My Faults

Chapter Twelve

Louis' P.O.V.

"No," Baldy replied bluntly. "Why ever not?" I questioned. "For safety procedures. We can't have you disrupting her sleep. Tell me, Tomlinson, do you sit in her room and watch her sleep every night?" I looked at him dumbfounded. "Well of course not," I replied. "Then?" He questioned again, "What makes this situation any different? I ask you again to stay put, outside the room. I let you, out of my kindness, to stay right outside the monitoring room which we don't normally allow. Do you risk losing that privelege?" Crud.

"Fair enough," I grumbled. "I'll stay outside."

I glanced down at my watch almost jumping when I saw that the time was five in the afternoon. My stomach began growling so I grabbed Valerie's hand. I noticed how Bald Top stared at how our hands twined together. Is he.. jealous? I squeezed her hand so he noticed and he frowned lightly. Woah.. what an idiot. I'm pretty sure you don't get jealous of a girl's brother because they're holding hands. I laughed internally as Valerie let my hand go and linked arms instead. I cleared my throat loudly and bid the twat farewell.

I huffed loudly, glad that we were leaving. I looked at Lou as we exited the clinic. "Dinner?" I asked, hopefully. I saw an amused look play upon his face. "What?" I asked, chuckling. "You're actually hungry? You always say that you don't need food," Lou said, making a point. "Fine, I won't eat," I replied back, looking away from him. I suddenly felt him tug me to a stop. I turned to see him pout. Now that. That was a genuine pout. I laughed and dragged him along, heading towards The Little Cafe. "Don't be silly, Lou! Of course I'm eating!" I exclaimed.

I heard him let out a sigh of exaggerated relief. "THANK GOD!" he shouted out in public. I laughed hysterically as we walked into the cafe.

Good. They've left. That Louis seems really close to his sister. I grunted as I telephoned the administration. As the line was picked up, I said, "Hey love, this is Dr. Max George." I heard a sigh of content on the other side. What could I say? People love me. "What would you like me to do, Doc?" she asked in her best effort of flirtation. Geez... I replied hastily, "Could you please leave a message for each staff member here that they have early leave? I'm pretty sure there are no more patients." I heard her pause while the whizz of the computer carried through. "But sir," she said uneasily, "there's still Valeria Jones Tomlinson."

I smiled as I said, "Yes, I know. She's the last. And she's my patient." I let her understand what I meant and she replied shortly, "Of course, sir." It's sweet to have these connections.

Valerie's P.O.V.

After paying for our food, we left the cafe and back to the clinic, checking up on our bikes along the way. It was way past sunset, the streets looking bare without all its life wondering about. Louis walked close next to me as an uneasy silence fell upon us. "Lou.. I have a bad feeling. I don't want to sleep there. I'm scared," I blurted out. Louis turned towards me and said, "To be honest, Valerie, I have to agree with you. I have an itching feeling that this is the wrong thing to do but.. we trust Robbie and if he trusts that twat, then... " I nodded, getting the message. "I know but.. it's just.. really unnerving," I mumbled back.

Entering the clinic, there was no person in sight. Except the receptionist. I looked back at Lou who had a confused look on his face. "What happened? The apocalypse?" Lou exclaimed out loud. The lady looked up at us then smiled warmly. "Dr. George is waiting for you at the same room, down at the end of the hallway," she said, extending her arm out to her right, pointing down the hallway. I gulped quietly, walking towards the door again. I need to puke.

"Someone's a little fraidy cat. Fraidy cat, fraidy cat!" Of all damn times. Can you just shut the hell up? You were doing well for the past few hours. Why're you here? "To see the danger, begin."

Louis' hand found its way to my shoulders, steadying me as we stopped at the door. Before I knocked, Lou pulled me into a tight hug. "Sleep well, Kitty," he mumbled into my hair, "I'll be right here, okay?" I pulled away gently and nodded. "So long as you're here.. I'll be brave," I replied back. He kissed my forehead. Woah.. he doesn't usually do that. I smiled then tapped his nose. He smiled back then looked at the door. "Ready?" he questioned. I nodded quickly before I did otherwise. He then knocked on the door which opened immediately to our surprise. I took one final look at Louis then walked into the room. "Good to see you again, Valeria," Dr. George greeted, closing the door.

Louis' P.O.V.

I literally feel like punching that twat's face in. Nope. Stay calm. I made myself sit down, determined to stay calm. For Valerie.

Notes

You guys are probably gonna want to punch Dr. Max George in the next chapter. :/

@HeyItsGabi

Awwhh.. :( Don't cryyyyy. I'm sorryyy.

Thank you very much for taking the time to read my explanation.. it's been a hectic year. But.. now I'm happy and so is he and we're trying our best to keep our bond strong. Although it sounds like a lot of effort (which it is) when I put it down in words.... for some reason it doesn't feel like it. Maybe it's because I love him enough to not feel like any of this was a burden or is a burden. And he feels the same way too.

But I'm glad I'm back now, no longer weak.. I'm stronger and it's all thanks to God for blessing me with my soul mate. I am a happy person.

In two weeks time, my exams will be finished and then I can start writing new chapters for this story, hehehehe.

I'm so excited now! ^_^

Tears, literal tears. You are such an amazing person. I am so happy for you :) <3
