Tour!!!

"Mom I'm home." I said walking in with Skylar.

I was about to walk upstairs when I saw my brother and parents all sitting down at the kitchen table.

Shit, shit, shit.

Ashton probably told them about last night, little snitch. Or they got a call from school saying I ditched today? Or they found the bong in my closet….I knew I should’ve hidden it better! Last time they did this, I got grounded for a month after they found out I went to a party, not a study group.

“Are you in trouble?” Skylar whispered low enough so they couldn’t hear.

“I don’t know just go, go, go, hurry.” I rushed, trying to run upstairs before they saw me.

“Emmalyne!” My mom yelled and my eyes widened as we turned the corner and into my bedroom.

“I have to pee!” I lied running in my room and
locking it. I set my backpack down as I heard my mom start to walk upstairs. “Does she know we skipped school today?” Skylar asked, and I ignored her and ran to my closet.

I opened my bags and went through the piles of clothes sighing when I reached the bottom. "She took my bong? That was my good one too!"

Before I could have time to react my mother barged in crossing her arms. "You need to come downstairs so we can discuss what I found in your suitcase." She said sternly.

"You mean stole?" I shouted earning an angry look from her.

"It's a mothers right to go through your things. Come downstairs now so we can talk about it." She said and turned on her heels that were way too high for everyday life.

"Come on." I muttered grabbing Skylars hand as she followed me downstairs to the trouble table. Ever since we were kids, when we got in trouble or something happened she would sit at the table and tell us what happened. We sat down next to Ashton and she sat in front of us. "You didn't really think I would let you take a bong on tour, did you?"

It's set that were going on Tour tonight with my brothers band and I had to finish my packing to go. She checked my stuff yesterday and I didn't think she would check it again.

She went into the cupboard and pulled out a trash bag full of old food I'd hidden.

"And this? Come on Emmalyne. I get that you want attention and want to be skinny but you don't have to waste food." She yelled

"Mom. Stop." Ashton sneered.

"What? You even said it was excessive." She shot back at my brother. Ive had this disease since I was a little girl. Growing up with no father and a bitch of a mother takes a toll on you. Not to mention my sisters had leukemia for 7 years. She stays at the hospital, but well drive by to say goodbye to her.

"Because she has a disease that's triggered by stress. She needs to get away from the house, away from the hospital, away from school. That's why she's coming with us in the first place." Ashton explained. Every since he was a kid he always had my back with mom. Ive always known her as a snotty rude woman. Ashton used to see a different side. A softer one, before dad left. Now she's bitter and lonely.

She's never said anything about my weight directly. but the little comments. Like, that dress may be too small, or shed ask me if I wanted to start a diet with her, or for my birthday she gave me gym passes. My sister Kyra noticed first, then Ashton. He bought me a dress in what he thought was my size but I had to pin it back and he said something. I don't think of myself as sick.

"Stress? What are you saying that I stress her out? I don't do anything to her, she does this to herself." She stated.

Ashton rolled his eyes and took my hand. "Skylar and Em, come on, were going. Grab your stuff, were going to Luke's house and then the airport."

"Bye mom, we'll see you in a few months." He said heartless, before slamming the door.

We made a plan to go on Tour with my brothers new band 5 seconds of summer. We were staying for 4 months and then everyone was going back. Skylar and I are seniors and were taking our last year online while were on tour. When I signed up to go, my condition was I had to of been able to bring my best friend Sky. I never had many friends but Skylar is my everything. But I would have never guessed it would turn out the way it did....
