A letter! From Evangeline! He reads it carefully, re-reading it until he knows it by heart. Should he write back? Of coure he should! His heart leaping with joy, he grabs a pen and paper from a nearby desk and starts to pour his heart out on it.

Daer Evangeline,
I am so glad you wrote back, it relieves me in a way. I need you to be my colours too. I swear we shall see each other again, I promise, with all my heart. Thank you, thank you for not forgetting me.
Are you alright? Is everything alright over there? How is the field looking? I miss waking up to take long walks with you and Leo. Is Leo still with you? If so, is he alright? I really miss it all, Evangeline, even nine years later. I will try to go over there as soon as possible. I know you can't come here.

He runs out of his house after putting the letter in an envelope and writing the address. When he finds a post box, he shoves in the letter. He misses her so much. Will he really ever see her again? He has promised, he has sworn on everything he has, but, will he manage to keep his promise? Yes, he has to. He will. They will be reunited once more.
