If You're Lucky.
You're still gorgeous.
Familiar warm, minty breath brushing down my neck. There's no way. He's supposed to in Texas or something like that right now. I turned around abruptly, coming face to face with an absolutely gorgeous face with the same smoldering green eyes that I love.
"Harry." I breathed, and overly large smile gracing my lips.
"Mase." He smiled back. My stomach twisting as I watched his dimples indent. Ah. Those dimples.
"What are you doing here?"
"I came to see you."
"You what?"
"I wanted to surprise you. So I insured the help of Logan over here."
I turned seeing Logan with a "Ha Ha." Face.
"I thought you were on tour?"
"Yeah well. We don't have a concert tomorrow, and I really wanted to see you. So here I am. But I mean, if you want me to go, I can leave."
"No." I answered rapidly making him laugh.
"Good. Because I could've just slept instead of sitting on a plane for six hours if that was that case."
I smiled again as he wrapped his long arms around my torso, mine going to his neck.
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"For coming to see me."
"Oh Pft. It's no big deal."
"Well it think it is." I cheered.
"Well seeing as you two are good. I'm going to go home. I love you Mase, and you two have fun. But not two much fun. Don't do anything I wouldn't do. Well that's a bad example. Just behave yourselves." He laughed before waving goodbye.
"So what do you want to do?" Harry questioned bringing his gaze back to mine."
"Um, I'm actually really hungry." I laughed shamelessly. Up until now I hadn't realized that I had yet to eat anything today. Well almost tomorrow since it was already eleven fifty.
"Me too, and I've got the perfect place."
Butterflies exploded as Harry grabbed my hand as he had the times before meshing our fingers into one another. I loved the way my tiny hands seemed to fit flawlessly into his considerably large ones, his finger tips reaching my wrists.
I couldn't contain the beaming smile the spread across my face as we pulled up to McDonalds. The one we had met at to be exact.
"You remembered which one it was?"
"How could I not?" He smiled back causing me to blush.
I had an amazing time just sitting and talking to Harry. There was so much I hadn't know about him until tonight and I was really happy that he actually paid attention whine I'd talk. Unlike most boys who could really care less about where I came from. I still hadn't told him about my father, but it wasn't the right time and it also happens to be a very private and personal thing to me. Not anyone besides my family and Logan know. It's hard now just even thinking about it.
"Mase, you okay?" Harry asked brining me back to reality.
"oh yeah." I smiled "did you want to come in and hang out for a little." Really? Why did you just ask him that. He's probably going to say no. He's been flying all day. Odds are he just wants to go home and sleep. "I mean, I understand if you don't want to. I'm sure you're tired and everything."
"No, I'd love to."
"Really?" I asked shocked.
"Of course. He smiled before getting out, walking around to my side to open the door for me like usual.
My stomach fluttered, like it had been all night only more harshly this time.
"I just need to change."
He nodded. Giving me the incentive to turn and walk up the stairs. It wasn't until I had got to my bedroom and was now opening the door had I realized the he had followed me. "What are you doing?" I questioned as he sauntered across my room, making himself comfortable on my bed.
"Laying here."
"I see that. How am I suppose to change with you in the room?" I questioned pulling sweats and a T-shirt from my dresser.
"How ever you'd like." He smirked mischievously.
"All you boys are a bunch of pervs." I mumbled before stepping into the bathroom. His loud laugh could be heard from the other side. Harry's arrival was more than unexpected but I couldn't be any more overjoyed that he would take his one day off for a while and visit me. It made me feel extremely special. I pulled my hair into a messy bun after changing. What took me longer was the increasingly hard decision on whether or not I should remove my makeup.
I was well aware of the fact that Harry had previously seen me without makeup, but I knew once I wiped it off it'd reveal the red puffy eyes I had worked very hard on concealing earlier. I had almost been crying on a daily basis from the bullying I was reviving and the unattractive puffy, red eyes seemed to stay in the process. I chose not to, dumping my dirty clothing in the hamper before exiting.
"Why are you still wearing your makeup?"
"I just didn't wash it off." I lied.
"Why not?"
"I don't know. I just didn't."
"Is it because of me?"
"No."
"Masyn."
"Harold."
"Don't Harold me. That's not even my real name."
