite a mess I had gotten myself into.
