Year Two
Startled
I sighed once she walked into the bathroom. What was wrong with me? Honestly I hadn't even mean it as a date. Really, I hadn't. If I was ever given the chance to bring her on a date it'd be somewhere much better than a café for breakfast.
It was then I let my mind wander onto where exactly I would bring her. She wasn't the sort to go out to a restaurant I wouldn't think. She'd prefer going to the cinema and coming home and having pizza. Or maybe a concert. She'd like a concert.
I was pulled out of my train of thought by her phone blaring out 'Always' by Blink 182. I searched the couch quickly before finding it. I frowned slightly at the unfamiliar number but then decided to answer it anyways.
"Hello?"
There was a small pause before a yell of "Ashton!"
"SKYLAR?!" I yelled back, shocked.
I must have yelled a little too loud because Rachel flung the bathroom door open and came running out. She was wearing a pair of denim jeans and a Nirvana tee with a plaid shirt tied around her waist. She had her hair left down in her usually messy curls and she had foundation on her face. She hadn't had a chance to rub it in properly as I had obviously startled her with my yell.
"Who's on the phone Ash?" She asked softly.
Her eyes literally popped out of her head at my response.
"Its Skylar"