"I know."
"Oh so you do know a little about me." He smirked.
"Oh, uh. Logan told me." I lied once again. I had actually read it in one of the books that I had bought. But I wasn't going to mention it.
"Mhm. Sure. You probably have a little shrine for me hidden somewhere in this place." He laughed.
"Oh no. Harry how'd you find out." I replied sarcastically.
"I'm just that good."
"You keep telling yourself that." I smiled.
"I will, but back to why you still have your makeup on."
"I don't understand why it's such a big deal."
"Because! I don't want you to feel like you have to wear makeup around me."
"I don't. Now usually I'd be perfectly fine without wearing any but not lately. Not when I was in public or around anyone but Logan.
"Then why don't you go take it off?" He challenged.
"Because, I..I don't want to."
"Mase, I'm still going to think you're hothouse either way."
"Yeah, but I... Wait what?" I asked, my eyes widening as his previous words just sunk in. Did he?
"I said, I'm still going to think you're gorgeous either way." He repeated, a nervous smile taking over.
"Oh." Wow. Really Masyn? All you can say is wow. An incredibly perfect man just told you he thought you were gorgeous and all you can say is oh. You're pathetic. He probably thinks you're lame now. Way to go. Just to and make yourself seem like a huge lame ass. Sometimes.. Ah.
"Oh?" He inquired, a smirk appearing.
"Yeah?" What were you even saying Masyn. Seriously. You've officially gone mental.
"Hm. Well, you should go wash your makeup off."
"I don't want to."
"But why?"
"Because."
"Because why?"
"Just because."
"It can't be just because. There has to a reason."
"Nuu uhh!"
"Yes huh."
"Nope."
"Do I have to wash it off for you?"
"No." I sighed. "I'll be right back."
"Thank you." He smiled widely getting comfortable on the bed. I grumbled in reply. I really didn't understand why it was such a big deal that I didn't wear any. I stood in front of the mirror washing off every trace of makeup that appeared on my face. Which only made my face redder than before. I hope that moisturizing and everything would help, but was to no avail. Wonderful.
I stepped back out keeping my face straight forward. Turning it to the side as I climbed under the covers beside Harry.
"Masyn"
"Yes."
"Why won't you look at me?"
"Who said I wasn't looking at you?"
"No one but since you've avoided turning your face in my direction..." He answered, trailing off at the end.
"No I wasn't. I just.."
"Don't lie." He interrupted me.
"I'm not. I mean, okay. I haven't looked at you but, my face is just red from cleaning it and I don't know. I don't like letting anyone besides Logan seeing since he already has."
"Mase, I'm not going to think you're ugly just because your face is red."
"I just.." I was cut off my a large hand turning my face in the direction of Harry.
"See. Still gorgeous as ever."
I blushed almost immediately causing a light chuckle to escape from between his lips. He was staring at me so intently I felt self conscious. You know when your teacher makes you get up in front of the entire class room and present so ridiculous project they assigned you. Well that's exactly how I felt right at this moment. It was as if all eyes were on me and I began stuttering like a blubbering idiot. But no. It was just Harry and I and he had all the power in the world to make me feel utterly and completely self convoys. I knew it wasn't intentional but I couldn't help it. It's like one of those horrific dreams you have where you end up forgetting your clothes and showing up to school completely naked. Now that would be tragic wouldn't it. I don't think you'd ever be able to live that down.
I looked at the baby pink sheets covering my mattress. "Do you I make you nervous?" Harry questioned, breaking the silence.
"Mm. Uh, no."
"Yes I do. I just don't know why."
"You are a very attractive human being if you hadn't noticed."
This made him laugh. "So I've been told."
Even though it wasn't just his looks that made me nervous. It was the way he looked at me. The intense stare from his emerald green eyes that he'd burn right back into my blue ones. How awkward and embarrassing I was around him. How I was all too afraid to make a complete fool of myself. How I acutely afraid that he'd just disappear from my life. Just like that.
And the fact that I didn't understand why I felt as if I needed him in my life. Which is quite weird since I've only known him for two months.
"So, what do you want to watch?"
"Um, whatever you want."
"I think you may regret that decision." I smirked, flicking through the channels.
"Probably." He chuckled again.
