Bad Boys And Good Girls

My name Is Ellie Clifford. My dad married Karen,my stepmonster, and I got stuck with her and a step-brother named Michael.Ugh I just hate them both.I spend as much time as I can out of the house away from them,but it's kinda hard when my Dad is the principal, my step mom is one of my teachers,and Michael goes to the same school. Luckily,I usually only see Karen unless Michael and I pass each other in the hallway,but we never acknowledge one another.Most people don't even know we're technically related.

I throw myself into my schoolwork and my group of friends,who are more like a family to me.

There's Ashley, who is insecure,but shouldn't be because she's amazing.She is Sweet and thoughtful.Ashley has a huge heart and is insanely smart. she is patient,and caring and we all love her.

Then we have Cynthia, who is gorgeous but hides it by wearing baggy clothing, messy ponytails and glasses she doesn't need. She gets nervous easily and doesn't really trust anyone but us.She is sweet and kind,but probably the shyest of us all. If you try to get to know her like we have you'd know how amazing she truly is.

Next we have Emerson,but we usually just call her Em. She's more rebellious than Ashley and Cynthia. She also has a nerdy side,but she hides it well. Like me, she is a free spirit.She's very outgoing and hates to be controlled.She's crazy and loud but that's something we love about her.

Right now, I am running late to school but I don't really care.My first class is with Karen,and she's the reason I'm late.My dad had an early meeting so she had to take Michael and me to school .When I woke up there was a note that said,"Better run,you don't want to be late ~Karen" God she is such a bitch.Why did my dad have to marry her again?

"Where have you been?Class started 15 minutes ago"She said

"Sorry there were some family problems"I mumble

"Oh really?Like what?" she said crossing her arms.

Now,I am usually the type to keep quiet in class,so I surprised everyone when I said "My step mother being a Bitch is a huge problem".Which is how I landed detention after school. I always just get sent to the principal's(my dad's) office for an hour if Karen get's me in trouble, but this time I am really going to detention.

"Don't be scared.....I heard they can smell fear" Cynthia jokes.

"Oh stop making her feel worse.They can't smell fear or anything like that.Just don't talk to anyone."Em says confidently. I nod

"We'll wait for you to get out".Ashley says. I weakly smile and wave as I make my way to the detention room.

When I arrive there are nine people in the room,one being the gym/detention teacher.

"Stay in your seats and don't talk," the teacher says as he walked out of the room.

Those boys start talking as soon as he left the room.Did they not just hear the rules? I roll my eyes and start to doodle in my notebook,since I finished my homework.


"What's your name?"The curly haired boy asks,putting his feet up on another desk and his hands behind his head.

"We're not suppose to be talking."I mumble not looking up.

"Relax.he won't come back until 5 minutes before this ends."he said."So,your name?"I look up and see that all eyes are on me.I debated this quickly in my head before sighing and telling them my name.

"Ellie?That sounds familiar. Well,I'm Harry. and this is Louis Liam Zayn Niall Ashton Luke and Calum"He says.

I nodded, I already knew. They had a reputation around school for being Bad Boys. They were always starting trouble, and girls couldn't get enough.My dad talked about how they were always in the office for one reason or another. I'm pretty sure I've seen Michael around them,which didn't surprise me.

I did not want to associate myself with them,fearing it was the 'wrong crowd' that adults are always talking about. But something about them intrigued me. The rumors,I've heard,and the stories they were telling me seemed unfamiliar, but full of excitement and adventure, something my life didn't have much of.
