Rachel's P.O.V.

After agreeing to go see the boys perform later on in the night, me and Skylar began getting ready. It wasn't long before Lizzie showed up and she too was all focus on the Halloween party. I decided to go as a nurse. I couldn't help but admire my reflection. I really was liking this nurse outfit, the hat was pretty cute.

I was still applying my last bit of make up when I heard a knock on the door.

The three of us turned to look at it in confusion before something seemed to click in Skylar's head. She ran to the door quickly. She flung it open to reveal Harry. I raised an eyebrow.

"Harry?" I asked slowly, raising an eyebrow.

He bit his lip.

"Oh hey Rach, I just came to pick Skylar up" he explained, glancing down.

I turned my gaze to Skylar.

"What?" Why hadn't she mentioned she was going with Harry?

She blushed ever so slightly but nodded.

"Yeah, we're em gonna go together. Are you guys coming?" she asked, making her way over to Harry at the door.

Though she had offered, I knew neither of them really wanted us to come.

I shrugged.

"Nah emm, we'll follow ye over. See ya there" I mumbled.

I was honestly really confused. Why was Skylar going with Harry? Were we not going to go and see her boyfriend's band performing later on in the night? I didn't understand. Did she like Harry? I was really starting to think she did.

She bit her lip, giving me a worried look.

"You sure?" she asked.

I just nodded.

"Yup, go ahead" I replied suspiciously.

And so her and Harry took off. Me and Lizzie spent another 15 minutes making sure our costumes were perfect before heading off to the party ourselves. When we arrived I couldn't help but grin. There were so many different people on so many different costumes that I couldn't recognise anyone. Me and Lizzie looked around for Harry and Skylar and when at last we saw them chatting in a corner I froze in my spot. They were talking so animatedly - practically flirting. There was no doubt in my mind now that there was something going on.

"Hey Lizzie maybe we should just leave them be" I mumbled, before spinning around.

She followed behind me cautiously.

"What's wrong?" she asked confused.

I shrugged.

"Nothing, nothing. I'm gonna go get a drink" I muttered, heading off in search of one.

Lizzie started talking to some random girl who I assumed was in some of her classes and so I was alone. I found myself a drink and downed in quickly. It was then that I was interrupted.

"Hey look who came as a slutty nurse" I spun quickly to be faced with Louis and Niall.

I raised an eyebrow.

"I'm a nurse" I replied, sticking out my tongue.

He smirked.

"Yeah, but on you.." he trailed off, his tone teasing.

I smacked him on his arm and he just laughed.

He was dressed as a vampire and let's just say he was pulling it off. Much better that I would have, I went as a vampire one year and looked dreadful.

Suddenly Niall spotted a flash of purple and headed off in Delia's direction.

"So, you wanna dance?" he asked, his eyes scanning me again quickly.

I bit my lip slightly.

"As friends of course. You know, for old times sake" he told me quickly.

I rolled my eyes. Old times sake? He was always such a drama queen.

"I don't know.." I murmured, feigning offense.

He looked somewhat nervous.

"I mean a nurse and a vampire. What will people think?" I continued and his face broke out into a smile.

"C'mon you twat" he chuckled, grabbing my hand to pull me out on the floor.

Louis wasn't exactly the best dancer but then again neither was I. We spent the night just chatting and dancing, occasionally stopping to talk with some of the others. Eventually I realised it was getting really late and me and Skylar would have to go if we were going to make it to the boys performance.

After giving Louis a quick hug goodbye and thanking him for the night I headed off to look for Skylar.

Of course I found her with Harry. They were sitting on a couch, extremely close together, talking and laughing.

"Sky!" I announced my arrival quickly.

She looked up to meet my eye.

"Hey" she gave me a smile.

I smiled back weakly.

"C'mon we've to get going now" I reminded her.

"Going? Can't you stay?" Harry whined as she stood up to leave.

She giggled at his pout while I just looked away awkwardly.

"I'll see you tomorrow" she told him.

He just shrugged.

"Okay. Bye Sky" he gave her a warm smile.

"What am I chopped liver?!" I said indignantly.

He rolled his eyes.

"Bye rach" he chuckled.

I smirked.

"Better" I replied.

And with that the two of us headed out of the house to see the boys perform live for the first time.
