My Boss

The flight to Manchester already has landed and I now find myself staring at the familiar scenery I have known since my childhood .

The wind played with my hair , and I smiled of the memories I have one-had in this land . The face of my mom crossed into my mind . She has always been my best friend you know ? Since the beginning she has been for me .

"Miss we're here ." the taxi driver said once we arrived in front of a familiar house , I knew very well . I got out of the car and I nicely paid the driver the amount of cash and a nice tip . He helped me pull out my language from the car baggage .

"Thank you ." I said sincerely at him . I breathed in and out of my nose rapidly . Goodbye London craziness !

Nothing changed . Its like coming back in time . There was the tree I would always climb and , I would always fall . The memories came when I used to go there and just wrote when I was on my early teens . Cade would always accompany me .

"Anna ?" A voice called me from my behind and I turned around in surprise .

"No way !" I squealed in happened as I released my language and runs to Cade's arms . He picked me up and rotated both of us in a circle . Finally a familiar face ,

"Anna I've missed you ." He said one he released me from his death hug . I wasn't complaining .

"I've missed you too Cade ." I said smiling and pulling him again for a hug . His arms hugged my waist tightly as I folded my arms against his neck .

"Let's go inside ." he smiled flashing me a toothy smile that reached his eyes . With a nod of my head I agreed with his suggestion .
It's been 1 year . 1 year!!
I made my way to my language but Cade beat me to it by taking them in both of his hands . I smiled at the sweet gesture . With excitement I opened my house door and the smell of something delicious welcomed me .

"Mom ?" I asked through the house .

"She's probably at the backyard with your dad ." Cade said .

"I'll take this to your room ." he continued as I nodded . I watched him as he got upstairs to my old room . I smiled at the sight of him . He has grown up in time , as I have . It made me laugh because I remembered him just like I left him about 3 years ago .
He was such a nerd . The way he always had his dorky glasses with him . Now ? I hardly recognised him . He had a strong body . His hair was light brown , blue eyes and a tan skin .

Lucky she .

Without thinking again I ran to the background of my house , hoping to see mom and dad there . There they were . My mom was sitting on a chair reading a magazine and my dad was reading a newspaper .

"I'm sorry am in the right house ?" I teased .

"Huh ?" My mom mumbled before she looked up . Excitement and happiness filled her eyes .

"Anna dear ." She said getting up from her chair . My dad released his newspaper and looked at me . I walked at them quickly until I was in my mom's embrace .

"Darling what are you doing here ?" She asked once I pulled away from her . While she asked me this I hugged my dad .

"I thought to do a visit ." I replied once I pulled away from dad .

"I mean if that's OK ."

"Of course you can stay." She said pulling me for another hug . I widened my eyes because she was hugging me so tight .

"Veronica let her breathe please ."

Thanks dad .

"Yes yes , come sit and tell me everything about London ." she said motioning to the chair .

"Haha sure mom ."

I released a squeal one I jumped at my old bed . My back was on the bed and I looked up to the cream-color ceiling. I wonder how are things going on in London . A knock on my door made me look up .

"Come in ." I said . Cade's head came in view and I released myself on the bed again .

"You okay ?" He asked with a chuckle once he closed my door and sat in my bed .

" Yes , just tired ." I muttered and got up from the bed tiredly .

"I imagine . " he replied to me . A silence fell in between us but it wasn't uncomfortable . I turned around completely so now I was facing Cade who was smiling at me .

"So tell me . How have you been ?" I asked happily .

"I have been great , now that you're here I'm amazing . How have you been ?" He asked me .

"Well ...busy mostly but I feel happy I'm here too ."

" Its nice to see you again Anna ." he asked and I smiled . I froze when I watched his hand tugging a hair behind my ear . He kept eye contact with me the all time .

"Thanks ." I replied looking down .

"You know you're blushing ." he said with a smirk on his lips and I immediately hide my face in my hands . His laughter filled the room and soon a pair of hands removed mind's from my face .

"Don't hide . You are beautiful when you blush ." he said in a serious-deep tone making me shiver .

"My family is coming over for dinner . They missed you too ." he said setting his back on my bed headboard .

"Really ? It's been so long since I've seen them ." I said now being a little nervous . Cade seemed to get my nervousness .

"Please don't be scared of them ." he chuckled and threw his head back .

"Listen here you ass , I'm just nervous I haven't meet them in a long time ." I said now getting closer to him and punching his in his arm .

"Wow strong punch but still no match for me ." He said pursuing his lips together to prevent him from laughing .

"How dare you ?" I asked through gritted teeth as I started punching him more , with hope he will change his opinion , nope , no luck with that .

"London has made you good ." he said grabbing my punches ...Soon my back was on the bed and Cade on top of me , with my arms crossed against my chest .

" I admit it , you threw pretty good punches for a girl ." Cade chuckled at me once I tried to get up .

"Let go of me you nerd ." I said trying to sound serious but failing miserably . Me and him find ourselves giggling like we are in high-school again . Finally our laughing stooped at I couldn't help but stare into Cade's eyes .

There was something different about him . We all grow up , he did too . I just couldn't get all of it together . All I know is that I'm happy to be home , where I belong . This is home . This is where my family and friends belongs . I hardly know anyone in London , except Zayn , Perrie , Lily ,
Luke and ...Harry . Harry .

Why can't I stoop thinking about that curly haired idiot! I'm so angry about that . I'm angry at myself for thinking about him !
No as I promised myself no Harry for the weekend .
I looked up to see Cade smirking at me .

"What ." I groaned .

"I've missed you Anna banana !" He said grinning like a idiot .

