The Hidden and Discovered
~Chapter Four~
Tonya's Pov
Me
I hop in the car put my pepper spray in the glove compartment I and say," Ready Rose !!!!" Starting the engine I wait for a reply and I turn to the passenger seat, she's not there.
Looking around I shout out " Rose..... oh crap!!!" I get out the car and retrace my steps. I then hear a noise the sound of the crunch of leaves to my right side. I run to it and scream out ," Rose!!! " I hear a muffled sound and I sneak closer. I see his shadow and I peek beyond the tree I'm hiding behind seeing a guy most likely in a hockey mask and the rest of his body is covered in black clothing. He was carrying Rose over his shoulder, but he was very cautious looking behind him from time to time.
Finally, of 5 minutes of walking in silence he says" I know you're out there." I
freeze and my heart runs cold. I felt like my heart fell down Mount Everest.
He puts Rose down and I saw she was unconscious he walked forward to my left and he listened.
I held my breath. I backed up and went around some trees in Rose's direction while he looked around,
just as I was going to sprint to Rose's side he snapped his neck in my direction
and I froze I ran for my car. I thought of Rose... and
I did the most stupid thing possible for her instead of getting help. I ran back and he was waiting for me, I heard him smile in his mask has he said," I knew you would come back. " I held my ground from running again and I closed my eyes. I said," Let her go !!!" He didn't reply and I repeated myself.When he didn't say anything. I opened my eyes and he was gone but, Rose still lay in her spot eyes closed. I didn't dare look back, so I ran to Rose and tried to get her up. She opened her eyes and groaned," Oh, my head "
Her eyes then widened as she looked behind me and she yelled," Tonya look behind you !!!" I turned and didn't get a chance to see anything as everything went black.
I wake up tied up to a tree and I look around I'm outside a cave and I squint to see inside of it. I see....Rose? She was tied up too but it was to long and thick pole. It looks like it was nailed in months earlier. I struggle, the ropes are tight, whoever the killer is sure is handy with ropes. I rest my head on the tree and groan. This is why you don't investigate murders. I hear footsteps and I wait for him to come back, he says," Oh good. You're awake. " I raise a eyebrow and ask," Why tie us up?! You could've killed Rose right from the start and me when I had my eyes closed." He sits on a boulder and said," Well to be honest you girls are the first to find me when it was suppose to be the other way around, I find that very interesting." I
listened carefully so I might recognize the voice from anywhere but to do that, I had to keep him talking. " You kill girls, only girls. How do you even find them?! "
He chuckles and says," My you ask a lot of questions. Didn't anyone tell you to shut up." It's hopeless, he is good at disguising his voice. He got up and walked in the direction of the cave.
I have another plan though. " You're sooo judge mental I mean, you kill girls in the forest. How pathetic are you?!!!" He stopped and turned and my heart rate sped up and I paled, in a flash he was in my face and he clutches my throat, he immediately squeezes. The more I try to squirm the more he tightened, he said in a cold voice said," Don't ever, call me pathetic-" he pulls out a knife and continued," or I'll show you how pathetic...I could be." He then slaps me hard enough that I think there might be a bruise in a hand print tomorrow and walks in the cave. My plan worked, I was untying my ropes while he wasn't looking I'm free. I needed him to be blinded my anger to free myself, good thing when Rose and I was little we were in girls scout for a month. I liked it but it really wasn't Roses thing but, before we left early I got the best knot untier badge. I didn't untie it all the way though, I needed him to think I was still tied up so I could get us out of here without him knowing.
I hope Rose is alright though. Little light comes from inside the cave and I hear Rose waking up," Who are...are you?" He says nothing for awhile and says," Don't try anything because, I got you're friend tied up outside." Rose says," Tonya !!" I reply, " I'm here !!" He said," Now, I expect you'll cooperate." I see Rose nod and say," Hmm." He chuckles and replied," Good ."
