Zayn's pov

I couldn't help but laugh. I was so stupid that I didn't see it. She didn't flirt with me because she thought I had a girlfriend. But I haven't. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not selfish although I sound like it now. but most times girls try flirting with me, I already thought something wasn't right. Anyway, she seemed like a fun person. So when I wanted some girl to flirt with me ... she doesn't.

I walked into my next class, and I saw her talking to someone I really didn't like. One of my friends. He probably was trying to flirt with her. But from what I knew, she wouldn't flirt back. I saw her roll her eyes, and Donovan lick his lips.

I quickly took an empty seat, when the teacher walked in. I forgot the time looking at her. What's wrong with me. I notice I sat in front of the class. In one of front row seats.

"W-why do you sit here?" I heard a quiet voice beside me. I looked at her and she looked quite scared. Was I really that intimidating.

"Uhm. The teacher walked in and otherwise I would standing awkwardly in class. Why can't I sit here." I asked with a mocking tone as joke. But she got it wrong, and it was like I scared her away further into her cave.

"Well. Don't you always sit alone. A bit company can't hurt." I joked. She nodded her head slightly, but she didn't seem very convincing. She was shy and was scared. I didn't know I had this affect on someone .

"I g-guess I do." she whispered shyly. And I actually liked someone shy, just in a friendly way, not like I see Charlie. She seems to have something special which I can't really describe.

"Why though. Can't you be friends with those other nerds. Who clearly are obsessed with Star Wars and that kind of sh.it." I rolled my eyes, but she shook her head. Clearly not wanting to say more. Did I say something wrong?

"Don't." she whispered. And then the teacher walked in and class began, leaving me staring at Charlie. I can't help it, she seems like she is different, fragile, yet fun. Serious, yet out going. It's way different then the blond bimbos we have here.

The bell rang and luckily school was over. "Hey wait up." I yelled as Charlie sped down the hallways. Was she running away from me? I don't think so. She's probably playing hard to get.

"I'm sorry." Charlie said innocently, when I caught up to her. "My dad told me to come home quickly. You can come with me. My dad loves guests." she smiled at me and I smiled back.

"Alright, I'd love to meet your dad." Way to quick Zayn, now she'll just think you're a creep and eager.

"Nice. that could be fun." she smiled and then we walked out of school and into the parking lot. I wasn't rich, so I just had my bike. Charlie smiled and jumped on the back.

"Zaynn...." I heard Taylor behind me. I quickly peddled away, and I heard Charlie's cute laugh as I heard Taylor scream even louder. But as I drove away I didn't hear her anymore. And me and Charlie were laughing.

"Here left, and then the second right." she gave me directions towards her house and I was sure not to forget those, I could always pay her a surprise visit.

"And if you go to the right it's the second house from left." she said as I turned the corner. We made our way over to her house and I stopped my Bike. Charlie stepped off the bike and I placed it against a fence.

"Alright, so this is my house and yeah nothing much to say about it, I just came here so I don't even have seen all the rooms yet." Charlie said and she walk up the porch and opened the door with a key.

We both walked in and I looked at her house, it seemed very cozy, but at the same time serious like her dad who she told me was a business man. I looked at her and she looked at me, she gave me a questionable look and I smiled at her.

"lets go to my room." she said and she took my wrist and pulled me upstairs. I followed trying not to trip as she dragged me upstairs. she opened a door which I assumed was her bedroom.

"so quick already." I winked jokingly. she rolled her eyes. I thought she took me up here to flirt and maybe do more.. maybe a kiss? but she just laughed after she rolled her eyes. maybe another time.

"so what do you think?" she asked after we both stayed quiet. I wanted to ask something to make the silence dissapear, but she beat me to it.

"what do I think of what. because if it was about you, I would say you look absolutely beautiful" I flirted, but she just laughed it off, clearly not believing me. why wouldn't she. she was indeed beautiful.

"my room, what do you think of my room you dufus."she rolled her eyes as she sat down on her bed. but I was already laughing my head off.

"dufus really, why, couldn't you think of anything better." I teased. she crossed her arms and she huffed.

"because I don't think you're stupid, a di.ck, an idiot or any of those things, you're simply just a dufus."I laughed again as she explained herself. I shook my head and chuckled. she shrugged and patted the space beside her.

"didn't your dad want to see you?"I asked curious, she nodded her head and then opened her mouth but then quickly shut it.

"he's not home yet, I thought he was, so I quickly went home. but he's never actually home, I'm usually by myself."she explained and I saw the sadness in her eyes, and before I knew it I hugged her. she needed a hug and I knew it.

"please, don't be sad, you know you don't want to be sad. I'll be here for you when I need to."she smiled and looked up at me. and I thought I saw an emotion flash in her eyes. some sort of desire.

"Zayn, you have your 'social buisness' I can't take up that time, besides I got used to it I guess, but usually I would have a friend I could be with." she but air quotes on the words social and buisness. she hugged me tightly.

"Charlie I think this is the begining of a beautiful freindship." I said as I kissed her forehead.

it's sooooo boring here, I truculently at the hospital. this is going to be my fifth night and this boredom is honestly killing me. and the people here are horrible too, ugh :(