"Ugh get off me you pig ." I said in annoyance , although I couldn't help but chuckle at the nickname . My grandpa used to call me that was , it got so spread and everyone used to call me Anna banana . Great way to destroy a child childhood .

"Fine fine , grumpy ." he replied , already getting off me . I pouted my lips as I got up .

"Listen I need to look for my mom ." I said getting up from the bed .

"Okay ." he replied while he threw himself more on my bed .
I stare at him with wide eyes . Uh-uh . If he thinks he's gonna stay here while I go outside my room , he's nuts !

"Get up nerd ." I said grabbing his shoulder . He still didn't reply , his face was hidden from me by my pillows .

"You have to make me ." he answered . Although I couldn't see it , I knew that he was smiling . Oh you have no idea what you're in for . I pulled my sleeved up and just as soon as I was near Cade my phone rang .

"Luck saved you this time my friend ." I told him while he laughed . Making my way to my nightstand to my phone , I almost tripped . Uh blame Cade .
Once I got my phone I sticker my tongue out at him .

Hmm unknown number .

"Hello ?" I said once I opened the phone call .

"Anna ." A voice breathed my name .

"Harry ?" I asked in disbelief . How the hell did he got my number ??

"Hey I wanted to talk about ...something very important with you ." he said in his deep husky voice .

"Yeah ?" I asked as I sat on my bed , with my back facing Cade .
I just couldn't believe he was calling me . And here I thought I would have some alone time .

"Oh Anna banana is that your boyfriend ?" Cade scared me and I almost threw my phone because he screamed so laud near my ear .

"Wait who's that ?" I head Harry on the other line . His voice was something I couldn't get my finger too . I shoot a glare towards Cade direction .

"My friend ." I answered Harry truthfully . He took a sigh but just as he was about to answer my mom barged through my room . Really !!?

"Darling let's get out of your room , the boy's family is here ." she said closing the door again .

"Anna you sure you are with a friend ? In your room ? With a male !? " Harry yelled from the other line in anger as I stiffen in my place . Cade's eyes filled with worry but I already told him to go out and meet me downstairs.

"Harry I have known Cade for years now . "

"Cade ." he said rolling his name out of his mouth with disgust .

"Yes Harry , Cade , my best friend since childhood . Are you ever gonna stop controlling me !?" I asked now with my tamper rising ."

"Oh don't play the innocent with me Anna ." he asked with no emotion in his voice .

" What ? Enlighten me Harry because is there been any time I have never been sincere to you ?" I asked .

"You keep giving me mixed signals ! Its like you are to scared to accept your feelings towards me .You are afraid so you choose to run away . Come here in London Anna ." he said in a demanding voice . His words rang through my mind .

"Now Harry , why would I want to come there ?" I asked waiting for his reply . His breath quickened and in was getting anxious because he wasn't answering me .

"Harry , tell me ." I demanded in a firm tone .

"Because I need you ." he breathed at the other line . My heart stooped as I stared at the wall in front of me . I fight the urge to let my tears as I pursed my lips in a straight line to prevent me to cry .

"I don't need you Harry ." I said as I released the tears and closed the phone call . I threw the phone at my bed angrily as I started sobbing . A knock on my door was heard , but I was so messed up to go and open it .

Why now Harry !

"Darling what happened !" My mom opened the door and closed it shortly after she came near me . At this time I couldn't pretend anymore so I hurried my head on her chest as she wrapped her arms around me .

"Shh darling , what happened ?" She asked confuse and worry was evident in her voice .

"I love him so much it hurts ." I told her gripping her shirt more tightly . My mom's hand traced small patterns on my back .

"Oh honey ." she said .

"I am sick of crying , I feel so week ." I said once I pulled away from her embrace . Her hand came to wipe my tears away from my cheek .

"People cry , not because they're week . It's because they've been strong for too long ."

"It's like this war going on inside of my head all the time and I don't know how to stop it ." I cried resting my head on my mom'a palm .

"Oh darling it will get better ." she said pulling me closer so now I was resting my head on her shoulder.

"I smile , I try but the truth is I want to die ." I said crying harder .

"Let it all out darling ...let it all ." she kept whispering in my ear sweet things .

"He is so distant sometimes , I miss him , I didn't even tell him about coming here ." I said pulling away from my mom .

"Let him miss you . Sometimes when you're always available , they take you for granted because they think you'll always stay ."
Her words filled my mind . My tears eventually stooped until I just started at the wall boringly. Cade's family should already be downstairs waiting for us . We have been here for like 15 minutes .

"You ready ?" My mom asked me carefully as she stared into me with a smile . I took a deep breath as i forced myself to my feet . I looked to the bathroom and I watched my mom nod .
With shaky legs I walked to the bathroom making sure to close it . My own reflection scared me . Some mascara was smuggled on my face and I immediately wiped my face . I welcomed the cold water as I breathed deeply . That was the first time I have cried for him .

I need you .
He sounded so sincere . No Anne he is going to trick you . He is a millionaire boy who will only use you like a rag doll after he's done with you . He will use me , like him . In stiffened at my own memories .

"Darling you okay in there ?" My mom's sweet voice pulled out of the thoughts and i turned the doorknob . Her familiar eyes were so tired and I know she had cry too . It hurt me to see her like this , what's worse is that I was the cause . I walked closer to her until I placed my head on her shoulder .

She looked taken back I could tell by her body language but eventually her arms hugged me tightly .

"Oh darling . You deserve the kind of love you would give to someone else ." she whispered in my ear .

2867 words ! I have to say that i had this chapter on my tablet for so long but i just couldn't upload it from my tablet online ! So i had to get on my computer to edit it . Again sorry for the late update .

Sooooo....How do feel about Anna's and Harry's relationship now ( wink , wink )
