All It Takes Is One Bite

Harry dropped me off at home and about 5 seconds later I heard the front door slam shut I realised my laptop was still open so I did a full on ninja mode and jumped over my bed and shut the lid and hid it between the base and mattress and lay down on my bed reading The Hunger games (well fake read).

“Have you been reading all day?” my dad asked

“yeah what else can I do since you have took everything off of me.” I said rolling my eyes and putting my book down.

“have you even ate today?” He asked seriously what is with all of these questions but shit I was out with Harry when I ate so there will be no dishes downstairs may as well lie.

“no I haven’t I guess I lost my appetite probably from being locked in a house with no fresh air.” I said

“well I have a deal for you.” He said

“well what is it.” I said I had butterflies in my stomach and not the good type but the bad ones.

“well tonight me and a few guys are going hunting and I have a proposition for you if you kill your first vampire tonight I will give you your phone and everything back and I will let you leave the house and I will trust you to stay away from those blood suckers so do you accept or not.” He said I knew it would be bad but if I accept I will be able to see Harry again

“yeah.” I said nervously

“DON’T SAY YEAH SPEEK PROPERLY WILL YOU DO IT OR WON’T YOU.” He shouted.

“yes.” I said proudly deep down I regret it but it is the only way to gain my father’s trust.

“that’s much better now that you accept you have the honour of leading tonight’s hunt.” He said

“really but why usually you do it.” I said he put his arm around my shoulder and walked me into the room where we plan the hunts.

“Well you see Emma our sons are born to be followers but our daughters are born to be leaders and since you are 18 your practically a adult so I trust you to be able to plan this and I hope shortly you will do this more often with us maybe even join in on our werewolf hunts.” He said I smiled at the fact my dad had faith in me I instantly hugged him back.

“ok so what about if we set a few traps around this area have a range of them ok and I want a few men around this area stay hidden and if the vampire gets past all the traps shoot him with vervain bullets it should knock him out and give us time to either bring him back to question about the vampire he is the one who killed my baby brother and I want revenge for that or we will kill him right there on the spot got it.” I said I look up at my dad and he nodded and told the men to set traps where I said and to and told me when to be ready for I grabbed my hunting outfit which consisted of a deep red vest top with black jeans, black army boots and a black leather jacket I had a belt with gun holders and a knife holder and also a few more bits and bobs like vervain.

We gathered in my sitting room and loaded all the weapons my dad of course gave me my bow and arrows but he gave me a new arrow.

“what’s this arrow?” I asked

“well this one is a flash bang arrow once it hits a hard object like a tree or a wall it sets of a flash making our enemies vision blurry making him more venerable this works better with werewolves but it still works with vampires.” He said I smiled and picked my bow up and drew the string back and let go testing it I picked my arrows up and put the arrow bag over my back.

“Everyone ready.” I said

“before we go here in case you get split up and have you got a walky-talky.” My dad said handing me my phone.

“yes I have it’s here.” I said pointing to my waist as we were sitting in the car I grabbed my phone it’s fully charged and I texted Harry.

Be careful tonight if I was you stay inside we are hunting tonight and I have to kill a vampire for my father to let me out of lock down and I don’t want you to be involved so I’m begging you stay indoors or away from where vampires usually hunt ok.

I sent the message and we arrived to the town we got out and wandered the streets we were split into 4 groups, one group to the town like up the alleys and down streets, another toke the parks (they are actually very popular for vampires to hunt in and to meet up.) another toke another part of town and the last group was in the car traveling around in case a group had someone injured and needed taking back each group had a plan.

My group had the park area we had set a few traps and were all in position and waited for our unlucky vampire to come I just hope it isn’t Harry, Rachel or Louis I just pray it is the vampire I want him dead!
